  1. Brings back some great memories of the Hoon last year and really looking forward to this year's event - and the Applecross run is one of the highlights with some great roads that really do bring out the 's The hotel looks great - is it near Applecross? Couldn't check out your pics as I don't have your password
  2. That mitt sounds like it would be a good wrist strengthener I have being using the £5.80 version on this link - for nearly a year - its great and survived endless washing machine visits - far better than any Halfrauds products used previously http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/s ... mitts.html
  3. More like multiple slaps - mind you the number of us on here are that are getting slapped by Nixy will lessen the pain for each
  4. We share some good driving roads too - see pics about 2/3rds the way down on page 3 of this thread viewtopic.php?f=19&t=24148&start=30
  5. For me, the fact it is just RWD makes even more appealing Wonder if I can convince the other 'alf that would be good investment
  6. At least if you leave it you've got the option to remove it later if so decide
  7. +1 - well worth long drives to them too! In my case at least a 1500mile round trip to Scotland in Sept Well over 2000 for me last year and as we are planning to get to John O'Groats this year after the Hoon might well be a similar mileage with roads up there that are just a delight to drive and much of it great company from this forum
  8. June keeps giving me a ticking off as nearly every time she comes into the home office I have the site up on the screen rather than working Which means less money earned for her handbag collection But its a great place to be
  9. As you are a betting man, I say £20 that he does win a race, providing that is he does take part in all the remaining races this season. You up for that
  10. Must have a pop-up blocker because all I can see is the word 'worthless' Sorry AndyRigby to misuse your thread, I have started another one of myown on the problem
  11. OK, so to make this reply I open up the VIEW MORE SMILIES afresh and.choosing one that is not alongside the posting box........I get So its working this time And, no I haven't had a liquid lunch Be interested to hear if there are other besides Beavis and me having "issues" (I detest that politically correct twaddle these days, but I have to mind my p's and q's with the Local Government bods I have to deal with everyday, I'm even using it myself ) Ah.. back on the topic the smilies are still working (for now!)
  12. I can rarely get the additional smilies to go into posts of late - and I haven't got the smilies disabled - any clues why they have stopped migrating
  13. Welcome to the site and interested hear about your ZED project but .........................................................you know whats coming this thread is worthless without pics Can't seem to get the 'view more smilies' link to work (again), and before anyone says it, I haven't got the smilies turned off
  14. Here you go viewtopic.php?f=32&t=21842&hilit=axle
  15. Gee, thanks for that - should have realised ............................... I'm just little oll townie boy
  16. Not sure what noise squirrels make but are your sure it is not: a) clicking rear axles - repair kits at competitive prices are available from ZEDMANLEX. Its not a major worry issue other than the noise. dry brake shims - a touch of high melting point grease between them and the caliper body is the answer there. Both are regular issues with ZEDS - particularly if you think the noise is coming from the rear wheel area heard at slow speeds
  17. Turn that resistance down low Good news the clicky is fixed - those kits are the way to go rather than just the 'turn and regrease' option that is only a temp fix
  18. Yep, Tesco 99 when I can, V-power otherwise, BP ultimate if I'm only really desperate and don't bother with anything else...................................... except when in the Scottish Highlands where beggars can't always be choosy, but then the roads there soon put the :D's back
  19. Famous last words, when he calls you up to say you're going to be a Gran and will you be up for some baby sitting
  20. Bet the number of OEM parts left on yours can be counted on one hand
  21. Don't give 'em ideas
  22. Look at this way - the EVO is an extremely capable car, but it largely drives you and you hang on. But with the ZED it is down to the driver to exploit its full capabilities and you will soon find that once you are in tune with it, that is just why we all go around with a on our face. Having had a couple of Scoobys a while back they were great fun and so rapid in wet conditions but AWD does disguise the driver imput to make you feel a little more of a passenger - hope that makes sense
  23. Likely to be more hassle/cost arguing the toss than seeling the item on, but identifying first excactly what model it fits. Hey Nic, if is this the same son who had the m/c incident in Wales - he's not having a great time of things is he
