  1. My roof is also wrapped in black. It creates a seamless line of dark over the car taking into account the front and rear screens, giving a smoother overall aesthetic. It would look wonderful on yours. Some also get theirs wrapped in carbon to make it look like the fancy roofs you get on certain M-cars.

Maybe that's why I hate them all universally

True, but Susan Boyle will always be considered ugly IYSWIM

Actually, I love the RWB stuff. It works on older cars, not on new ones. New ones look chav, old ones look fresh.

And they look f***ing awful as well.
  6. Nope, had no idea at all. Never heard of Donovan Ruddock at all tbh.
  7. Sorry to hear about this mate, just glad your other half is okay Good point the tyres, it's exactly situations like this that enforce the point about getting the best, not just whatever fits and is ok. Like you say, could well have made the difference between a relatively happy ending and a dreadful one here.
  8. Agreed, they suit the 350 better than they do the 370 I reckon. I wouldn't go for a black bonnet as well though, I'd stick with original. I just think it would be a bit too much black, whereas the roof ties in with the glass and spoiler as it is right now
  9. In his day, you're probably not wrong
  10. Just enough to make it look smarter than standard without standing out like a sore thumb, excellent choices there sir
  11. Anyone else see Razor Ruddock in that list and wonder why an ex Spurs/Liverpool/West Ham player would dream of getting into the ring with a heavyweight champion?!
  12. They look more like gravel rally tyres looking at that tread! Interestingly Yoko describe them as a 'street sport tyre' rather than the 48s which are a 'semi slick tyre'. Looking at their website I'd suggest they're leaving the 48s for the smaller track-focused cars (Caterhams etc) and the 52s are for more general-use larger cars. Certainly with the grooved bands all the way round they look more like a regular tyre and far more usable in the wet than than the 48/888 style tyres which were always a bit squiffy. I wouldn't be surprised to see the 52s coming in 19" and 20" sizes too, to try and compete with the MPSC2.
  13. You need the PSE, makes it sound 10x better. Add the Sharkwerks midbox too and you'll get that proper flat six howl

Please don't touch your car: It's absolutely spot-on as it is. Genuinely love it. All these RB/SD kits are going to look really cheap and nasty (more so than now) in a couple of years. They're a fashion fad, like Veilside, and nobody wants those these days either.
  15. Bet it never does. Councils will have no interest in approving anything, as it'll cost them a fortune to do and the police have better things to do. Without the yes from those two camps, it's nothing more than a publicity stunt IMHO.
  16. 48s on an SLK? Fair play sir! Which SLK was it?
  17. Run them then if you want, I really don't care. I still won't be recommending them to anyone based on that.
  18. I looked at the overall performance on all four links. I read the descriptions rather than just looked at the numbers, compared their experiences and baselines to my own of the tyres I've tried, and figured out that I really wouldn't put them on a 350 or anything with proper oomph. Given the SC6 aren't exactly awesome, then I'm not entirely happy that I'd want to put anything lesser on. EF1s are superb in the dry, but I find them nervous in the wet.
  19. Because of looking at how it compares to things like the SC6 and EF1.
  20. Yeah, I wouldn't be putting those on a 350. MX5 or 1.6 Focus or something sure, but nothing with some proper grunt/weight.
  21. Are these the ones we spoke about the other day Steve?
  22. If you plan on doing a lot of track work, you'll want the SC. The extra power is very much welcomed on the straights where the R gets a little breathless. As a weekend fun toy, I much prefer the R. You have to work the gearbox and engine more, but that adds to the pleasure rather than detracting from it. With the SC on the road, you either end up using one gear and the higher torque to propel you or you go so quickly that losing your licence is a real possibility. I'd rather get an R and spend the extra on some Exige seats or Nitrons than get an SC, personally.
  23. I'd happily pay double what the Avons cost for the Michelins. Ignoring the performance benefits, you'll get more miles out of them too so they actually work out better value too.
  24. Next time, go somewhere else This is why it's more important to go somewhere who can give you what you want, rather than who is closest/cheapest. Alignment should be done yearly at the minimum, more often if you drive on really bad roads or like to nudge kerbs.
  25. Why? You've not really driven it to know if the current setup suits you, or how you want the tyres to wear. Could be perfect as it is Why did they not give you what you asked for though?
