If you want to know about haltech, speak to TDI as they are a reseller and mapper. If you want to talk about utec speak to thor racing. Also Mark at Abbey Motorsport used to do haltech but dosnt now... perhaps a call to him for a chat will tell you more about why and what other routed are available... M

  8. difficult unfortunatly mate but it is possible. You will find that one of the points can be swapped on the loom plug to be able to get it too work... Its a case of chasing the wires and looking at a UK car where they are on the loom.. once you know which one it is you can change the pins.. You may have to switch another few pins around... I know I had to do something with my US lights, but it may just be the auto leveler that you need to swap.. If you do go for them I may still have some pics and info where the UK pin out is... M
  9. I dont know how many times I can say this... prices have gone up approx 20% over the past 6 months! This info is straight from the dealers... So if a car was on for 12k in March it would have gone up to about 13 to 14k... Good for us owners! And its also a result of the scrapage scheme!
  10. Some items are now sold, and some have people waiting for pics, just going to go through the load of PM's and respond to the new ones!

  12. also have a UTEC map switcher for use with the UTEC unit. "Direct plug in remote switch for your UTEC allows maps changes on the fly. Drive to the race track on your street program, fill your tank with race fuel, select your race map and your done! Parking in a scary neighborhood? Select our safety map which renders the car inoperable. Valet asks if this car does burnouts? Select the valet mode to keep them in check. Currently your UTEC can store 5 programs plus a valet and security mode. " £50 (or a deal if bought with the UTEC!)

  17. Depends on what your going withm some come with EMS some dont and some come with EMS that needs upgrading! Info here Turbo XS UTEC This is going to be the engine managemen to turn Z tuning around forever! Plug and play engine management that retains the factory ecu for things like cold start, idle up with air conditioning, cruise control, VDC, and traction control. However, this unit will allow full user control over the fuel and timing curves. In basic form it allows control over Fuel and Ignition Timing. Each control gives you 250 rpm resolution from 500 rpm to revlimit with over 10 different load sitesPlus, it is fully compliant with the OBD2 diagnostic software, so inspections are no problem. Ignition Timing Control The 350Z UTEC has its own injector and coil drivers. Unlike a pure piggyback, the 350Z UTEC actually drives the car. When you decide that you want to run 10 degrees of timing advance at 4000rpm, the UTEC fires the coils at 10 degrees BTDC. This level of timing control is impossible with a pure piggyback. Most piggybacks "control" ignition timing by modifying the crankshaft and camshaft position sensor signals before they enter the ECU. You don't actually program a timing value but a timing offset value (positive or negative) that is than applied to the timing that the ECU wants to run. That works fine in a car with a static, unchanging timing map. Unfortunately, today's cars have highly variable ignition timing maps. So you are applying a static offset value to a changing timing map. The result is, you never actually know what timing you will run. The UTEC eliminates the guess work and gives you the control you need without making you jump though hoops. Convenience The UTEC has the ability to hold 5 different user definable map groups. Each map group can contain a different fuel, ignition timing, and boost map. All of these selections are available at the flick of a switch. One of the key benefits to this system is the ability to run different mapping strategies for different gas conditions. Typically, you'll setup your primary "daily driving" map in position 1. You can then use maps 2-5 for various levels of boost or for optimizing the motor to run on race fuel. The UTEC allows you the flexibility to take advantage of every situation. Usability The UTEC software is incredibly easy to use. It is engineered for compatibility with almost every laptop or PDA you can find. All you need is a spare communications port and windows 3.1 or higher. Once connected to the UTEC, the text menus are simple to understand and easy to navigate. All key strokes and their features are clearly explained on every UTEC screen. Editing the maps on the UTEC is as simple a reading the directions at the bottom of your screen. This ECU will not take you months of study just to learn to move around in the software. It lets you get down to the business of tuning your car quickly and efficiently. In fact, after a just a few uses making changes will becomes second nature. Datalogging Modifying your engine's performance requires the proper information. The UTEC provides that information in spades. You don't need a second laptop or an OBD2 logger system to know what's going on with your motor. The UTEC provides all the key parameters in its own simple to use logging interface With the addition of our TXS Tuner, the UTEC will even give you your air fuel ratio in the above log using a true wideband air fuel sensor. Armed with this information, you can tune your car with complete confidence. Ease of Installation Installing the UTEC should take an average enthusiast less then 30 minutes of work using only common hand tools. It comes with a highly detailed instruction manual that will walk you though the process and have you back on the road as quickly as possible. It is important to note that while using the UTEC is easy, the power and control it gives you takes some skill to harness. The UTEC is a powerful tool. To get the most out of it, you must spend time learning the basics of engine management. Installing the UTEC and learning the interface is far easier then the process of actually learning to tune an engine. The 350Z UTEC is shipped with a base map. This base map is meant a starting place. You can plug it in and run this map and expect some decent gains over the stock ECU. However, there is quite a bit of horsepower left for a skilled tuner to extract. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to engine tuning. Our experience with cars from stock to 500whp has taught us that you will always benefit from tuning your car for your modifications. Don't let the ease of install fool you, this is a serious tool for serious users. Connectivity: By teaming the UTEC with Turbo XS's Tuner, you are also able to datalog with a wideband 02 sensor in real time, and have your UTEC tunes based off of a real wideband 02 - just like the pro tuners use! Upgradable software: as enhancements are made to the TurboXS UTEC software, updates will be posted on TurboXS's website for immediate download. And info from the TurboXS website listing the maps that are available right now for NA and the ones they have for Turbo in the future. http://www.turboxs.com/utec350zupdate.htm Of course you will still need a good tuner to get some more out of it
  18. No idea sub zero, they normally do N/A zeds and use the UTEC to get the most out of them. But the UTEC is also a great bit of kit if your thinking of going FI in the future....
  19. THOR are well respected engine tuners for the UTEC and have done many 350z's..... Infact one of our very own members is going there very soon
  20. You could check out the UTEC.... one for sale on here!
  21. Gains from the UTEC are part dependent and dependant on your tuner! I havnt fitted this to mine but you just need to look on my350z for information on gains, I think with that and the reflash they are the most used EMS systems in the states. There are a few people on here that run them and have run them in the past to great sucess. There are also a number of tuners in the UK but there are also downloadable maps esp for base mods (pop, spacer, zorst etc) I am still contemplating keeping it so be quick before I change my mind!! Harman, Ian, you have dibs on the bits requested
  22. Its not about the make mate! If its a real nismo or a shine replica nismo bumper then you should be fine but those are obviously going to cost more! As its down as v1 style you wont have any idea who the maker is or where its made.. But I do agree, £200 is a great price. Most bodyshops can make any bumpers fit that are specific to a certain model, it just depends how much you want to pay or if the body shop can be arsed to waste their time if the end result wont be up to your satisfaction! Best thing I think you could do is take it to your local body shop and get them to have a look. Most worth their salt wont give you a full price till they have seen it anyway.. Good luck with it anyway
  23. Allesandro!, Codlord is a good guy and to be honest his offer of " To be sure, if someone takes it and it does not fit to their satisfaction I will take it back for a full refund assuming it has not been painted yet." His post isnt here and it would be a good idea to ask the questions of him in his post ie does it come with a fitting kit! He has also said he will get you some pics, that will give you some idea of what holes need fitting... The only people that can tell you if it fits is a body shop or you take your front bumper off and test fit it then and there... its not hard!
  24. Few the others have suggested are high up on my ipod as are AlterBridge, made up of a band called Creed with a new lead singer. Funny enough Creed are on the playlist too!!
