  1. Do your own one I reckon, that way you know exactly what you're getting and that everything will be awesome.
  2. Cripes, an SMG one! They're even rarer than the manual 'box, that's a great find! Here's my take on everything, for what it's worth. The sensible thing to do is to get on the property ladder, as house prices and interest rates are only going one way from this point. It's NEVER going to be cheaper to get into the market now, and by doing so you set yourself up for life if you do it even vaguely sensibly. That said, cars are a hobby, a passion. If you can afford it and know the downsides, then just do it as you're only young once. I spunked a fortune on cars before buying a decent sized house, but I wouldn't swap those memories for anything.

    2003 350GT

Nope, still no idea if I like that or not!
  4. Supreme is fine, no better or worse than any other premium fuel in your car.

    Continental Tyres!!!

If they're the 5s (and they probably are), then yes, they're good tyres. Definitely get the alignment sorted, what kind did you have on the old car? If you've got the exact figures, even better. IIRC the 370 has a shorter wheelbase too, so that might account for it feeling twitchier.
  6. Doesn't sound like he's done either though.

    Continental Tyres!!!

Possibly. Which Contis? Some are better than others. What tyres did you have on your 350? I suspect it's down to the weather conditions, it being a new car and probably the alignment too.
  8. Actually, I agree with Jetpilot, life isn't fair. However, racism isn't and it CAN be sorted.
  9. Well then, if he's not already contacted the courts he's an idiot.
  10. Take the wheel off and do it, it's the only way to rescue something if it's that bad.
  11. See, I think he's actually very good, he just doesn't appear in films that would be classed as Oscar winning. I Am Legend was close, but look at all the other stuff he's done: As much as I love Independence Day (and I do, it's my favourite film of all time), it's not exactly Oscar winning material!
  12. Or you could go back and read my reply in the other thread Just use regular shampoo and some fallout remover.
  13. Why did you not leave this in the old thread where I answered your question?
  14. Whilst I get what you're saying, and it's probably all true, there's still so much more to think about. What if there's simply not as many black people who are actors or directors because they just don't want to be? Should we be pushing forward for the mediocre few that do want to do it simply because we feel that there's a lack of diversity? Now, if we're talking about the entire movie making business as a whole then yes, I believe we should. However, the Oscars (and other awards shows) are about celebrating the very best for a given year. They can only vote for what's in front of them, and if there were no decent performances by black people then how is that their fault? Should they remove a great white performance for an average black one? And what about all the black folks who make the films themselves? I don't mean just the important people like the lead or the director, but what about the blood and guts of the industry? The grips, the costume designers, the script writers, the casting people etc. Bet there's a few black people in that list, but now we're saying that if a film doesn't have a black person in an important role then that film may well not get the chance to be listed? Imagine you're a black seamstress, who worked damn hard to put together the costume for the latest Tom Cruise film, which got rave reviews but because there was a film with Denzel in (that was average at best) your efforts got discounted because the lead guy was white. I can't think of anything more disheartening. What about all the millions of white actors that don't get a chance because the market is already flooded with white actors? They have to work just as hard, if not harder to make themselves stand out to get their big shot. As a child, everyone can do anything they want. Rich or poor, if they want it and work hard enough they'll get it. You think a six year old who wants to be an astronaut can't? Or a footballer? Or the leader of a country? They can, and they don't see race as an issue at all. This all starts at that age, and when they have parents around them telling them that because they're white they have to be a doctor or because they're black they can't be an actor, that's where the problems really begin. Jo use to see it all the time with kids at her old school, when even a bright young thing would start seeing the world through different eyes because of what Mummy and Daddy say, simply because they live in a rough area. It HAS to start then, THAT'S where the change will come from. Sorry, that looks like I'm ripping your post to shreds Stu, when actually I think you make some incredibly reasoned and intelligent comments which I agree with.
  15. The Bilt Hamber stuff will be fine, as will anything that doesn't have acids in really. Personally, I'd simply use some regular car shampoo and then use a good fallout remover as well. Safer all round.
  16. Actually that's a good point: Apart from the top-end guys like McLaren, Ferrari et al, do any regular manufacturers offer interesting colours these days? I mean, I love the current Mazda red, but it's just a red at the end of the day.
  17. Mint green one is nice.
  18. 'White privilege' is a term describing the social issues that allow white people to maintain an advantage based upon their skin colour. I meant it in that term, rather than any different meaning.
  19. Dear god where's the mute button?! Heh, I liked that vid, good effort. Now go and clean those exhaust tips!
  20. The problem is more that race is still the single biggest issue in America right now, and people are able to use the Oscars as a platform to speak out on the subject. Race is a huge issue, but until everyone simply stops thinking that way then things will never change. Every time a black man isn't voted for it's because he's black, every time a black man is shot by a cop it's because he's black, every time a black man doesn't get a job it's because he's black. Never mind that it might be because the film wasn't very good, or that he was a criminal, or that he was crap in the interview. Of course, it very well might be that a few individuals in each case are racist, I'm not stupid enough to pretend otherwise. But then I'm a privileged white man, so my thoughts don't count and I'm forbidden about speaking in anything other than abhorrent terms when it comes to racial issues. Instead of trying to change minds now (which, lets face it, isn't going to happen) it would be so much better simply to educate our kids correctly and make sure the next generation doesn't see colour as an issue. How you stop the parents teaching them bad habits I don't know, but I think if there was a concerted effort to go down that route then things would get better over time. I don't believe that the world as a whole is racist.
  21. Next week for PC release, isn't it? Gonna need a beefy PC to do it full justice in 4K, but it should look stunning. I think I'm about 3/4 of the way through it now, such a brilliant game and it was a real shame it was overlooked by many as F4 came out at the same time.
  22. Can't get any more amateur than not producing one!
  23. Sounds like perfect TV for a Hot Chocolate Drinker You're only jealous of my awesome evening drinkies
