  1. Beautiful.
  2. The use that the OP is after wouldn't be covered by trade plates, unless I'm missing the obvious. Even ignoring the fact he's not a trader
  3. It's when registered in the UK IIRC. So in your example, the car would pay the higher rate of VED.
  4. *sigh* That has precisely zero to do with anything. Just so we're absolutely clear, would it be reasonable to state the following as fact? - You, one single person, says that a 350Z will always make extra power when you add breathing mods, and that these gains will stay there forever and a day WITHOUT a remap. - The collective knowledge of over 10 years of all the users on here (plus little ol' me) say that a 350Z will initially make extra power after breathing mods are added, but that the ECU will cancel these gains out after a short period of time UNLESS you remap. The one proven exception being a plenum spacer on the DE engined cars. Is that correct? Yes or no is fine. I just need a baseline to work from.
  5. Yeah, you'll have to tax the car for the whole month even if only using it for a day.
  6. If that's the stupidest thing you've ever heard, then clearly you've not read your own posts back on this forum. The rest of us have sadly had to put up with reading much more unintelligible garbage than my simple yet factually correct statement.
  7. Bearing in mind the one breathing mod we know keeps the gains is a plenum spacer, which the OP has. Not aimed at you Ricky, just commenting in general.
  8. Agreed. Cough up and accept it I think, bearing in mind you'll also have to lose a month of VED as well.
  9. Been a lovely day here, gorgeous sunshine and a pleasant 5c.
  10. Cripes, that's absolute peanuts, what a great buy!
  11. I'm guessing a plenum spacer by Wasso, a custom 3" midpipe, Motordyne ART decats and a Pipercross air intake
  12. Ugly as sin, but worth it for the engine. We looked at one before buying the Mini, and I really wish I'd put my foot down and pushed wifey in that direction instead. M Sport steering wheel, perchance?
  13. I would never seriously consider listening to music on YT. It's a rubbish interface for doing that, especially when you have Spotify et al. It surprised me when Bowie died and the radio station started playing his stuff non-stop just how much of his stuff I know and like. As such, it would be worthwhile for me picking up some of his earlier stuff to see if the albums are to my taste as well, and it only takes a few people like me to do the same out of curiosity more than anything. Given that Spotify also qualifies for the main charts these days, people may well be listening to the stuff non-stop as a tribute for gratis. @Linus: Cheers for the heads up on those tracks, I'll pick them up and use them for fine tuning. I also use Sting's 'Fields Of Gold' for that kind of thing, it's very intricately laced with multiple subtle tracks that I never noticed until someone pointed them out to me. He's still an absolute bellend, but I can't knock his music
  14. I mean, my setup isn't especially fancy by any means (Kef iQ90 fronts, iQ50 centre, iQ30 rears, Kube2 sub, VSX 920 AVR) but I can still tell the difference between the lower and higher bitrate stuff even on that. Maybe not on some modern compressed stuff, but certainly when you go back to things like Thriller, or even Fat Of The Land; things that have very high production values are especially noticeable.
  15. Be aware folks, those of you with the Admiral group aren't covered for the value of your mods should you have an accident.
  16. Isn't it just
  17. I can only imagine how lethal it would've been on either rubbish tyres or if I'd taken the MR2 on 888s.
  18. Not even in the same league. Like comparing a 370 with a GTR, in a way. A great car for what it is, but if you're after something that will suck your eyeballs out then you need the big power.
  19. New MOT (no advisories), new seal on the AC compressor so it blows ice cold again, and my favourite geo settings now back on the car. If only the roads weren't quite so cold, I'd be in absolute heaven.
  20. It's pretty difficult to determine the difference between lossless and 256 unless you've got some decent kit (i.e. not your car stereo!), but when you can it will blow your mind. I still grab 256 via iTunes because of ease, but a lot of my older stuff is ripped in Apple lossless and it sounds immense on the home stereo. And no, a set of Beats headphones will not suffice either. I actually tried some of the new ones the other day, I cannot believe that people are still buying these under the impression they're actually top-end. Imbalanced garbage.
  21. Nearly died today! Let's just say that a road on which you can spin the wheels up in 4th at 30mph isn't a very fun road at all
  22. It's not really damage though, not really. It'll work absolutely fine, that weld looks as good as any others, no issue at all. I mean, send it back if you want, but I think it's like rejecting a banana because it's not the right angle.
  23. Not convinced I'd be that bothered, tbh. Probably dropped in the workshop, slight dent, welded to prevent a leak. You wouldn't even know it was there when on the the car.
  24. Linky no worky, you've parsed the code incorrectly matey. Everyone should have an OBDII reader these days really. With a smartphone, you just need a £10 dongle and some free software and you're sorted.
  25. Right, gotcha. Might be worth speaking with Meister R directly, but I'd be very surprised if the kit sat the same as stock at the max settings. That said, I would be equally amazed if those settings weren't more than sufficient to clear any speedbump without issue: Certainly on every car I've ever fitted new springs and dampers to that were adjustable, I've always been able to set it at a sensible height as I don't see the point in going super-low either. I think you're probably over-thinking this if I'm honest, which is of course the better way to be, but it's not something I'd give a second thought to. Even just dropping 20mm would still clear any legal speedbump with ease, plus you'll have firmer dampers too so the car won't sag as much when you do come across the bump.
