Back off, leave a clear space in front of you, then get past as quickly as conditions allow. That said, it's only a bit of grit, it won't kill the car. No, I wouldn't sit behind one for miles and miles, but it's no worse than the stones normal traffic pings up at your car every single day.

Best courier? Right now, I'd say DPD. Real time courier tracking leaves you in no doubt where the parcel is, and I've never found their guys to be anything less than professional.

Should be: 50-20 low pressure x10 70-40 med pressure x10 100-40 as hard as you can before ABS x10 ...each with a long gap between, driving at speed to get some decent airflow over the brakes to cool them i.e. not touching them at all. In theory a little smoke isn't surprising, but a lot would be a worry. And make sure you don't sit on the brakes at a junction when they're that hot, you'll transfer material over in seconds.

Just knock a couple of inches off the blade size, pick a really cheapy one up from eBay or wherever, just make sure it's new so that it does actually work
