  1. Fingers crossed dude, hope she's okay
  2. Painful. However, Bodyboarder is 100% correct: It's the internal vanes that determine which way the disc goes, not the grooves. Some discs ARE grooved forwards to clear the pad better at the expense of wear, most are grooved backwards though. Thing is, you can't tell just from looking at the side, end of. But yeah, great way to ingratiate yourself onto a new forum. Nothing like a bit of aggression, eh? Bet you're a riot when you walk into a new pub and start picking a fight with the locals.
  3. You don't actually believe that, do you?! If I drive to a friends' house and stay the night, and the car gets nicked, do you think they won't pay out then? What about if I park in town, have a few beers then go to collect the next day, only to discover the car isn't there? As long as you're honest with the insurer, there won't be a problem. You did exactly the right thing the way you handled it, if only everyone was that sensible
  4. Disagree. Half of the point of a forum is to guide sellers and buyers into what is a fair condition and price, to help everyone. When you remove that, you end up with a dull classifieds that no-one reads. Plus, if you're the seller then every time someone posts then it's a free bump Besides, we had this debate a couple of years back and it was decided then that the seller can ask for posts to be removed and the thread locked if they wish. Best way, let the owner of the thread decide, not everyone else.
  5. Possibly, but then you have to weigh up the additional cost of having the tracker fitted plus the annual sub. I hated the one on my old car, it was a right faff and gave so many false warnings it was unreal. Depends, if the car is there for just a couple of nights then that would be fine (no different to going on holiday really), but obviously if it lived there then there would be cause for an issue. Unlikely you wouldn't get paid out though, it's more probable they'd just take the extra premium from your payout before giving you the balance.
  6. I found the MPSS to be just as quick as the AD08R on track, if not a bit more as I had more feedback. That was on a circuit that was baking hot in the morning and drenched in the afternoon though! There wasn't much in it when wet, not as much as I expected anyway. Tbh I'd run either MPSS or I'd go 888, the AD08Rs are good but sit a bit too compromised on either for me. Very good tyres though.
  7. Well, I don't think I was too far off with these guesses all those months ago. Lewis has definitely made Nico look like crap, the McLaren definitely is a turd, and Seb has been miles better than Kimi. Sadly Alonso hasn't been better than JB, and Maldonado is still there.
  8. Made me chuckle too, that's quite awesome!
  9. It's a tricky one. My initial thoughts would be to take them to SCC, but it's certainly possible to kill a clutch via wear & tear in 6.5K miles. Tbh, I'd take the car elsewhere, get them to put a better clutch in and suck up that cost BUT get them to check everything at the same time. If they find anything wrong, then bingo: You go back to Nissan and state your case then.
  10. Took me 30mins before I saw it
  11. Took me ages to see it, but it's really obvious now! You'll kick yourselves guys...
  12. I'm assuming this form is just to release medical records, or something similar?
  13. Can someone please tell Lexus that their grill design is making all their cars look bloody awful? Please ditch it and put something sensible on, ta.
  14. I sat down and watched that episode on Xmas morning last year whilst waiting for Jo to get ready, she wondered why I was laughing my head off downstairs!
  15. Probably the latter. FWIW I believe the problem was massively overstated, as I've seen precious few Revups with this issue. Mine never suffered either. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, just that it's not as large a percentage as we might think.
  16. Oh I know this feeling only too well Drive down there and sit there until it's done. It's the only way. Anything else you do will take you past the threshold limit of this week and then you're stuffed. Ring the surgery, tell them you're coming down and expect the form to be signed. Legally it's not worth anything, as you could only sue for the cost of the signed letter not for anything related to it.
  17. I assumed it was £7K for the pair. It is, right?
  18. Exactly why I'm avoiding them I hate hard games. I play everything I can on Easy if I get the choice, as I want to be able to enjoy myself and relax rather than stress and get irritated by cheating AI or me just being rubbish. I play for the story as much as I do the action.
  19. Have to say, as much as there's a bunch of times I can imagine myself using a dislike button on here, it's not a feature I think would do anything other than harm this community.
  20. Actually, I played 3 before I did 1 or 2. I only bought 1&2 because of how f*cking amazing 3 was. Reach was also awesome, but Odious Tea was garbage.
  21. They don't need to be short campaigns though: Look at Goldeneye, it's a mllionty year old game that had loads of extra bits to do on the harder levels. Same with Perfect Dark. Halo 3 was an incredibly long game, certainly I didn't smash that out in two days like I could with Halo 5 if it's only 8 hours long. If you're going to make a game short, make it brilliant. CoD4 had the sniper level and the nuclear level, both of which were utterly stunning in execution. Lend me a copy of Halo 4 then!
  22. Pretty sure you would, you'd just have swerved left to avoid him rather than braking in a straight line. Also, you'd have slowed down to expect him to do something stupid, whereas the car just kept ploughing on at the same speed regardless.
  23. The ragtop is fugly with the roof up though. That's why I always had the roof down on mine, regardless of rain or snow!
