  1. That contradicts you selling it to buy a house
  2. When it's YOUR dream, the price is irrelevant, if it makes you happy and you can afford it. It's when it's NOT your dream and you look at cold hard figures that probably creep over £1500 a month, its a little harder to digest. I'm considering a brand new purchase of a car that is more than you car was but as I work from home and have done hardly any mileage in my M3, and given that a new car will tank in value, everyone is telling me what other sensible stuff I could be doing with the money but I just WANT it!!! haha
  3. Did you put a deposit down?? If you did it was surely tiny given that £933 x 48 = £44,784 + £27k GFV = £71,784 plus any deposit
  4. Then your car would be put in the appropriate place................. I would imagine the whole carpark has those signs, not just that area where he parked, so there would be no appropriate place for long stays. I'm sure Halfords have somewhere to put customer cars without putting them in spaces where they are going to incur fines...........
  5. Then your car would be put in the appropriate place.................
  6. Yes that the spot. However, because Halfords had the keys and had accepted my vehicle, that the rules did not apply. If they did, then Halfords should have made that clear when they told me to leave the keys with them when they took responsibility for my car? Did you inform Halfords that you had left your car in a space that had a time limit of four hours or just give them the keys? If not, they can't be accountable for where you've parked your car......... Playing Devil's Advocate of course, but be carefully of bullish people on 'The Internet' giving out 'ignore it and it'll go away' advice.....
  7. I'm assuming that the big white sign in front of the very spot you parked in says that you can't stay for more than four hours??
  8. More money = more responsibility = more stress Do you want that? As Flex says, is there the possibility to Consult for these sorts of companies on a self employed/ contractor basis?? Same job but more ££££???
  9. Vegas is the only place in the world where you could go there for a week and barely leave your own hotel! When I got married there we stayed at the MGM which has about 20 restaurants!! You could go there every year and stay somewhere different and have a different experience totally!
  10. Awesome place, done it a few times, even got married there!!
  11. Porsche all day long. M6 is fast of course, but you'll soon get bored of just driving fast in straight lines and to most people it will just be a six series. I like BMW's and currently have an E46 M3, but when the choice is between a BMW and a similarly priced Porsche then it's surely a no brainer..... I spent £90k on a Lambo with no manufacturer warranty with everyone telling me the clutches were made of chocolate and would last 2k and cost me £5k to fix. Never had a problem with it at all and was probably one of the best things I've ever done and would do it again in a heartbeat if I could go back to being 28, single and childless! Life's too short!!
  12. Without doubt, from when I was in my 20's, single and no kids compared to now being married, two kids and been on a car lock down for five years!!

    Corvette C6

Interesting, informative, mature thread. Said no one thats read it...........
  14. 45k on clock. Bought with 20k on clock. You've added 15k. 20k + 15k = 35k??
  15. I've had two M3's and never had one problem and never spent a minute off the road, does that even out your stats??
  16. Please tell me you're not dismissing a car purely off the back of a reliability slidey chart from a website?!!?!?!
  17. Errr? Where did you get that from. Also nothing wrong with asking for advice, that's the first step to the right path surely. Why berate someone for trying to seek help. I got it from my book called "Obvious Things" Do you think eating a pasta bake late at night then toast before bed helps or hinders weight loss? You mean you got it from your book of 'things I made up'? Nope, again, it's obvious.
