  1. Welcome to he forum and 370 ownership - hope you can join us in Wales on the 22/23 May weekend - I don't want to be the only 370 owner there amongst all the 350's
  2. They say 2 are for Mercedes and the other is for the ZED -seems an open and shut case
  3. He claims to have just got married and they have had a baby - so how old are those pics, but perhaps with his nickname Givitsum anyone buying should check out the rear seat for undue wear and tear......tut, tut
  4. Seeing it is on a 55 plate which takes us to March 2006 and the Japs had the facelift mods at least 6 months before us it could well be a 2006 model. Someone might recognize that badge on the rear bumper? Otherwise, I would say it is a standard imported car. Shame that the details are to pot - suggesting it is a 2007 and UK car Hope nobody is fooled by that, but otherwise if the car is sound and fully checked out, it seems a fair price

  6. I used to love wagon wheels and they were about 6 inches in diameter and about half an inch thick - now they are not much bigger than ginger biscuit - one bite and they are gone
  7. Tim Further to your pm in answer to my request for quotes, I sent an email through yesterday as advised but not having heard to day dialed the 0800 number this afternoon and a guy said he would look at my message and get back to me - but heard nothing. As time is running out to sort the insurance for our 2 cars and the weekend now upon us I wonder if you could give a prod in the right direction?
  8. Strangely enough this is car forum run by unpaid 350/370 enthusiasts who enjoy all things car-related and a fair smattering of off-topic subjects that has its fair share of banter - but when it becomes time-wasting by boundary pushers who don't know when to draw the line - enough is enough as we have better things to do with our time. Often we see members sharing those sentiments whether that is on open forum, pms or reports. Having said that, "you can never please all of the people all of the time" as they say, but a balance has to be struck somewhere.
  9. The interior is usually the give-away - here's a pic. Quite a few pre MY06 models (introduced mid 2006) have been updated externally in one way or another but very few have gone the whole hog changing the interior. Some of the earlier MY03 models (up to mid 2006) were not sold until 2007 - so be careful if its a 56 plate car you are buying. Not in that pic - each door on the MY06 models has bottle/can holders below the pulls and there is also a small cargo net on the passenger footwell side of the tunnel. (The phone holder, socket extension and curley wires were my ornaments ) Good luck
  10. They should do, but they don't The floor mats with logos are about £65 reatil and yes, do haggle for them. You get a thin boot carpet or you can get a much better carpet with logo for about the same money - again worth haggling for. Good luck
  11. Spotted in Pound Street around noon by 'er indoors, well she was outdoors then.. I have 'er well trained now
  12. Having seen it I think you should be guided by your g/f I was reliably informed that as of last Friday Nissan UK had not sold a single one, which does not surprise me in the slightest - yes you might see one on the road but they are demos or giveaways. Chances are the prices will be slashed Sorry, but IMO they are absolutely dreadful
  13. you saved up for some petrol yet - shame it had to be parked for 6 months cos it was running out pics are OK I guess BTW
  14. Yes, manual please! Nice choice
  15. matth76: You started this thread on the basis you had a scary moment on your present tyres and that I see is still your main concern. While it is always nice to have a cool looking tread pattern we also know that does not mean it is the best tyre for a RWD pumping out 276bhp+ as there is ample evidence on this forum to that effect. Definitely bin the O40's - having experienced those way back they were far too hard a compound/side wall and whilst great for drifting, on the road, particuarly in wet/slippery conditions, are bad news. The tyres that keep coming across as the most suitable for the ZED are the Michelin Pilot Sports (probably the best but also the dearest) followed, and in no particular order, by the T1R Toyos, 452 Falkens, Vredestein Sessantas and 050A Stones. I'm not saying they are the only ones but that's what shows up having followed opinions on here over the last 5 years or so and in my book you need to use you head rather than your heart in terms of tyre choice. Of the options I have noted the Toyos probably come closest to satisfying the looks 'department' - hopefully they are available again as there has been a supply issue for ZED rears in 2009. And while I am on my soapbox, please, please use the same tyres on all 4 wheels and don't wait to you get down to the legal minimum in tread depth. Different tyre brands and types made by the same manufacturer are all constructed differently and the ZED is a beautifully balanced an poised car in standard form (that is what has made it one of the best drivers' cars) - to then mix tyres between front and back is unlikley to improve on the handling or grip - it is more likley to worsen it and will 'bite' at the wrong time, in the same way as worn tyres will.
  16. Back to the good old days Stan - hand washing and ringer
  17. Looked good - guess the cold kept the numbers down and was that Alex's car with the red bumper that flashed by a couple of times ?
  18. From the direct.gov.uk website: Driving an untaxed vehicle to an MOT test You can drive your vehicle to and from a pre-arranged test at an MOT test station as long as you have adequate insurance cover in place for the use of that vehicle. This is also for vehicles being driven to and from a pre-arranged test at a Vehicle Inspection Check (VIC) test station, an approved weight testing station and reduced pollution test.
  19. The RE050A are standard fit on the 370's some detail I found about that tyre: "The Potenza RE050A tyres for the Ferrari F430 feature an asymmetrical, nondirectional tread pattern. Bridgestone has optimized the inner portion of the tread for wet-weather driving, especially important in Europe, and the outer portion of dry surfaces. The tyres thus provide a superior combination of dry- and wet-weather performance, along with a quiet, comfortable ride for touring. Bridgestone supplies similar Potenza RE050A to Enzo Ferrari, Superamerica and 612 Scaglietti." If its good enough for Ferrari.........
  20. Just need the KW full lift system to go with the kit now
  21. I would agree - nice to hear now and again but all the time.......... Shades of the K1
