  1. Has the dent in the garage wall been fixed Nice house though - guess you will be keen to start afresh - do you know where?
  2. Do you have personalised plate? If so, I think it was you. What, like the one in his sig
  3. And there is no reason for a ZED to overtake another ZED on the Wales drives, unless waved by - it is not a race but there will be roads where the full potential of the ZEDs can be enjoyed and safely used with spirited driving but within the legal limits. We all know ZED paintwork is not the greatest at resisting stone chips, so it is everyone's interest to not only keep a decent distance from the car you are following, but to minimize overtaking and peppering others in the process.
  4. When I had my 2004 Zed I had what sounds like a similar issue to yours and all it turned out to be was the need for some copper grease around the brake pad shims that were causing the clicking. IIRC, Zmanalex sells some special shims to help overcome the problem - so send him a pm - he is a fountain of knowledge on these thnigs and I'm sure will put you right.
  5. Have a great day, and night
  6. With the digital mpg read out on the 370 and in cruise it is interesting to see just how much the mpg flucuates to keep the speed constant as a recent motorway revealed. I don't agree with those who say it is more economical to use cruise as that is set to do your 70mph (or whatever) which means the engine is working hard on the uphills and then using engine braking on the downhills. I found I could keep the digital mpg read-out more constant without the cruise on and as long as you are prepared to vary the speed depending on the gradients you can be more fuel efficient. The only time I ever use the cruise BTW, is on motorways to give my right ankle a rest and to have play with the 'throttle' on the steering wheel. Have yet to use the speed limiter on the 370 - that just isn't cricket As Chris says, maxing corners without braking more than you have to will help save fuel - it just amazes me how many drivers you see jamming on the anchors into corners and then not in the right gear on the exits and that is a sure way to eat petrol.
  7. Great result and write-up Steve - dry conditions obviously a bonus but you and the car have certainly upped the game tremendously from last years exploratory races - good luck for the following races
  8. Clever stuff But don't suppose it would pass crash regs very well
  9. Wudster will tell you viewtopic.php?f=70&t=34798
  10. You despair in the knowldge that the litle scroats, if found, will just get off with a ticking off. Just when is this country going to wake up to the need for real deterrents in place to stop mindless vandalism and other crime, which should include the parents for their failure to drum in right from wrong and to start disciplining their off-spring. Really feel for you Bockaaarck and the pain you now doubly have to suffer to get the mess sorted out.
  11. Check the level when the oil is cold and you are on level ground. You might have to 'dip' several times to get a relaible reading. Also - what is the oild pressure guage reading at tickover and at 60mph in 6th gear? If the guage seems a bit erractic that is a sign of low oil as the pump picks up what is there and in turn triggers the guage sensor. If stil in doubt go back to the garage and insist on an oil change
  12. Sounds like the fuel damper - do a search on here - there is pleanty of advice
  13. Great pics and the car looks spot on and I can understand why you like it as it is
  14. They will fit but remember these 18" wheels are off the 'basic' 370 whereas the GT models run 19" wheels (that will also fit) - see my sig
  15. Great pics and some stunning cars there But is that ice-blue one in the last couple of shots a modded Jag, or what
  16. Central barrier and with my eyes popping out on the road ahead with my son driving my pride and joy who was regularly downshifting to enjoy the syncro rev and Stillen, meant I didn't see
  17. Flew past you in the opposite direction on the way back from Brands around 4.30, as you were slowed by an accdent hold up around the Clacket Lane services. I waved as my son was driving - a little treat after he had been easily the fastest in his 'M3 Master' group as well as it being his birthday tomorrow and he clearly has a heriditary lead right foot First one I have seen on the road - and I wasn't driving
  18. Looks good Memories viewtopic.php?f=22&t=13513&hilit=detailing Can't get that with white now
  19. Bet Stanski is drooling, but guess his and Lucy's daughter Anya means a campervan has to come first
  20. Looks very smart Going to be cheeky and ask, do you do boiler service discounts for 350z-uk members as you are not so far from me
  21. Get it to pour you a pint then, to make you feel better about it
