+1 It amazes me how many members have a licence to drive a 300bhp car but quite clearly cant read or follow simple forum rules. I'm not so sure the the culprit has a ZED, just sees us as a free ebay site - time to deal with him

$40 dollars for shipment (US Postal Services to UK) and then £8 by Parcelforce to my home + £22.82 for VAT. The parcel included the touch-up paint as well. You obviously take pot-luck with the exchange rate - I haven't seen my card account with the payment deducted to know the actual total sterling price, but worked out roughly a £100 cheaper than having them supplied (painted) from Nissan UK.

Another possible problem may be the handbrake has been left on when the car was reversed - I am sure that is what happened to Lincolnbaggie last October in Wales when he accidentally did that but after a while it cleared (whatever it was) itself.

As you say Trev, if you spec the Cayman up to match what the ZED offers then it is in an altogether price bracket. I'm sure I would come to the same conclusions as you about the driveability but then again I quite enjoy the questions (and even more so with the 370) - "nice motor mate what is it?" But do you know what, this forum is what makes ownership of a 350/370 so good, and its nice to see you and many other ex 350 owners are not letting go Keeps us posted though on life with a Cayman

TGM sport a paying member on here are they or did they do you an amazing deal when you got your bits sorted? You getting a little touchy Mark - its horses for courses and TGM are not paying Traders on here but are just very helpful with competitive pricing and as such don't need to advertise, I guess. In this case it was helping the OP with a good repair shop in his county Certainly when I want 4-wheel alignment doing or rolling work done for example I would likely go to Abbey but I will always keep my options open rather than continually promoting, or indeed advertising, favoured outfits.

+1 especially depending on the work you want done, be very careful with the hourly rates charged. Some of the more "specialist" garages charge more for their expertise, so wouldnt use them for normal servicing etc, just for bigger jobs, but Tom and the chaps know their stuff and possibly the most competitive rates around How do you mean "specialist" garages Chris? Abbey and TDI? Generally those that have more knowledge (and experience doing engine builds, TT builds etc) which attract a higher rate, and rightly so, but for smaller jobs, where thats not required there are more economical alternatives. Just pointing out the options Not really on servicing, const difference is minimal unless your getting a deal. Also you will find that the "specialists" use the service parts offered by Nissan and also use Nissan CONSULT and have Nissan trained staff, thus you can still say that you have a FNSH. Personally I would pay that little bit more to people that work on 350z's / 370z's virtually every day of the week. Certainly not an uprev (MY06) and looking at the offside damage and buckled rear rear (not mentioned on the ad) I would suggest that a full check underneath is done as I suspect there is more damage hiding there Be very wary

Yeah - as noted under the pic - if Nissan can supply it there why not here? When you look at what is available over there for 370's, compared to so little on offer over here from either Nissan or after-market suppliers, it is frustrating.

Not surprisingly Nissan UK were unable to suply any Storm White touch-up paint for the inevtiable stone chips. That available on the net seemed to be silly prices and frankly for small chips the 3-stage stuff seems over the top. Having saw the mud guards on Motorsport Auto, noticed they also did a touch-up paint that has a roller ball tip with a separate brush - just $6.90. Although it does not include the lacquer the test looks very good so a an extra fiver or so seems money well spent. Will be visiting the local Nissan dealer with the touch-up, after the parts guy insisted Nissan do not supply it - but they certainly do across the pond

Just arrived today from Motorsport Auto (excellent service) - saved about £100 compared to Nissan prices here which sound cheap at first but they are come unpainted, unlike in the States. Colour and pearlescent finish looks good. Decided on these having looked at the 370's flanks and the way the rear bumper extends under and behind the rear wheels - far more so than with the 350's. And hopefully it will mean those following are not peppered as much Wheels off and a jacked up job to fit (a few holes to be drilled) so pics to come when done.

So much will depend on which car is best suited for the new Regs - Brawn stole it last year so it will be interesting to see which team leads off this year. Don't write Jenson off too soon - he is the one that will make the tyres last, given no fuel stops will frustrate tyre changes for those like Lewis who tend to kill their tyres. Whilst I would agree Lewis may be a better 'racer' but that natural instinct may be his undoing, if he has shot his tyres too early in the race. But then I alawys like to see an 'underdog' win through and Jenson was written off by many on here last year but he got the crown........
