  2. Welcome to the forum derek1howe And if you haven't already gathered by now from the reactions to the post below, ZMANALEX is Mr350 on anything technical
  3. If I put my age on here it would make the average across the forum about 50

    tyre pressures.

This link provides some useful info: http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html
  5. After giving the wife's Jazz a quickie gave the 370 its first wash and tickle after sitting under snow for two weeks and then took it out for a little airing around Epsom Downs, as you do, just to make sure all the nooks and crannys were dry I little longer drive tomorrow - wonder what that will bring

    tyre pressures.

My edit - its just not worth risking IMO.

    tyre pressures.

35psi is the 'official' pressure - remember the LMGT4's were a Nissan option and the same pressures applied

    tyre pressures.

I had the LMGT4's with Falken 452's, obtained from Big Phil and I remember him saying just stick with the 35psi. Yes, running slightly lower pressures might save a bit of tyre life but if you like to exploit the cars full potential I would say stick with the 35psi (only check when cold) as I did notice than running at slightly lower pressures* did not help the cornering with the relatively soft Falken side walls. * I have found that the pressures do drop when the car is not used regularly, hence why I discovered the slightly poorer handling so do check them regularly And yes, as others have said do not mix tyres - keep to the same type all round.
  9. That's just given June a great laugh - mind you a bit concerned she was shouting OFF OFF OFF at the end
  10. All I can say is there are so many roads up there to enjoy it is a real pleasure after putting up with the South East congestion for (most) of the rest of the year . And we now know there is a very good reason for driving up to Durness and so yes I feel Ullapool would be a good base for geeting to Applecross, Kinlochewe as well as the north coast and there are plaenty of B & B's and hotels and eateries
  11. Some LEDs in there would look nice
  12. Ah, well you have to earn a gift from me.........Martin has done things for me! The sly old bugger, he gave you a tug then
  13. Any before and after pics?

    amazing zorst mod

I've seen one - in that case the LEDS were red (not bright) but flashing - went well with the Chav Corsa it was on I thought
  18. We are talking someone who washes their car under arc lamps, so a bit of snow sculpture in the daytime seems OK, but disappointed he did not build his very own sledge
  19. 350's/370's in the snow and ice can be compared to sending a race car on a rally stage - they don't mix
  20. Hope they have not been sitting there for nearly 3 years
  21. There is - the armco is bent over on the l/h side of the pic
  22. Yep - I'll go with that, and with the clear patches on the ground under the car someone has gone to an awful lot of trouble to make it appear real. Looking at the damage to the armco you wonder if it has slid along that to its resting place
  23. Just ring them and book bud Fundage is low atm, got roadtax this month and visitor to entertain next week, and I'm sure they'll either want a deposit or even the full payment, so no can do for now No money taken until you get there in May Thanks again Neil - that is right, no money is taken until you arrive (or if you don't and don't let them know in accordance with their T & Cs that you get with confirmation of a booking.) But what we are doing is monitoring the take-up so that if rooms get scarce so that if anyone does have to drop out then we can hopefully ensure late-comers get any rooms that become available. REMEMBER IF YOU DO NOT RESERVE A ROOM AT LEAST ONE MONTH BEFORE THE 22/23 MAY WEEKEND YOU WILL NOT GET THE DISCOUNTED GROUP BOOKING PRICES, EVEN IF ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE.
  24. Thanks for that clarification Neil - yes it is for individuals to make their own booking. We are getting the names from Moreton Park about who has booked but of course we need to pair those the forum username hence why we have asked everyone who has booked to add their surnames
  25. I think the discount is already in the prices, £60 or £70 incl breakfast is cheaper than their normal rates. Correct See this link for further info viewtopic.php?f=19&t=31252
