Do take up Zman's offer - no one knows Zeds like Alex does and he has his own workshop and it will be sorted out once and for all.

Still hanging around on in here nearly as long as me Have a good one Liam (for those who are scratching heads: http://www.350z-uk.com/user/7749-sarnie/ )

There are some older than 70 on here who own Zeds.....but I'll let them reveal if they choose. I'll put my hand up to being the oldest mod though......and one of the oldest members having lurked when the forum got going in Jan 2006 and I signed up a couple of months later. But wasn't going to respond to this thread not having Zed anymore as the OP asked, until I got name dropped!

A pm to the OP is advisable

I'll even drive it there if you ask nicely http://www.motorline.co.uk/nissan/Find-Us/Motorline-Nissan-TunbridgeWells/104806/DealershipDetails.aspx

I'll show you as Payco is being bashful http://www.350z-uk.c...ge__hl__exhaust

I had a Stillen exhaust fitted and an uprev and that did not affect the warranty - that 'issue' is only likely to have an impact if (say) the exhaust directly caused a failure. As I say, much depends upon the garage concerned and by all means mention this forum/my name at Motorline if you want to give them a try - I'm just sad to hear you have been put off by not the greatest aftercare experience as the 370 was the best car I ever owned for sheer driving pleasure.

No stores anywhere near me have any (Collection only) - Burgess Hill says they did online, reserved one only to be rung and told no stock -
Hmmmm...... - several questions in mind arise form this (having worked as a Planner all my life but now retired, thank God! ) Start ing Yes, no doubt he needs planning permission from what I see from the photos that is a major road. But, in any event there is also a need for planning permission as even it was a quiet residential road, as what he has done does not make provision for surface water run-off within his property. Now where he lives the Local Planning Authority, in that regard, may have said flooding is not an issue locally and agreed to some 95% of his 'garden' being hard-surfaced. But they can also say no if they perceive it would be a danger to highway safety. But separately, he would need approval of the Highway Authority and that carries a fee for either them using direct labour or one of their approved contractors to carry out the work of creating the access across the pavement and verge and lowering the kerb and moving any utility object in the way. I believe some Authorities will agree to house owners doing that work by one of their approved contractors, but personally I never came across that myself. Again they can say no if they perceive a danger to highway safety. It is my guess it is the highway authority is the obstacle here and has installed the barrier as the Planning Authority cannot do that. A common situation is that the two 'authorities' concerned, not uncommonly, fail to liaise which each other, or it maybe the house owner failed to notify both if that is the required expectation. So whilst it is easy in the case above to jump to conclusions as to which said no, it looks very much to me that the left hand was not talking to the.......yep you guessed it! Dangerous - well like Dan eloquently described above, probably not. More likely, whichever of the two authorities has taken exception I bet, looking at the pics that they don't want a precedent set, or move reversing to or from the highway. The fact there are double yellow lines suggests parking is a hazard already. In London where I did most of my work, some house owners got round the reversing issue (if that was the only concern) by installing turntables in their front garden! Quite how the authorities check their use is anyones guess. There are appeal procedures but if the issue is highway safety then rarely does that concern get overturned. But what surprises me is that whilst an Authority has denied the access, they are seemingly happy for verge parking nd a trailing electric lead across the pavement Whatever, a ****-up but just thought I would add my two-pennies worth in case any other member who has donned the electric hat (or not!) and might be in a similar situation. Oh, and I have no idea if the precise rules have changed in the last 3 years, so if you are thinking of doing something similar talk to both your local planning and highway authority first

If event organizers let mods know they would like their event added to the calendar or that an advertised event details need changing, let one of us guys in green know the details and we will do the necessary. Certainly do not want members to miss such opportunities so a good question Mrs Niki.

Looks very nice, and yes a very rare colour.

Great buy Matt - I can see the ZED grins coming back for you - just get out on some twisties and enjoy the zorst/synchro soundtrack and you won't bother with music anymore -
Got to shut you up somehow Dan Another for MPSS - there are other tyres that are fine but if you want the ultimate they are currently it

Swap!.....although expect to put your hand in your pocket gstraw for both the work and on the basis that current s/h prices for used OEM 370 exhausts are zero.

I'll presume you are not winding me up, but in the pic below of my 2006 rev-up 350 you can see the heated seat switches and blank this side of the gearlever .....on what I have called the central tunnel

Hi mate is this one a high performance centre ? Ive been told the 370z can only go to one of these ? Thanks Sorry to hear you are having problems. When I lived in Epsom I used Motorline in Tunbridge Wells while the 370 was under warranty - and found their service/helpfulness excellent. Even when I was concerned about my gearbox at the end of the warranty period they got their GTR technician to test it with me and he agreed there was an abnormal noise. When I was told they had reported the issue to Nissan the initial instruction was to strip the box but having taken advice on here Motorline had no issue with challenging Nissan that their customer (and they agreed with me without hesitation) and they felt a new box should be provided, which Nissan agreed to. Now I know yours is a different issue but I am fairly sure that Nissan will be more accommodating to those HPC centres who they see are resolving customers issues so that public feedback is good. I also have to say that I found the reception manager Ian (not sure if he is still there) very fair in all respects. So the hour + journey to TW for me was well worth the effort and invariably they had a 370 loan car to use --- sadly no GTRs though As others have said, 6.5k miles is nothing and when I know over 12k of the 22k+ miles done when I sold it was done in my 370 on 'spirited' drives that have been organized on here in years past - many in Wales and Scotland, my clutch was absolutely fine on the day it was sold and as far as I know is still going strong. If you want any more detail just pm me

Alarm bells ringing! Unless you know by good recommendation that the intended Nissan dealer has a good reputation for sorting things out on ZEDs, and sadly there are precious few of them because their guys rarely see our cars in the workshops nowadays, then get an opinion from an independent who specializes in ZEDs - there are quite a few on here and I sure members who are local to your location in Telford can point you in the right direction.

What Dan says ^^^. I have seen feedback on here that the AA insurance has paid out when others haven't for the same kind of car issue, but that was some time ago and I really would say invest in a slush fund - use the money you would paid to some rip-off insurance 'deal' as a starter in that fund. It's what I do for anything that by law does not require insurance by law and of course the house. When I think back to the money I paid out on wasted on insurance years ago and then asked myself how many claims I made - NIL. - enough said?

Central tunnel is same for coupes and roadsters and that third blank is for roof opening on the roadsters.

Heated seats only came with leather seats fitted as standard OEM iirc. The switches (for those who don't have them) have 2 settings, but othwise it just the blank rubber (pads). Personally I found the heated seats on both my 350s were too efficient......even on the lowest setting, unless it was freezing temps.

Seeing you are relatively new on the forum I'll just point you in the direction of the Group Buy rules in case you have not seem them: http://www.350z-uk.c...-on-group-buys/ First observation I would make is that are you are aware the reflectors for the rev-up versions of the 350s are different to the pre-rev-ups?
