  1. Yup, no issues at all. Although I wouldn't tell them about the Uprev, as they may well claim that the extra power killed the clutch or associated bits. Best keep that one to yourself.
  2. Cheapest you'll probably get are the Design 911 'Designtek' range of exhausts, depending on whether you want valved or not. They're decent enough quality, not quick Milltek quality but good enough that I'd be happy with them.
  3. Absolutely, I've always said the rev limit was a far bigger draw to the HR than a bit of extra power
  4. It's actually 308.7bhp, so 309bhp is what's usually used
  5. It says MEL, perfect for a Melanie I guess. Probably not worth more than a couple of hundred quid though, same as what you'd pay for anything else. Still, right buyer and all that.
  6. An 06 276bhp could well have the higher rate of VED as well. Now I know I bang on about that being peanuts in the grand scheme (and it is), but if you're going to pay the extra then at least get the 296bhp version, or preferably the HR!

What kind of a girly wuss uses the disposable gloves at petrol stations anyway?!
  8. Well, it's not impossible. Certainly sounds like the clutch is slipping, but it could just be poor adjustment too. Easy way to tell is to go out and sit at 30mph in 5th gear, then floor the throttle. If the revs rise but the speed doesn't then yes, it's goosed. However, are you referring to upshifts or downshifts? I wonder if it's anything to do with the rev matching stuff...

Couldn't care less how much torque it has, it sounds like a tractor and revs to about 23rpm and thus has no interest to me.
  10. No. They're separate transactions. You can buy the new plate whenever you like. Go to the DVLA website and click the link about retaining a registration number, it's all very straight forward now.
  11. And more of a general rule this one, but on a similar line ALWAYS undo the filler plug on a transmission fluid change BEFORE the drain plug. Nowt worse than emptying the transmission to discover you can't fill it back up!
  12. Just whack a screwdriver through the middle of the filter, then use that to spin it off. Easy peasy. Also, this is why K&N filters are great, as they have a nut on the bottom you can get a socket onto.
  13. Really? Never noticed
  14. Maybe it was just the song they sang, like they had to give Mark his token chance at writing a song and once again he let everyone down. You could almost see poor Gary cringing as he sang the chorus.
  15. Very common, every BD disc I've ever had has done that. Time to grab the black Hammerite!

    Brakes

I like going to Spain for a nice brake, it's lovely down at the front Budget?
  20. More to it than that, I suspect. Also, rather too many than not enough.
  21. I thought the same thing, nearly posted on FB but didn't want her to unfriend me!
  22. It's all about satisfactory quality, and clearly this isn't. That was the core of the SOGA, still applies to the CGA so I don't see any issues.
