  1. Fronts coming in at £141, life left in my Fronts though....... so won't swap these yet. Will just have to run with a mixed set for a bit. Not ideal.....but needs must. Understeer city! Personally I'd just change the lot and have a car that had equal grip front and rear going into the winter period, and chuck the 452s on eBay.
  2. And your girlfriend had to buy it for you too
  3. Sounds like a good price to me, same price for front and rear?
  4. Well if price isn't an issue, then the only sensible option is the MPSS. Best tyres you can get full stop, short of the semi-slick stuff. I've done 10k miles on my set, and they're far from looking remotely worn on the rears. Fronts looked like new!
  5. Well, in theory you could ask for a remap to smooth out power delivery and insist that they don't give you a dyno reading: That way, when asked by your insurer how much power you've added you can truthfully say you don't know as you had the remap for other reasons. Another way to view it is that insurers are covering you based on the car having lost power, so you are increasing it from that base level with a remap
  6. Yes. Experience *should* bring lower premiums, that's common sense. Always used to make me chuckle when insuring Jo on her cars, like the MR2 or the Clio. "Any experience madam?" "Well, I've driven a 320bhp Impreza and a 385bhp 911, does that count?"
  7. Well, if people weren't videoing then he wouldn't be doing it. Stupidity breeds stupidity, sadly. That said, he was clearly in control of the vehicle unlike others I've seen doing it in that area. However, it only takes one slip and he's bashed a car, so he's still a bellend.

    which tyres?

I don't believe it should be part of any sane person's specification when choosing a tyre, unless they never intend to drive on it. You've clearly got background in this, out of curiosity what is it you do/did? Not picking holes, you clearly know your onions, I'm genuinely interested.
  9. High risk postcode + U25 = expensive insurance I expect.
  10. If you chewed through the F1s, you're going to chew through the Toyos and Falkens even quicker. What alignment settings are you running? How many miles did you get out of the F1s?
  11. I know where you mean, good description! No excuse for car to car contact there, clearly someone driving like a numpty.
  12. So you don't think that a company that was once a part of a bigger company and still has intimate ties in terms of staff & knowledge will be able to get things sorted quicker than one who has no connection whatsoever, and gets put to the bottom of the pile? I'm not saying they're perfect, and things will always fall through the gap, but on the whole you're more likely to get a quicker and more positive outcome if there are external network issues with Openreach if you're with BT. I've never received anything other than great service from BT, but people always shout louder when there's an issue: That's why the big guys always have more complaints. For example, speak to a domestic appliance engineer and he'll tell you that Indesit machines don't go wrong any more than Bosch ones, but because people buy more Indesit there's more problems around.
  13. Ah yes, 'should'. No chance, Openreach will always prioritise BT first. Very cosy relationship. Plusnet are very customer friendly though, they're my second choice provider. Not as cheap as they used to be, but still excellent and chatty.
  14. I'm not sure he would. He'd more likely stand up and confront him, like he did with Massa five years ago. Actually, I don't think he'd have reacted at all, he's a much more mature driver now. Rosberg just cannot handle pressure or losing at all.
  15. You think PlusNet or Sky are any more secure? There's plenty of reasons to leave TalkTalk, but the current situation isn't one. Personally I stick with BT, as their cosy relationship with Openreach makes problem solving significantly quicker.
  16. That's great picture of those two, they look so comfortable Three weeks today she went, still hurts like mad. I picked her ashes up on Friday, the box has "Gone from our touch, but never from our hearts" on it, which I really like. And congrats on awesome fridge choice!
  17. That is one of the best sayings I've ever read regarding stupid people and the internet, that's utterly brilliant sir!
  18. Cali not 350 (whatever a Ferrari 350 is!), surely?
  19. That's not a spoiler, it's an easter egg! Odds of playing it on your birthday? Probably not that high, unless you do it by chance.
  20. I still call BS. I'd certainly be challenging that with the ombudsman, and then with the courts as an unfair term.
  21. Send it to those stupid TalkTalk customers on the telly blaming everyone else for them being scammed out of cash after TalkTalk got hacked, they seem a particularly gullible lot...
  22. And when you've got them off, go throw them in the bin and put normal nuts on
