  1. I'm in the same situation, but at least I have a separate transponder for the immobiliser fitted at SVA time. However, the ignition key also operates the remote door locks, so an ordinary replacement key would be of limited use, even if we could get it to turn the ignition.

    Shell Optimax

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I wondered if anyone else had come across this. I was told at my local Shell station yesterday that they had been banned from selling Optimax for at least the next week - mentioned something about additives causing problems with Subaru engines!
  3. Afraid I've been a subscriber to Autocar for over 25 years. Gives away my age, doesn't it. So what's wrong with a 50 something owning a real sports car?

    Brembo brakes

Thanks for this information. I'll take a closer look at these companies - the info on rotor size and calipers is very helpful. Cheers

    Brembo brakes

I have been looking around the web for disks and pads etc. Trouble is, apart from the Brembos, I'm not too sure what to look for in order to improve on what is already on the car. There is a company called Car Parts Direct which is promoting Rossini equipment. Anybody had any experience of this kit?

    Brembo brakes

Thanks to all for the advice. Having now priced the upgrade at roughly £2500 (and that's only for the front), I think I will stick to the standard brakes for the moment. Her indoors wouldn't understand! Cheers, Jim

    Brembo brakes

Hi, Just joined recently, first posting. This is a very helpful forum. I have just bought a JDM import, Gunmetal, tiptronic box, boot spoiler, standard alloys, aftermarket DVD/CD/MD player (ADDZEST). It's brilliant, but I notice that a lot of you rave about the Brembo brakes fitted to the UK spec models. Mine has the stock brake calipers. Is it possible to upgrade to Brembos? Can it be done easily? Is it expensive/worth it? PS Another difference from the UK spec - the alloys are 17", not 18".
