  2. Ah right! My girlfriend just retrimed my boot hatch, strut and surrounding area in a type of alcantara and its quite hard wearing.. Just need to get some more material.. did some interior bits too and just wondering what else too do! You gone for something that wont fade this time? Yep its called having a garage now so its not sat in the sun all the time! And gonna get the rear screen tinted at somepoint...

  4. What did you use for the footwells mate? Looks like a type of alcantera... Think these look quite smart.. http://my350z.com/forum/interior/453016 ... anels.html
  5. Seems your Zed just decided its a honda civic! Think dcash had the same problem at one point in time (or he was sleeping whilst he was driving!!)
  6. Yeh, I tried that but there not linked to the VIN for some reason!! I tried that one but they didnt have the set of nuts to try to find the right one... Just thinking about it I seem to remember that there is a code that came with my last set of locking nuts... perhaps that could be in somewhere sensible like your logbook. If there is 6, how about taking a picture or making a pencil impression of the nut and then post it up and we can all check our nuts to see of they match!!
  7. Yep... and its also how people get nice free wheels... Its almost worth getting 2 different size locking nuts on your wheels..

    370 Lights mod

They were also supposed to be in the original 350z... Like it was supposed to have LED's on the door handles and LED side markers... Should have been in the 370z as mike said but prob stopped in production by the bean counters!
  9. cant cut them off, or not easy. Other way is to knock a socket onto the wheel that is just to small to fit over... this needs to be really hammered on and you may be lucky when you come to try and undo.. Are they the stock McGuards? Also, remove the polystyrene in the boot as it may be rolling around in there! Mine was...
  10. I find a good few coats of DD SN matches the longevity of AG EGP. Havent tried Colleinite, but beleive it to be the hardest wearing stuff known to deatilers If you want maximum longevity, go with Collenite Not used DD SN for long enough to say but I'd find it hard to see how it can last as long as AG EGP - that stuff lasts forever even with plenty of washes! That said, I'd say the longest lasting of the lot of those is the jetSEAL. The Zed still comes up a treat with it and is lauded by many on DW. Maybe its just because AG EGP doesnt bead as nicely as DD I assumed it had worn off. Beading is usually the only way you can tell wax is still on there and working, so I guess i assumed the EGP was dead, but maybe it was not Try the red mist... never seen anything bead like it...
  11. Used to use Autoglym HD wax, but now moved to Dodo Juice White lightning (better for lighter cars) and then use dodo juice redmist as its gives great beading and protection as its is a sealent as well as a quick detailer... You cant put the redmist on till about 24 hours after waxing as the wax needs to set! Speak to Andy from Kudos (Andy on here) for prices
  12. Yes (But was it a stock zorst? All the way through?) Yes (But good different? I felt the 07 box wasnt as raw as the 04.. Felt that they had done more to make it better for everyone in the 07...) Different but as above... Down to it having more appeal... But I have an 04 with a stock clutch and I dont see it as high...
  13. Can also be a false economy of buy cheap, buy twice too... At the end of the day as with anything... Caveat emptor!
  14. I take it you drove the LPG version then?!?!? I understand the Rex is pretty thirsty...
  15. Its not twitchy at all and it can be made even less twitchy if you want! Touch wood, very few issues, generally problems come when you mess with them! The few little glitches like door window motor, clicky drive shafts and a few other bits are livable with! Zed appears to beat the Rex for handelling but it can be down to the driver! Rex you have the rev the ar$e off to get anythign out of it.. never had a time when I have seen a lack of torque... After all, its not easy to do high speeds in the UK unless your on the track, and at times when you need to go quick off the line you have to slow down pretty quickly afterwards!
  16. http://www.very.co.uk/rf/vry//navigatio ... dbags&Np=1 A nismo for a £55 handbag... Am calling your wives, am sure they could broker a much better deal!!

    Wheel decals

Kawasaki green should be fine. It'll cost next to nothing too! You can always do it to try it out and see if you like it. You can buy preformed rim tape too... It's really easy to apply. Or you can just use electricians tape to give you an idea!!! When I was looking for red I found the places did have ltd colour options... fluro yellow seemed to be all they had!! Online was better!
