  1. How is a 330ci 'far more practical' than an M3?
  2. Different drivers etc etc etc. The M3 is definitely quicker. But, it's a quick 3 series. It doesn't feel that it's been designed from the ground up as a dedicated performance car, like the zed. It's a 3 series with flared arches and a bonnet bulge. That doesn't mean it's not a great car, because it is, especially for the money you can pick them up for!
  3. Great cars, I've had two and currently have an SMG vert for sale whenever I get around to doing a listing, or might just keep it for the summer depending on how quickly the Mrs get fed up of the full drive! Doesn't sound as good as a Zed but it is quicker and I love the SMG box and would only buy one with it!
  4. I thought it was 4 bazillion at least How are you finding the PSE compared with the gts? It's weird. I drove most of the way back from Scotland with it off then turned it on when I came off the motorway on to the A & B roads and didn't notice a huge difference.... Under about 4k revs it's almost no different but certainly comes to life when pressing on and up to circa 6k revs plus......the problem is that once you are into that rev range, you into three figure mph's!! After ruling out many cars without, I am seriously glad that I didn't buy a car without it, and then shell out the £2,288 that Porsche wanted to retro fit one, I think I would have been a bit dissappointed if I'd spent that kind of money on it. Absolutely loving this car though, it's seriously got my addicted to it, it's exactly like when I had the Gallardo, just completely infatuated with it. Just wanna keep cleaning it and driving it!! What is weird though is that six months ago I would have said that I'd never buy a Porsche, the brand just didn't interest me, the 911 range just bored me but now I'm converted!! I'm even having thoughts of a Boxster GTS for the summer!!! Although I still have an E46 M3 Vert Cheers for all your help Dan!
  5. Honestly, I'm not sure I could have done it without you! Thanks for answering all 3 bzallion of my noob Porsche questions, it's much much appreciated.
  6. That first photo was at a service station about an hour outside of Edinburgh, I couldn't believe the snow!!! Back in Brum now! I've had the car 48 hours and I've either been cleaning it, driving it or sleeping!!
  7. I know I know I know! That was when I was ordering a brand new Cayman, as soon as decided on a Cayman R it had to be white, but I would have bought a Peridot Green one or a Guards Red one if a decent one had come up
  8. My honest answer is that I simply do not like 911's............they just look a little bit samey.........great cars of course, but just not for me!
  9. Yep thats the one, here are the ridiculous door 'handles' But the lovely carbon backed buckets seats Found some strange things wedged under the passenger seat today when cleaning it; Took a few other pics too
  10. Edinburgh, my first and last trip to Scotland!!
  11. 2012 Cayman R Absolutely love it already!! Flew up to Scotland on Thursday to pick it up and then blasted the 5 hours back to Birmingham in record time
  12. You will start the Mk1 owners off again saying things like that I'm not on here enough any more to know what you are referring to, but this car is really nice in comparison to the previous one!! A guy posted some pics of his new car, which he's rightly proud of. There was a debate about the two different versions of the Nismo and we were sensibly reminded by the Mods to keep on topic and not get into arguments about which version is 'better' because it's been done in other threads. As I said, I'm not on here a lot anymore so thanks for updating me on the current "politics". I clicked on the thread, liked the pics, scrolled to the bottom of the page and commented, don't have the time to read five pages of comments these days. This car looks pretty awesome, previous one wasn't, thats pretty much me up to date!

  14. Awesome car, miles better than the previous abortion!! Great seats too, proper sports seats!!
  15. Google "E46 Subframe Cracks/Problems/Issues"...............
  16. I know this all too well!! Me and the Mrs were planning the big white wedding. Found an amazing stately home with a chapel on site........invoices started racking up, venue costs alone were creeping over £25k even before flowers, dresses, wedding cars, honey moons, wedding cakes, etc etc etc. We were easily looking at circa £40k or so. Then I had a big falling out with my Mother. Caused a massive amount of stress, her saying she wasn't going on my Wifes hen doo, wouldn't sit next to certain people at the wedding, telling other family members that I'd slagged them off so they wouldn't come, then she wasn't coming, then she was coming but was going to cause a fuss with family members who'd had a go at her for what she was doing etc etc. You would not believe the stress. I'd booked a surprise trip to Vegas for five days, to see George Michael. A few days after revealing the surprise trip, the Mrs said "Shall we get married there!?!!?" So I thought, **** it!!, I'm not spending £40k on a single day for any single person to ruin it for me, even my mother. So we cancelled the whole thing, much to my Wife's parents dismay and went from a wedding of 220 guests to just two; me and my Wife. No friends, no family, just us getting married in the little white chapel in Vegas. After making the decision, three days before we left, we also found out that Laura was pregnant with our first child!!! Best thing I ever did!
  17. I didn't get it............mustn't have impressed the headhunters
