  1. Meant to post some pics in this thread over the weekend, totally forgot! Posting here now so I don't forget again. But yeah, I've got a bunch of guitars, a couple of basses, and an electric drum kit in the man cave. Nothing super expensive or fancy, but enough to keep me occupied.
  2. If I fits, I sits!
  3. Again, if prices are realistic then those comments don't get posted. In the case of Camy's thread, the prices weren't realistic so everyone told Camy that. The prices were then changed to something that was much more realistic, which means that both cars for sale are now bang-on the money. Camy comes out of it having a 100% better chance of selling the cars, so everyone's a winner. It's not just cars: Parts, random items, everything benefits from having sensible prices. If I turn around and manage to sell half an apple for £100 just because I manage to find the one gullible idiot who has no idea what half an apple is worth, that doesn't make it a good thing for the apple owning community. It just means that someone else is going to tell him that he paid well over the odds, and that guy will resent not being told the truth in the first place.
  4. Two places I've used and would recommend: Sollis Panelcraft, Harlow - They did my brother's Temper Zed repairs and it was a prefect colour match. Very professional, but friendly too. Make sure you go to Harlow not Chelmsford though, as the Chelmsford branch is gash. Kraftwork Vehicle Refinishing, Chelmsford - Dav is a friend of ours, he carried out a front end respray on the Impreza that was flawless. He also quoted me an incredibly fair price on a front end spray for the 911, which I'd have taken had I kept it. He primarily works on Ferraris, Porkers, Astons etc, so high end stuff. Lovely guy, always very busy, but he'll be doing anything I ever need painting from now on.
  5. Still here! Currently sat in the garage waiting for me to repair a sheared manifold to turbo stud, but once I've done that it'll be going up for sale, along with a billionty bunch of spares I've got sitting here for it. I love it, but I need the cash for other projects so sadly it'll be going shortly.
  6. It's like you read my mind I was always happy with the chrome when the car was fully silver, but now the roof is black I'll definitely be changing the kidney grill ASAP. The stuff round the windows will also get done, but I'll try and source that second hand rather than pay new prices or wrap/paint it.
  7. Truth is that a decent item at a sensible price attracts nothing but positive comments on here. It's a great community that looks out for each other, and I'd hate to see that ever change.
  8. They're all made up and in my head, but sure, plenty of them!
  9. No. But if I was in a public place and someone was pimping something massively overpriced and I was amongst friends, you bet your ass I'd tell them.
  10. So negative comments and they still sold? Dude, I'm really struggling to see your problem.
  11. So what's the problem then? You get free bumps with positive comments, and if the comments aren't positive then either there's a problem with the item or a problem with the price. This place sells thousands of items and cars every year, and I can count the number of threads that get asked to be edited on one hand. That to me says that this place works very well as-is.
  12. FWIW, considering the mods on the car, I'd say these are bang on the money right now.
  13. Very good news, although I'm sure she doesn't feel like that right now! I'm an ex-rider too, I pretty much gave up after my first big fall so I know how painful it can be, please pass on my best for a speedy recovery.
  14. So three of your ads have had to be tidied up because of comments you didn't approve of? Does that not tell you something?
  15. Totally wrong! Right, that's it, outside now!
  16. AND THEN??
  17. The toe out at the front will One man's twitchy is another man's agile, for me I'd be very happy with that setup on my car.
  18. Fingers crossed dude, hope she's okay
  19. Painful. However, Bodyboarder is 100% correct: It's the internal vanes that determine which way the disc goes, not the grooves. Some discs ARE grooved forwards to clear the pad better at the expense of wear, most are grooved backwards though. Thing is, you can't tell just from looking at the side, end of. But yeah, great way to ingratiate yourself onto a new forum. Nothing like a bit of aggression, eh? Bet you're a riot when you walk into a new pub and start picking a fight with the locals.
  20. You don't actually believe that, do you?! If I drive to a friends' house and stay the night, and the car gets nicked, do you think they won't pay out then? What about if I park in town, have a few beers then go to collect the next day, only to discover the car isn't there? As long as you're honest with the insurer, there won't be a problem. You did exactly the right thing the way you handled it, if only everyone was that sensible
  21. Disagree. Half of the point of a forum is to guide sellers and buyers into what is a fair condition and price, to help everyone. When you remove that, you end up with a dull classifieds that no-one reads. Plus, if you're the seller then every time someone posts then it's a free bump Besides, we had this debate a couple of years back and it was decided then that the seller can ask for posts to be removed and the thread locked if they wish. Best way, let the owner of the thread decide, not everyone else.
  22. Possibly, but then you have to weigh up the additional cost of having the tracker fitted plus the annual sub. I hated the one on my old car, it was a right faff and gave so many false warnings it was unreal. Depends, if the car is there for just a couple of nights then that would be fine (no different to going on holiday really), but obviously if it lived there then there would be cause for an issue. Unlikely you wouldn't get paid out though, it's more probable they'd just take the extra premium from your payout before giving you the balance.
  23. I found the MPSS to be just as quick as the AD08R on track, if not a bit more as I had more feedback. That was on a circuit that was baking hot in the morning and drenched in the afternoon though! There wasn't much in it when wet, not as much as I expected anyway. Tbh I'd run either MPSS or I'd go 888, the AD08Rs are good but sit a bit too compromised on either for me. Very good tyres though.
