Chris managed it in a fraction of the time on his own, and his was straight!!! james hasn't been on the course we can't tear him away from modding his ZED

    370z spotted :p

Base model (the 18" wheels are the give-away) - they seem to be far more prolific in the US than here.
  3. You all guessed wrong - the answer is in the posts near the bottom - if you believe it "350z Guy says: April 11, 2010 at 2:52 pm Hilarious. Somebody showed me this website. I am the owner of the 350z on the bottom. I was parked and the Camry was reversing on the other side of that island. I’m not sure what happened, but he suddenly gassed it quickly and he accelerated over the center median which acted as a ramp and it hopped onto my car. I’m the guy in the hoodie."
  4. Love to comment on your work, but sorry, that crumble is toooooooooooooooooooooooo distracting
  5. Cheers Mart BTW, the link in your first post does not seem to work now - I used the one on page 5 to find the details
  6. Yep W/M, but do not use a fabric conditioner. They seem to tumble dry OK, but prefer to air dry, when the weather allows
  7. Further to my call Mart - can you book June, me and the 370 in We will probably drive over to meet you at the Premier Inn for 7am - an early start but at least I will have a clear head without having to keep up with you boozy lot the night before
  8. Nicely preped - good luck and let us know how you got on
  9. Just gets better and better James - your attention to detail is second to none Looking forward to seeing the car in Wales - just hope the weather is kind Bet that bulge you are now sporting gets you a bit more attention too
  10. Nissan US supply oil coolers (at a quite a price) but I have read that owners have then had issues with getting the oil temp up to anything near working temperature when not on track or during cold weather So far I have not seen anything above 94 and that included some 'spirited' driving in Wales - and it mostly hovers around 88-90. So unless some serious track work is envisaged or climate change means we get US temperatures, I don't see it being an issue here, but that does not mean I will not be keeping an eye on the oil temp guage. In fact, as the digital light system for water temperature is less informative than the guage in the 350 I will be regularly checking what the oil temp is doing, particuarly in warmer weather.
  11. Wudster (45), BennyH (29), AmyZed (27) Many happy returns guys and Amy have a great one
  12. Happy birthday andlid - 100 today - you kept that quiet you old fart - makes me feel all young again Steady on the egg flip and lemonade now, otherwise you might fall out of that
  13. Nice to see you topless again Mart
  14. What oil are you using as that can effect the readings? 30psi at idle is quite high but a good inidcator that nothing is seriously wrong. Obviously you checked the oil levels when cold, but as the 276/296 dipsticks are a pain in the proverbial to read accurately it might be worth double checking. I found that by monitoring the oil pressure guage that gave me an indication of the oil level changing - as the 296 engine did consume oil, and as soon as I saw the reading was not as high as the usual reading at a steady 60mph in 6th gear that was the time to add more
  15. I have approved the ad without a photo - given the link and on the basis the unit has not been used
  16. On Easter Friday I was in the Buxton Peaks area and came up behind a queue of cars doing about 10mph along a 50mph road. Just thought it was a tractor or other farm vehicle. Got to a stretch where you could see the cars at the head of the queue overtaking and when I got close to the 'cause' it was a couple - probably in their 80's, in an old Skoda Favourit and he was simply driving along at that speed (with no hazards going) and looked for all the world that it was his first drive of 2010. In my book that is driving without due care and attention for other road users and you could see some were taking risks in a relatively windy section of road to get by, out of pure frustration. When it was my turn I was very glad of the 370's horses to go by safely - you now got me thinking perhaps his partner was sitting there jotting down all the number plates of those that passed them and will report them for having the shere audacity to overtake. Makes my blood boil that inconsiderate drivers see fit to 'impose' their speed limit well below that the authoriities in our safety first country deem necessary. Second thoughts, perhaps their eyesight was so bad that was the reason for going so slow and they wouldn't be able to read my number plate
  17. nah - he will be trying to keep up with the white 370 way out in front of him
  18. One downside - not available for the 370 I'll have to find another mod to do
  19. If your budget allows go for the latest - if not you should be able to get a good deal on a 2009 model and even better if that leaves you change for some mods
  20. Condensation is reckoned to be the issue - as you say I found by playing another of the 6 CDs could overcome the problem. But after a while it cleared itself. Touching the proverbial, I have not noticed the problem in the 370......................yet
  21. Amazing result - that Sonus stuff looks pretty useful

    MPG

And I was 'playing' a little with the accelorator/deccelorator 'joystick' to see what the response was like during the run as I was not trying to maximise the MPG. I found it more like the 276 350's where the better engine torque made it more responsive than the 296 engines. And given there were quite a few sections where the speed dropped to below 30 meant the average was pretty respectable

    MPG

Recent trip to Wales saw a return journey on the M40 where I did a calc over 100 miles - according to the guages an average of 70.2mph (about 66/67 in real time speed) gave me 27.6 mpg. Mainly using the cruise apart from when the clowns who seem to think cutting in from an inside lane is a good brake test - no bother for me but giving the braking ability of ZEDs I'm never 100% if the person behind has left enough room
  24. Having driven both I have stuck with the manual as that is what I enjoy + I like to fully control corner entry speeds through the box and engine braking, but I was impressed with the auto and as they both (GT versions) have the syncro rev match function, which is switchable if you don't want it on. Its all down to personal preference at the end of the day.
