  1. Who cares anyway? Power contests is for pub debates, there's more to driving than which is quicker. It's the reason I'd take a Gallardo over a GT-R, or a GT86 over a FRS, or an standard Elise over a supercharged one.
  2. Well, yes it is actually. At regular speeds I'm going to stick my neck out and say that both cars have gearing vaguely the same: We're not talking about a Caterham here that tops out at 110 in 5th! Are they blind then?
  3. I believe him. Look at the power to weight ratio if nothing else.
  4. Case in point - he lives in Essex. Oi!
  5. I was just coming on here to suggest the Kuga! I'd take that over anything Nissan or Mazda offer in that range.
  6. If I could have the V10 in the 1 series chassis, that would be absolutely perfect. The M6 is 100% brilliant *because* of that engine, it wouldn't feel half as amazing without it. I mean, of course I like my 645, but it's not in the same league as the M6, nor is it as chuckable as a 135i.
  7. I tried, believe me. The controls were too squiffy and like I said, the save system was silly. I know it's a brilliant game, one of the best ever made, but it just didn't do it for me. Tell you how much I liked the story though, I went and read a bunch of spoilers to see how it did actually end
  8. Oh, it's a Jetta. Or a big Golf, if you prefer. Never heard that name before!
  9. So yeah, pinch of salt.
  10. Conditions, drivers, weather, temps, what they can do for TV for good viewing etc. Same for anything. Unless I know they've been run on the same day by the same driver, I always take things with a pinch of salt.
  11. Comparing anything on TG is pointless.
  12. I hated it too. I mean, I know it's a brilliant game, but I just couldn't get on with it at all. The save system was daft, I'd kill a bunch of zombies then die, and the save would put me right back in the middle of the zombies I'd just killed who had respawned. That did my head in.
  13. RWD vs FWD, sports chassis over a shopping trolley chassis. Weight is about the same, but I'd bet on the 350 having a lower CoG and with RWD it'll be able to power out from the corner faster. All assuming stock for stock and same driver, of course.
  14. In a straight line once you're moving, yes. Round a corner? Not convinced.
  15. The fact I'd make a green RS one of my first purchases post-lottery win says a lot, especially from someone like me who hates most things FWD Ford got everything so, so right with the exterior of that car.
  16. It's not officially for sale yet as I need to replace the turbo to manifold gasket before I move her on, which is planned for this month. I can always pop you a spec list and a few pics over if you like though
  17. A turbo one stripped out is a whole different kettle of fish, trust me! It would leave a VX for dead, and I say that as an owner of both. I know what you mean though. An MX-5 with some FI would be a riot, but I don't think it would suit you.

    Quad Pipes!

    I sense a budding bromance...
  19. And our TV isn't subtitled or dubbed, or full of adverts every 20 secs.
  20. Kinda what I was thinking. Stunning looking car though, just a shame it's an NA slushbox. Would make a nice daily driver though!
  21. No-one 'loves' understeer, it's the spawn of Satan! To me, FWD will always feel inferior to any RWD setup, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good FWD. Just as a thought Mr Turtle, how about a turbocharged mk3 MR2? I know of one for sale for £4K, fully track prepped and will be quicker than anything else on that list.

    Quad Pipes!

You won't really gain any torque at high revs, but you will be gaining power. I reckon that's what you're feeling more than anything. I like it, normally not a fan of quads but they're the perfect size, good effort that man
