  1. I've just been and done this, cost me £50 exactly and I reckon I'll fit 80 litres in my old Jeep Cherokee saving £40 so I've got quite a lot of stuff for a tenner there
  2. Thanks guys Yes I had to look around a lot for decent car with low miles and the EDC too, worth the wait though. I totally agree about the exhaust...in fact my replacement actually arrived today! Bargain used Milltek back section I'm averaging 18.5mpg at the minute, that is 60% sensible and 40% spirited driving I'd say. I've seen single figures when giving it some! The Lexus and Jag didn't have the same appeal for me personally, hard to put my finger on why but I didn't really look into them when I bought. The only other car I considered was the C63 AMG but I had a budget of 30k and wanted a decent low mileage car and they were few and far between at that price. I've also always had a thing for M3's and I've wanted one for years, I still think they are the benchmark for this category of car although there are a lot of credible alternatives these days Well I'm fortunate really as I don't do many miles at all in the car commuting, so it's mainly used at weekends. I'm averaging 18.5mpg on the M3 and it was around 23mpg on the Zed I think. I'm not sure how accurate the computers are really but in real terms I used to put £40 a week in the Zed and now I put £50 in the M3 and do the same miles
  3. Thanks for all the good comments guys I think I had the same feeling when srobrien posted pictures of his E92 M3 on here a while ago, it made me want one even more! Luckily not yet, but I'm expecting it soon It's an industrial estate in heaton mersey, just off Didsbury Rd. Not the most exotic of loacations! haha
  4. I sold my zed 6 months ago and here is my replacement for anybody who is interested It's a 57 plate manual with 25k on the clock, and is very nicely specced with lots of goodies including electronic damper control and the top of the range 'individual audio' system with subs under the seats. The grilles, gills and bonnet vents have been changed for the black 'edition' versions and the wheels powder coated gloss black. Had it for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it! Very good as a daily driver (I don't do many miles) and truly awesome when you open it up. I particularly like the fact that I can set it to sensible mode for normal driving - soft suspension, more gentle throttle response, Lighter steering and traction control on.... Then at the press of the handy 'M' button it is the exact opposite, everything into extreme! Well, apart from traction control which has a great intermediate setting as I'm not ready to die just yet Here are the pictures... Just iPhone pics so not great quality, it's very hard to pick up the wheels properly and the pics don't do them justice as they look great in the metal
  5. I made the same move to an E92 M3 a few months back... Great car, you won't regret it!
  6. Sounds good tom! That is what I wouldve done next if I had kept it will sound awesome I bet! By the way I've recently picked up a proper replacement for the zed... An E92 M3 will get some pics in the other cars section, I'm loving the V8!!
  7. I'd be very surprised if that was the case as they have finally got it running well and at a sufficient level of reliability, it had been plagued with various running issues in the past but it was finally up an running properly. I understand the police have detained a number of men in association with this theft now also...
  8. The car had been found partially stripped in the reading area by Thames valley police Very lucky indeed!
  9. Yeah it was only a grand! :-) Got 12k for my Zed and the Nismo's by selling them separately so cash in the pocket towards the house Sensible move but I'm still gutted to be honest
  10. I've only just got arount to writing this but I sold my car at weekend Very sad to see it being driven off but its house purchase time for me and I couldnt justify keeping it. Its been the best car Ive ever owned by a long way and i'm going to sorely miss it! I'm glad to say that I sold it to a member on here TomSinclair so I know it has gone to a good home So congratulations Tom, its a great car and I know you'll be very happy with it. Ive gone from this: . . . To this!...... BAD TIMES!
  11. Yep I was very sad to see it go! But i'm glad its staying within the club. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have, its been a great car for me over the last couple of years I'm sure you'll get used to the sporty clutch in no time too and the eagerness to go when setting off!
  12. Yes i definitely underpriced mine, they sold in about 10 minutes
  13. I use Sky and pay 680 fully comp. I have similar stats but 8 years NCB and a stockport postcode which Chris Knott wont even touch... Try sky
