  1. Been sideways there too! Tescos one yeh? I did mean to though but it was far easier than expected! Think its more down to the road and the amount of lorries that go round there dropping diesel residue on the road, always see the purple, blue, red sheen round there.. Also the tarmac is crap! Also, careful with tyre shine and getting too much shampoo on the tyres this time of year.. it dosnt help too keep the car straight!
  2. Personally I find that rubbing a gloved (or ungloved) finger along the bottom of the window a few times where it meets the door is enough to get it too drop. Also found that it does "stick" at the top of the window close to the b-piller where you can get some condensatio due to water collecting when driving. Again just rub with your finger as the scraper wont cause friction and conduct heat!
  3. Comparison for you. viewtopic.php?f=62&t=26655
  4. Nice wheels, look smart. One question though, are the gaps by the lights an optical illusion or is there quite a large gap? Blended rear spats look good too

    New numberplate

Got caught with my black and silver ones a few weeks back and said that I was on the way back from a show and had forgotten to put them back to normal. Told him I had the proper ones in the boot and he told me to get them changed over ASAP.. He did give me the lowdown on plates being plain, having the makers mark and reg number and if you want, either the EU flag or the Union Jack.. Nothing else!
  6. Is the rest of that belt not in the undertray. As gunmetalzgt said, looks like its seperated and agree it looks like its on the wrong way round. Have a look for the gates ones, think andlid just bought some the other day and the part numbers are on the pic he posted.
  7. As you named me in this as well as BM I thought I would join in, if you hadnt have done I wouldnt have bithered my ar$e!.. And as you dont seem to have added anyone else that made posts or laughed at you, maybe your just trying to win favor with certain people Rich To be honest I have given up on the banter as its got boring now. I am having trouble trying to differentiate between posts where people need help and ones where its just drivel.. But seen as you also think I have my head up my ar$e guess that in your opinion my advice isnt up to much! As to your point about being picked on, Maybe Martin's advice on thinking twice before posting may help! Not every post needs to be answered in about 5 seconds esp if you dont know the answer! If you do feel that way, maybe its worth thinking about?
  8. 3.5k minimum, think your about 1k short without labour... One point is, where are you gonna use it? Unless you track it 300bhp is enough for most things!! Most good S/C's come with an ECU.. HKS s/c will see about 360 out of the box, more and your looking for other parts and lots down to how much the tuner can get out of it! TBH, for 1 to 1.5k including some used and carefully chosen parts and an uprev you should be good for about 300bhp.. that with perhaps a final drive swap and some underdrive pullies / lighter fly you will see it go quicker off the line, andd some free weight reduction... Cams etc are a bit of pain to fit so you are looking at an expensive cost to bhp ratio, but you have to remember... they all add up to additional power in the end
  9. If you look in Marks thread you will find a comparison between a stock and a tuned zed with no mods. There were gains in the right places, better throttle control and I belive better economy. Dynos are close but it depends on operators and what gear the car is in as well as variables like if the dyno has been calibrated well. Stock zeds on the dyno tend to come in close to the given BHP, some have come in low but that can also be down to compression, sparks etc etc. Main thing is to find some one you trust (as well as others) get a dyno reading and continue on that same dyno for the rest of the work. I think you could be right on the cost effective route.. If I started again, the first thing on the car would be a charger or some mild but upgradeable TT... But I have roughly a 40bhp (and shed loads more torque) increase over when I had the car 1st dynoed (think it was about 228 at the wheel and is now 271 at the hub) and the car performs soo much better so am happy with what I got... For now!!
  10. Thank god for that.. stop you whining like a little girl about do I, dont I Good luck with the sale mate, someone will have a great base to continue your great work on and maybe continue with the plans you had Some great, rare, well chosen genuine parts on there mate Looking forward to seeing what your going to do a 34 when you get your hands on one
  11. If you have a look in abbeys section there are some dyno charts with that info. Abbey are also looking at a "tuning" kit and I belive that they have some parts available. Mark will be able to confirm though!
  12. Yeah but no one listens to what you say so that doesnt really count for much I'm not the one in a chav chariot Oh it pains me to say this but LOL!!!
  13. Ah, but thats where the britishness of it all comes in!! We dont always say what we dont like
  14. Coul this be that this is down to the cost of car ownership? As we all know, RX's do need a bit of money spent, TT's leak and have issues and Z4's contain hairdryers? Or is it just that they are regarded as a great car? I think the point is as Martin Mac just mentioned in his post is that there are so few of us that go on either of the 2 uk sites (or both) and that people looking for mods come on here looking for ideas and info, some join in, some dont... I know of loads of Zeds that are modified that dont come near the forums.. In response to Number86's comment, I would say there are a few addons (more so now!) that make the car a target for chavifying and are noticable, but there are also lots that have been well modded (IMO of course!) There are many owners of other marques that see the zed as a chav car full stop... and if you mod it your more of a chav...
  15. i did laugh out loud at that. as for freedom of speech yes its allowed on here, thats why i think and can say i think your username is weird, you big gay bear Coming from the man thats so far back in the closet hes in Narnia, I would take that as a compliment Number86! is this coming from the man so far up his own arse he can undertake his own colon exam. 17. Too much for an import I would say. By about 1 to 1.5k Leaks? No Rust? Shouldnt really! But you need to make sure imports have been undersealed. Condensation probably as he may think the aircon is for cold air! It should be on as often as possible to clear any moisture from inside the car.
  18. BW5 is also san marino blue in the states and Azul Zarco in spain! Why dont they just call it one name across the globe!
  19. Hmm thought all blues from Nissan started TV.. Found this on the web: TV3 is the color for the dark blue on the new 350Z TV2 is bayside blue metallic from the R34 I dont doubt stan, as he has one but just goes to show you cant trust everything you read!
  20. Dynamat, Genuine nissan boot mat, tonnau and Falkens and I have hardly any road noise at all. I also did some dynamatting behind the driver seat and concentrated on the arches. If you dont have a sub then you will get some noise coming through in there, just fill with loft insulation! Have to open the window to get the full exhaust experience in the car
  21. Whats your budget and would you consider an orange 54?
