  1. Sorry to hear of your problems and knowing how martinmac went through the hoops (to say the least) he is well placed to steer you in the right direction. Looking back at your posts I see you said when you were buying the car that: It’s 2007 model with a raised bonnet, 5.5k on the clock and asking price is £20k. BUT! It’s an ex-demo car of a Nissan dealership. I’m a bit worried of the amount of abuse it has taken for these 5,500 miles. In which case I would suggest you go back the Plymouth dealership and given the weather has probably frustrated the roof operation, IMO I consider you should be able to argue you have been sold a car not fit for purpose, or at least put them on the spot that if it was their demo then the report back you have had suggests it was not properly looked after or checked prior to sale? Do hope you get it sorted. When you say Wilson Automotive is that Wilsons of Epsom?
  2. Welcome to the forum and enjoy the Zed on some nice roads you have your part of the world
  3. Be interested to hear what our new member who works for Red bull team says about this
  4. same as your car
  5. The rules say a price SHOULD be included, not MUST be included. In this case the seller is asking for offers so for those showing interest in items pm the seller with your offer and if at first you don't succeed try again

    MPG

    She is lighter than the spacesaver so not a lot of help there and anyway she keeps threatening me that if I keep driving it like I stole it I'll be on my own in Wales
  11. they're not pink they're anodised red, which happens to come out with a very slight lighter shade of red Sir! I just looked up the definition of pink and it says " pale reddish colour" and when a woman says pink, pink it is Nuts apart the wheels look great - but tell you what how about pink calipers to match your nuts

    MPG

    Is that due to the back end being lighter Colin? Possibly, but I now have spacesaver installed so I have upped the car's overall weight - but its a 'seat-of-the-pants' thing when you just know the torque being pushed through to the rear wheels is far superior - something I never felt with the 296 over the 276. If, and its a big 'IF', the Stillen has added an extra 18 bhp then the 370 is knocking on 350bhp - whether that is the case or otherwise it certainly feels a lot more power is available

    350z == dead

    Glad to hear no-one was badly hurt and another case where the passenger compartment of a ZED has obviously stood up well to the impact - thankfully for you. Hope that might tempt you into replacement 350 or even a 370 roadster

    MPG

    Was out yesterday having a play of some of my favourite roads, and oh boy this 370 has some grunt and does she like to shake her ar$e off the line - far more than I ever experienced with both the 350's. The pull through the whole rev change is awesome and at the time I was thinking those with shares in Shell will be doing very nicely I expect the syncro rev match is not helping on consumption but it is joy to use now I can use the full rev range - you just go looking for downshifts and with the Stillen barking - oooooooh I'm luving it But on getting back from a 120 mile or so round trip the computer said 24.8 mpg which I thought was brilliant with less than 2500 miles on the clock and having spent much of the drive giving it the Ebized leaded right foot workout.
  15. Try http://www.h-dev.co.uk/index2.php?page=home Based at Chieveley, Berks. Ask for Jez - he is a 350 owner on this forum

  21. Ask no questions you will hear no lies first off the rear spring is OE in design, meaning the spring sits exactly where the stocker sits. as far as height adjustment goes for the rear, there is an adjustable perch on the rear spring as well as a collar on the shock. you must adjust the shock with the sping to maintain proper shock travel--ie when you move the spring perch a few turns, lower the shock a few turns. in the front you just lower the shock body as the springs come preloaded from hks. if you are not coner balancing then just leave the preload alone. as for the shock setting adjustment. the fronts are at the top of the strut and is changed with a supplied allen wrench. the rear adjustment is made by a knob on the lower part of the rear shock. this is easy for me as i have stock brakes and lmgt4's--this allows me to stick my hand through the open part of the wheel and turn the knob. install is easy. the front struts are pre-assembled. the rest is very similar to any other spring/shock install that you can find in DIY section. the only thing i recommend is if you are going to lower the rear a lot then do the perch adjustment before you install it as it is difficult to access once installed. Hope that helps as an English translation for the fitting instructions - well haystack and needle come to mind

    370z spotted :p

    Base model (the 18" wheels are the give-away) - they seem to be far more prolific in the US than here.
  24. You all guessed wrong - the answer is in the posts near the bottom - if you believe it "350z Guy says: April 11, 2010 at 2:52 pm Hilarious. Somebody showed me this website. I am the owner of the 350z on the bottom. I was parked and the Camry was reversing on the other side of that island. I’m not sure what happened, but he suddenly gassed it quickly and he accelerated over the center median which acted as a ramp and it hopped onto my car. I’m the guy in the hoodie."
  25. Love to comment on your work, but sorry, that crumble is toooooooooooooooooooooooo distracting
