eBay the Toyos, fit MPSS all round I really wouldn't mix MPSS front with Toyos rear, that'll be oversteer city.

Erm, I hate to be that guy, but unopened? When you've clearly opened the box to take a picture of them?

Unfortunately, you can't force them to fix it, and given their attitude I don't think you're going to end up with the car. However, the threat of a court case might just force their hand, so either way you've nothing to lose by starting the procedure. Don't even worry about the warranty, that's not what you're relying on at this point. Even if they do drop the car off, don't accept the keys, or simply take the keys back and keep it all on video. Good luck man, if you want help with the letters or anything shoot me a PM. -

Very simple, although you will have initial cost to make the most of your case. First, send them a letter by recorded delivery outlining your case, as you've done above. Keep it factual and to the point, as you'll be using it in court. Detail the purchase, when you noticed symptoms, when you told them, and what they then did. Tell them you expect them to collect the car within 48hrs and repairs to be completed within 14 days. Both of these are *reasonable*, which is important. Next, when the 48hrs are up and they've done nothing, ring them to confirm they have no intention of doing anything, then write them another recorded letter stating that you are going to get another garage to confirm what is wrong, and will be pursuing them for any loss. Make sure they've received this, then do exactly that: Get the car recovered to another garage, and get them to do a report on EXACTLY what is wrong. This will cost you, sadly. At this point, you confirm all this to the original garage via recorded letter, and that you will be rejecting the car. And yes, you will likely have to do that I'm afraid. Once they confirm they're not going to do a damn thing, you start the process via Moneyclaim Online. You supply copies of the letters, what you are claiming for (initial car cost plus the garage report) and you MUST get the car dropped off at their place. Video everything if you must, but confirm they have the car and the keys! At this point, let everything play out. Yes, I would also contact your credit card company and let them know you'll be looking to reject the vehicle, and tbh you might be able to win by just dropping the car off in the first place then pursuing it. However, I'd rather get as much evidence against them as possible, don't give the courts any reason to rule against you.- 60 replies

But it's a brand name, so doesn't need translation. It's just laziness. I'm still going to carry on using Nissan though, even if it is wrong
-
Nissan is actually pronounced Neesahn, it's just dumb Brits that say it wrong. Yes, I say Nissan too. To my eternal shame.

No idea, sounds plausible though as the whole system is computerised. It's a Government run computer system, it was never going to work perfectly Not sure it'd bother me in the slightest though.

Brilliant!

They are utterly brilliant, aren't they? Do yourself a favour after the purchase and go and see Chris Franklin at Center Gravity in Atherstone, for £300 he'll check all your suspension and give you the best alignment you'll ever get. May not seem cheap, but I promise you it's an absolute bargain.

To keep the numbers in perspective, that's showing a 12 year old DE making MORE than the factory power output before the remap. As such, I'm not personally convinced I'd take those numbers as gospel. What this does illustrate nicely, however, is that the increase between the before and after is far more important than the numbers themselves. It could be saying 280 and 300, or it could be saying 250 and 270, or it could say 400 and 420: Either way, it's the increase that's important and the only reliable numbers there. Dynos by their very nature are not the most hugely accurate things when it comes to min/max numbers, but they are incredibly good at telling you the difference between two runs.

Nowt wrong with painting the hat where it rusts, but for the love of taste please don't do it in anything other than black.

I'd actually go for the purple, that looks amazing. Add some purple to the interior to blend it all in, and that would be a stunning car.

Not really, assuming the two engine issues you refer to are bore scoring and IMS bearing failure. The only other must-do is to get a full inspection before you purchase, specifically a boroscope check to look for the bore scoring. IMS you take a punt on, however MY07 cars will have the later release of the bearing so about as good as you can hope for. Bearing in mind that issues with the IMS usually occur between 40k to 80k, there's actually an argument for getting an early car with high miles on, assuming the bores come back okay. What money you save can then be put towards upgrades or refreshes as you see fit. Spec-wise it's very much up to you, although please avoid the Tiptronic 'box! Personally I'd be looking for a car without the PCM sat nav (as it's crap), with the sports seats (for extra shoulder support), without PASM (one less thing to go wrong) and on the smaller 18" wheels (to ride better). However, if you do like every other 9x7 owner does and buy a car on 19"s, you MUST have PASM else the ride can be very harsh. Warranty you take a punt on, some will refuse to cover IMS and bore scoring due to it being a known issue with the car, or if they do cover any of it it's often not the full amount. You can still get the OPC warranty at that age though for another two years, so if you can definitely get that as it's the only thing that covers EVERYTHING, although you then can't mod the car and have to run N-rated tyres etc. Personally, I never found that an issue. But yeah, please get the inspection. I cannot state how important that is, and a couple of hundred quid can save you thousands.

You need to know your goals first. Only you know that.

C'mon, you know he would! And Pakistan definitely would, as it would properly screw with the Muslim faith.

What about it? How much power do you want to prep for when you go FI?

Either North Korea or Pakistan would fire nukes at any visitors, and I'm pretty sure the aliens wouldn't be that discriminating with their reply.

As a race, we can't even handle a few people arguing over who's got the best pretend friend, so there's no way in hell we're ready for extraterrestrial life. If it ever was/has been found, the governments will make sure we never know. I'm the least tinfoil hat wearing person you'll meet, but the discovery of aliens would cause wars far beyond what the planet is already hosting.

You're looking more and more suspect with every post. Groomed a minor to be a teacher so you have unlimited access to minors. Got to respect you for the long game I guess. Coffee, keyboard Ah man, that was a good one, I'll give you that
