  1. I think that looks better than my JDM footwell lighting - it's more of an orange colour. Wonder if I can change the bulbs for a LED?

    Drinks holder

Thanks Sean. Good luck in sourcing a new holder.
  3. Where are you getting Toyos for that price?

    Drinks holder

I take it yours is the same as mine - the holder pops out when the cover is pushed and the mechanism turns the holder round? Mine broke soon after I got the car and it is permanently stuck in the dash. I don't miss it cos I never feel the need to drink and drive. However, when it first happened I thought I would remove the lower dash panel to see if I could fix it. It proved more difficult than I thought and I gave up. Has anybody tried successfully to remove this panel? If so, what's the secret?
  5. As far as I can work out, the DTE is in kms., the average speed is in kph and the fuel consumption is in kilometres per litre. You can convert that by multiplying the figure by 4.5 (litres to gallons) then dividing by 5/8 (kilometres to miles).
  6. My JDM came with 17" rims Jim, with Bridgestones on , and yes they were bloody awful, just the same feel to them as when I put 18" rims on with Bridgestones Mine still has the Dunlop Direzzas that were on the car when I got it, and they seem to have been much better than the 'stones. They are now getting close to needing replacement and I have been thinking about the Falkens. Just wanted to check that they would be equally suitable for the 17" rims.
  7. That has been discussed on here before, and I think Ming warned us off them.
  8. Probably Sarnie, or one of the mods.
  9. No lasting damage then?
  10. Does it matter what size of wheels you have on the car as to which tyres are most suitable? It seems that there are a large number of you think that either the Toyos or the Falkens are a good replacement for the Bridgestones on the standard UK wheels, but what about the 17" wheels on the JDM? Is it more to do with the car and its suspension setup rather than the wheels themselves?
  11. to the forum, and carry on enjoying the Z as often as you can. By the way, just be careful with some of these young guys on here - they get excited very easily.
  12. Where did you get them? Sorry if I missed this in an earlier thread. Got mine from Phil I should have known really.
  13. Where did you get them? Sorry if I missed this in an earlier thread.
  14. That's helpful but still doesn't help identify where the fluid reservoir filler cap is located. I can't find it either. The service manual seems to indicate that this is not normally a serviceable part, but my previous car developed a leak in the auto box which ultimately led to a major problem, so it's useful to be able to top up the fluid if anything happens. I also wonder what mileage/age that it would be advisable to change the fluid. My car is nearly 5 years old but has only done 37,000 miles.

    tyre pressures

+1 wots that then................. 35 all round, I think.
  17. This story and the film even made the TV news (BBC Reporting Scotland) the other night. If there are a lot of JCBs going missing over the next few weeks, we'll know why!
  18. That just shouldn't be allowed, even in the States.
  19. +1 I laughed out loud when I read that one! Excellent. (Oh, and I corrected your spelling too, Andy.)
  20. in central Scotland? Anybody on here know of a reputable place which uses the latest laser tracking technology?
  21. That's really helpful information. If I wanted to use this to feed a spare power supply in the front, would the black wire give me an earth?
