Where to get the Zed checked for fuelling, O2 etc
3FIDDYZ replied to andyvvc's topic in 350Z General
I had this on mine, same thing and it was in limp mode but with no lights. All sorted now though and full of beans! The only reason that I suggested Abbey is that they have a dyno and they know the Zed and they have a workshop so its a one stop shop. I know CS has access to a workshop but no dyno, and RS have a dyno but am unsure if they have a service workshop! -

You got any check lights? It has been known for the cars to go into limp mode... Think RS tuning are your way and could help, but if you fancy a rip down south Abbey can help, If they know about the zed then they should be able to confirm. -
Any idea on what the hub numbers were?

Love that wheel! Speak to Envy or Adam @ z1 as you will need all the bits like boss / QR / airbag delete etc.... Not many after market ones that look like that unfortunatly. I think I know the momo one you mean though and I think one or 2 people on here have them... Am still wondering if the one in the pic will fit in a zed!!

Did you not get the map changer for the utec then Bennett? Got a cool security feature on it... No Chart = Fail... Just get it up... will be good to see the process as that sounds like a good result... What was the cost of mapping the UTEC? You got a revup havnt you?

Genuine Veilside kits are available from Adam @ Z1 or Envy as they are back in production. (Thats 2 tonight Rich )

IMO most bods around here are looking for 19's as an upgrade. You would only really sell 18's too someone that wants to run them as a track car. As new with about £700 worth of rubber you got to be looking at £1000 to £1200 I would think (and they have a rarity value!! esp to the Silva boys!) Stick them on ebay? Make sure you put 350z, 370z and Silvia in the heading..
-
$766.83 new each! without tyres!! 18s are not rays, 19's are. There about 18lbs up front and 19lbs at the rear but that needs confirming! As they are 18's there are lots of the Silvia guys that are loking for these and stock 350z wheels have been known to go for more to them!
-
Think your looking for this So just put this together for you.. If you search for 350z fast and furious on google you will find a few more

Some do, some dont http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/indexe.html Click on gramlights and then size/price for the retail prices....

From what I remember Tere posting (very knowledgable member from the States for those of you that dont know her), she said that the shift should be spot on (as is with the B+M if set up right). So while I agree "some" cars might not like it, the Zed can be set up properly if using quality kit. Thats why I said either its not fitted right or its not quality kit, I didnt state which Ahh cool. You see that the type of answer I would expect from a forum with knowledgable members. Instead of is it expensive? No well then its crap. Also sorry Chris didnt mean to say you was one of those people as you didnt say anything of the sort. Soooo when has anyone ever said its good cause its expensive? Look at your avatar end of Think your gonna have to come up with a better argument than that mate... Does "I pity the fool that rocks fakes" say good cause its expensive? Far from it... Thats simply my opinion regarding people buying parts that have no quality control, no R+D and no real customer control!! They dont even attempt to make things better in any way.. They just copy someone elses hard work. I suppose that you could call it stealing! Feel free to take a little more time as it dosnt look as though you spent much time on that one

Wonder where you got that idea from my350z !!!!!! And then you explained it too me after you had done it !!
-
I got a 5zigen for sale so you can be true twins!!
-
Eek, bad luck mate, unfortunatly been there and done that, horrible noise! Sounds like you ripped the whole thing off.. Have you checked in the wheel arches (at about where 10 o'clock would be on the wheel) as my had spider cracks there where the bumper flexed. Deffo repairable

Also sorry Chris didnt mean to say you was one of those people as you didnt say anything of the sort. Soooo when has anyone ever said its good cause its expensive? I dont think thats ever been the case!! Perhaps thats your perception.... With this part for example, when the tried, tested and developed ones cost £150 and then you get one that can cost $15 it only takes a modicum of inteligence to realise why one would cost more and its nothing to do with the brand name! These are hi spec, accute tollerence, moving parts of a car that are being used on a daily basis that connect to a bloody expensive bit of kit.. How about asking someone like Adam at Z1 if he would sell you a chispeed part... I think the answer would be no as he has a reputation for selling quality, not just buying a large quantity cheep and then rebranding it! I think you will also find that there is alot of knowledgable members that have tried this stuff in the past or have knowledge from experience, rather than just reading things and quoting other members, that havnt posted in this thread or infact this forum... Its not my car its being fitted on so I dont really care!

It's standard mate, I have a 04 UK spec GT so It should be 276bhp lol. I have a K&N Panel filter (fitted when I bought it) and I've just fitted some Denso Iridium plugs. I dont think either of these will make any difference tbh. Alexz Well your never gonna know till you stick it on a dyno They do come up different! As I say from experience, you wont get anything near potential till you have the car tuned... But I do know that the plenum did something for mine as a stock car.. (Oh on the tuning, if your worried about spending on it... get it mapped and it should pay for its self in a few months due to savings on fuel!! my hp is the highest its been and am currently about 8mpg better off! ) Most dyno places do open days where they will do 3 runs for about £35 to £45

So, what power has your car got at the moment then?
-
Evening mate, theres a clear increase there, not sure how that torque works though doesnt that read 1139ftlb lol Looking at your sig I guess its the Kintex one? Alexz Sorry mate, am playing with you, it does have a motordyne one, but there is a few other mods and a tune on it too. Its about 250 torque (both figs are at the hub) Its also the increase from Hiflow cats to Decats. This may help more Both tuned, but one its stock v moddified

16mm bolt into the tow hook, tap the end for a 6 or 8mm short bolt, get a short plate (about 8x3 inch), drill 3 holes, one in the middle 2 near the ends. Put bolt through plate into 16mm bolt, but 2 bolts through number plate into the other plate
-
US version of BHP, they use a differnet formula to give better numbers
-
Dyno of mine with a plenum fitted..
-
Evening mate, I might have miss understood that r/r graph but it looks like you have lost power with the above mods...Shouldnt it have at least 287bhp & 274ftlb of torque? The most I can see on yours is 282.3bhp and 242 torque...? Have I missed something man? Alexz 287? where did you get that number from?
-
Hundreds of owners have them, most are happy, some havnt seen major gains but there isnt massive gains to be had if you dont tune the car!!! come into their own when the car is remapped or piggybacked
