Carried on for a bit, probably through shock, but did then pull up a few hundred metres up the road. Nah, I think you will. If you have the presence of forethought to think about it now, you'll more than likely do so on the day. This is how I deal with accidents, and it's a pre-planned thing I've drummed into myself to make sure I do it by instinct. - Move to a safe place if necessary. - If not, then engine off straight away. - Make sure myself and my passenger/s are physically fine. - Make sure the other driver and their passenger/s are physically fine. People always take priority over cars. - Judge mental state of the other person. If they're being aggressive, police straight away. - If okay, grab phone and take as many pics of everything. My car, his car, location, traffic density, weather, CCTV. Anything and everything. - Only then do I start exchanging details. Ask to see driving licence and take a photo if possible (most people will let you do this, as it's unusual and they can't see anything wrong with it. However, don't let them take a photo of yours, just say you don't have it on you!). Name, address, car details, time, date, signature. - Go home and have a beer. Each to their own, people will probably disagree with the order or various details in that, but I work on the basis that I want to make sure everyone goes home alive first.

Precisely why I filmed the guy in the lorry who drove into my BMW at the services last year, when he admitted to pulling out to his left yet was indicating to the right. I would always film everything these days after an accident, even if all I do is have my phone by my side so it's capturing sound if nothing else.

Oh I dunno, I think he's rather handsome... Interesting viewpoints. Here's my take on it: - The Morgan driver is a total moron. Nowhere near enough power to make that stick (GTR would probably have been fine), how on earth he thought he could make that I've no idea. It's a 50mph limit btw, and the angle makes it hard to judge the Pug's speed, but I tend to agree it was likely doing 60mph. - I think the Pug driver did exactly what was expected of him. Morgan committed to the move at 9secs on the video, the collision happened at 11secs. 2 secs is absolutely no time at all, I'd be amazed if he wasn't braking at the same time he was on the horn (which was actually the right move IMHO, gave the Morgan warning that something was going to happen as he'd clearly not paid enough attention to the Pug) and so had little time to do anything else. - Basing on averages and stereotypes, I reckon that it's safe to assume that a ten year old (at least) 206 is probably not owned by an enthusiast, so likely the brakes are cheap replacements from Quikfit and the tyres likely the cheapest they had in stock, and probably not brand new or matched either. As such, it probably was braking at the max it could, even though it doesn't look like it's standing on it's nose. Likely the driver was of average skill too, as a more competent driver would've seen the possibility that the Morgan might have decided to go, and would have reduced speed and been covering the brake much earlier. On the latter front, this is now where I point out that this is exactly the kind of unexpected situation that makes it so important to buy the best you can when it comes to brakes and tyres. I'm not saying that the Pug could've stopped had he been on MPSC2 and 6 pot Brembos, but his chances would've been much better. That said, he did the right thing by simply driving into the Morgan: If he'd avoided him, you can bet the Morgan would've driven off happily and the Pug driver would now be nursing a 100% fault claim on his own insurance. If you're gonna go, and it's not your fault, make sure you take the other bugger with you!

No, not this... But this instead: This is currently doing the rounds on PH, be interesting to see what other people think before I pass my judgement and view (which I know is annoying, and I berate others for doing it. Do as I say, not as I do etc).

And of course no-one will actually remember that they're voting for who is going to be running the country and all the other non-important stuff like NHS, education, taxes etc. The media (and the parties themselves!) will focus so hard on Brexit, everything else will just get the odd line here or there. That's the real shame. Also, we've got county council elections on May 8th: Why couldn't she have called this earlier and had them on the same day, to save costs?

Didn't even bother counting UKIP as a serious contender in the poll I stuck up, I kinda figured they're dead as a dead thing now.

Here's a question: What if a Labour-coalition get in, and then decide that we don't want to Brexit after all? Can we even stop A50 now? What if the EU say nope, sorry but you've triggered it now, you're leaving one way or another? Also, anyone catch May's speech? Interesting to note how she slagged off Corbyn and Labour, then Farron and the LD, but simply mentioned Sturgeon and the SNP by name only with no disparaging comments? It's as if she didn't want to upset a key group of voters...!

Okay then precious.

Theresa gone done us a surprise, ain't she? Election on June 8, assuming the other parties vote for it tomorrow. It's irritating, tbh. It's just going to cost us millions to hold the election, and we're two years away from a Brexit deal vote anyway. We either end up with a much bigger Tory majority which doesn't really change a lot, or we get a coalition of competing arguments led by someone who can't even command a lead within his own shadow cabinet.

We have several now though

Going to need lairy stickers or paint job now.

Did they have many swirls/holograms to remove before they put the film on? Did they machine the rest of the car as well? I really do like the look of those, y'know.
-
Lexus RX? I mean they're ugly as sin, but just throwing another alternative out there.
-
Bit odd to get excessive cracking on that age mind you, but not completely impossible especially when you consider the low mileage, meaning it's been standing around doing nothing for ages. One of those things, probably never know but it wouldn't stop me buying the same tyre again
-
How old are the tyres? I know it's a 14 plate but the tyres could be much older, check for the 4 digit code like 2514 (week 25, 2014). If you like the S001s, stick with them I say.

Yup, huge splitter that extends back underneath as far as possible.
-
I do like the X4, mind you. Much more resolved than the X6.
-
Bobbins, it'll be available via the Exclusive range. Everything is, that's the point of Exclusive!
-
You can have that, it's just not on the configurator. Speak to an OPC direct, they'll be able to sort that for you.

Really? I think the Edge is quite striking, and I'd love the extra £10K in my pocket Q5 it is then. Trouble is, with everything else on your list you're going to be hitting the options list pretty hard unless you're careful.
-
Macan S the best car there, VW the more sensible choice, but tbh right now I'd save the money and go buy a Ford Edge instead. Get it in Vignale spec if you really must have the fancy leather stuff inside

TYRES And please don't anyone ever buy a tyre based on what sodding letter it has on the side of it, that's just ridiculous

Any time bud Mainly going from my own memories of going there, when I left my locking wheel nut key at home so couldn't fit the R888s on my spare set of wheels I'd had taken out there, so had to track on the MPSS. Turned out to be the better option, mainly because my speed was tempered because of this so I wasn't able to push as hard as I might've done otherwise along with the increased risks that extra speed brings.

Adding rear aero, assuming it's even remotely functional, is going to add understeer to the front on the faster corners. That's going to make the car feel very sketchy, especially at the Ring when you think it's a speed circuit (as opposed to somewhere with lots of slow corners). Unless you know exactly what you're doing as well as knowing the Ring very well (50 laps or so), or have had the chance to have a play on a track beforehand, I think you're simply going to make the car worse for you. Much better to have a car you know very well at a place as dangerous as the Ring, instead of a car you're experimenting with and have no faith in. You'll be really irritated if you end up crawling round the track because the car doesn't feel right, rather than just being able to enjoy it and concentrate. A car that feels weird is going to increase your likelihood of binning it, rather than reduce it. By all means book a trackday up beforehand and go play with a BGW, but please don't do it there for the first time.

He had me at fudge.
