But your vote does count, it counts exactly the same as mine as I too voted Remain. Why should it count any more? And how do you explain the West Lothian question that still hasn't been sorted, but stacks in the Scottish parliament's favour? Holyrood still hasn't used some of the devolved powers it asked for, so why is it desperate for more? This is what I can't understand. We hear a lot that Scotland is treated poorly, but I just don't see it at all. Nissan won't get any special access to the common market, they'll have to abide by the final deal the UK gets. Btw this is a great debate, really enjoying this and thank you for taking the time to respond with honest answers

If you want something that entertains, you buy a BRZ86. If you want something that has oodles of grip and a much more powerful platform, you buy something else. In all honesty part of the reason it hasn't sold is because of the perceived lack of power, no doubt about that.
-
200bhp/ton is perfect for the roads, but I can be just as happy with much less as long as the weight is lower. A 350Z has just 24bhp/ton more than a stock GT86, which let's be honest really isn't a massive amount: It's almost identical to teh figure between a DE and an HR, for example.
-
Serious. I can pedal one of those as quickly as I can anything else on the road, it's just too expensive as an overall thing. If anyone says they need more power than that, they cannot drive for toffee. Lovely chassis, great driving position, just let down on price and slightly naff interior for me.
-
See, it doesn't need any more power, it's ace as it is.
-
See, that was the only time I've voted Labour. New Labour under Blair in the early years was exactly what the country needed IMHO. The war thing I can take or leave as I have no particular feelings over it either way, it was just a shame they were so massively underprepped for the financial crisis. That said, would any government have done any better? I don't know.
-
Sorry, I was looking at the wrong numbers, it is 7000 for the BRZ86 not 6000, my bad. As long as it's making profit then that's fine. I think we all expected it to do better than it has done though, but the price over here is what's held it back I think. That said, it's been good for residuals so swings and roundabouts.

I hope it's not just 10 years and that it's for the long term, but sadly the nutters always get back in power eventually...
-
I don't get that. Mustang sold 3500 in 6 mths BRZ86 sold 6000 in 6 years Does that not equal the Mustang selling 7k per year and the BRZ86 1k per year? Or am I looking at totally the wrong figures here?!

Independence just because of a Tory government that won't be here in ten years is a seriously dodgy reason to risk everything.
-
No-one knows how long it will take: Could be a year, could be ten years. The problem is that NS hasn't even bothered to find out exactly how long, or what the process would be: She's leading people into a blind trap, in the same way the Leave campaign did for Brexit. Scotland could end up with the worst of all worlds, and that would be a real shame.
-
But do you not feel that you don't even have half the answers from the independence side of the argument yet? Regarding things like currency, finances, trading etc. In what way do you not feel valued members of the UK? Any more so than Essex or Dorset, for example. Genuinely curious on this one, not picking a fight
-
I'm amazed the 370 sold that many at all.
-
True, but then they can simply have their referendum after Brexit is done and dusted like May has said. NS is trying to push her agenda based on something that doesn't cannot exist, which is Scotland never leaving the EU at all. Again, I have no issue with the Scots having another crack at independence, but I don't like any part of the UK being lied to in an important referendum. That equally applies to the £350M NHS lie, as well as George's emergency budget to tax everyone lie for Brexit.
-
The trouble with the whole leaving the EU argument is that it falls apart on the basis that if Scotland leaves the UK, it also leaves the EU anyway. Given that, what's the point leaving the UK? One way or another, Scotland is leaving the EU.

I suspect the Supra will be even more than that tbh. The BMW version will slot in between i8 and Z5, so between £60k and £100K which for argument sake gives you £70K. The Toyota will of course be less, so a nice round £10K discount should put some distance and tempt buyers. That'd be my best guess at this point, it'd be nice if it was less than that but I have my doubts.
-
And an even less interesting engine. No chance I'd be paying £150K for a Honda anything when the 570GT or R8 are the same price. Significantly more desirable cars, albeit not hybrid (which isn't entirely a bad thing). Now if Honda were to bring out a road version of the GT3-spec car, that would be right up my street.

But airflow can still pass through an oil cooler and an intercooler to get to the rad. It can't pass through a solid number plate. Ironically you'd have been better off mounting it in front of the intake, which isn't requiring air flow to do the job properly. It'll happily suck up whatever air is there, where as the PS rad cannot suck anything. But then we all know you're not going to move it now, despite common sense and reasoning, simply because you always know best

Won't happen. The market simply isn't there for a Zed-type car any more, at least not one that most on here would want/expect from a Zed. If it comes, it'll be a £40K car. That's the same price as a TTS, or a 718 Cayman, or a BMW 240 with a handful of options. Not a chance in hell a new Zed would be a better drive overall than any of those (although it'll have a more interesting engine than the 718 I suspect), and you just know that the interior will once again be lacking in comparison. I'm not saying that some people on here wouldn't still pick a new Zed over those cars, but the vast majority of the public would not do the same which is why we're not seeing a bunch of 370 Nismos on the roads. The business case HAS to come first, and either they bust the bank trying to tempt customers away and hope to make the money on servicing (unlikely) or they do something completely different and you end up with a BRZ86 competitor with a blown four-pot and a CVT.
-
How do you reckon that?
-
That's not the question though, and neither will it ever be so we'll never know the answer. The real question is whether the Scottish people are willing to take a massive leap into the unknown, with so much resting on such little information and such empty promises, led by such a weak party that refuses to answer the basic questions?

Tbh, a decent alignment guy should be able to figure out what you want just by telling him that you want minimum tyre wear but would like it better in the corners. Define better though: Sharper turn in, or more grip mid-corner? And you can't have both, as one trades off against the other! Just describe the handling traits you're after, and assuming you've gone somewhere decent then let them do the rest. However, minimum tyre wear and extra cornering are mutually exclusive too, so decide in percentages where your priorities lie. Avoid giving numbers unless you're sure of what you're doing. But 2 deg at the rear is far too much for AD08s, that's more suited to MPSC2s. If anyone does give you exact numbers then just remember that that works for them, and it may not work for you. I tend to avoid giving exact settings now for this very reason.

Steering wheel is a bit much, but the rest of the inside is lovely!

Love that. Great colour, stripes look good, interior looks nicer with those retro seats. But no, I still wouldn't buy one. Are they really eight years old now?!

Ceramic coating won't protect it perfectly, but then neither will PPF: It'll still chip, it'll still mark, it'll still be as noticeable. It may not chip as easily as regular paint, but between PPF and ceramic coating I don't think there'll be a lot in it (I've accidentally got coatings over my clothes when applying them, and the patch dries to go rock hard!). It's also how different the panels will look in daylight, with PPF on some but not others. Each to their own fella, but honestly I don't think you'll be as happy with the results after 6 months as I think you want to be. I'd rather you saved your money instead. Def budget to get the detailing done before the PPF, as I can promise you now that the car will be swirly swirly upon collection, better to have it arranged beforehand than to be surprised on the day. Don't forget you can get the guy to do all this at the Nissan dealer before collection, so even if you delay collection for a couple of days it'll be fine.
