  1. Lots of info here on 370 FI options http://www.the370z.com/forced-induction ... noobs.html
  2. Good to see you are getting the measure of the Scoobys a bit more now although their superior grip of the line must be frustrating. Also the rear cameras clearly show the Zeds extra grunt compared to the Hondas, but they sure do close up in the twisty bits whereas there seems little in it comapred to the scoobys? So if the change of direction/grip through the slow corners could be improved that seems to be the answer to those in front and behind - guess that is where a fancy diff would come in very handy?
  3. You got the car in February 2009 and told us in May 2009 the car had done 60k miles and it had the Zito wheels on then. You have not mentioned how many miles you have done since and seem to be saying you have not changed the tyres yet you say they are in pretty good nick - suggesting you have not used the car much and, shall we say, been gentle with the power I would suggest you check the basics first - how much tread have you actually got left and is there even wear across the tread. Make sure the tyre pressures are 35psi, when cold. Normally for 19" wheels, 245 at the front and 275 at the rear with the profiles you have are used, but the rather unique offset the Zito wheels (and rim width?) may dictate something else is warranted. But I have little doubt that your TC problems are down to the tyre/wheel combination and tyre wear over an 18 month period is the root cause of your TC issues.
  4. And if the tyres are well worn that combination could well be the very reason why you feel the TC is not working.
  5. Just a reminder to those asking questions in for sale threads that if you do not see your post when first submitted it is because the Mods have to approve it before it will appear on the thread, so resubmitting the same question again only adds to our workload

    nismo vs remus

I disagree. Having had a Nismo on my previous 350 the sound is awesome in comparison to the stock system when you give it the beans as anyone who follows a nimso equipped ZED will testify. But superb when motorway cruising or arriving home late so as not to wake the other 'alf And to suggest it looks like the stock pressed metal system when the Nismo rear box is s/s and designed to sit lower to be more on display, is a little off the mark, I would suggest And with high-flo cats it is even more awesome. But I admit to not having seen/heard a Remus so my jury is out on that one
  8. Welcome to the forum Unfortunately you are not the first to have a difficulty in getting a test drive. Have you tried getting a drive in a used 370? See this link to see if anything is near enough http://www.nissanusedcars.co.uk/richexperience# Good luck, but if you have any specific queries there are a quite few 370 owners on the forum now and we should be able to help out
  9. Guess if I'm going to to do the rears will need to do the fronts too, so glad you are showing the way Chris
  10. Looks like another little mod I should be doing - very helpful guide Chris
  11. Excellent pics there Darren and glad to hear your ZED is in full health again.
  12. Welcome to the forum and 370 ownership What parking sensors you having fitted? If the rear bumper is coming off I would be intersted to hear the procedure
  13. For some it was a weeks event and not just driving as you will see here viewtopic.php?f=19&t=16819 with Stew on the trip to the north coast after the Hoon ...and Durness beach on the north coast - gee it was windy
  14. +1 - it was after the Silverstone track experience that quickly put aside any doubts and I was happy to shell out for what I can honestly say is turning out to be a big step up from the 350 - and that was good, well they both were
  15. and after you have tried being so positive about the car after the 'issues' you had.... I believe it's for the better, you might be able to tell me... Man after my own heart - I kept it quiet and the team guessing - all adds to the pleasure
  16. Glad the 350 issues didn't put you off ZED ownership and I'm sure that once you have done the run-in there will be plenty of these and these
  17. and after you have tried being so positive about the car after the 'issues' you had....
  18. Quality posts did not go unnoticed - good to have you aboard Dan
  19. Thanks for the work you put into the post Dan and given the subject of mixing tyres is a regular issue hopefully that will help newbies who may be wondering about tyre choice. A vital aspect of maintaining a ZED and getting the best from it that you simply do not skimp on, IMHO.
  20. Link to a TSB for the fuel filler cap sticking http://www.myzroadster.com/Files/tsbs/0 ... 04-059.htm Used this to fix the problem I had on my first ZED
  21. I am sure you will get the factor you want with 350 ownership. Just a small point - the 296 (300) bhp UK ZEDS (MY06 models) were not generally available until the autumn of 2006 - be careful as a lot of traders and even owners try to pass the pre-facelift version as something they are not. Having said that unless you are particularly keen to get the facelift there is certainly nothing wrong with the earlier 276 (MY03 models) - in fact having experienced both I can honestly say I found the 276 engine more suited to the 350. Also be careful if you are aiming for the MY07 models (309bhp) - again some of the earlier MY06 get offered as these. Always ask on here if you not sure when you see something you fancy
  22. Rims do look good and the offsets are perfect. I see you have chosen 30 profile tyres - which seems to be the main reason for the lowering need, looks-wise. Was that a deliberate profile choice or was it dictated by the Vred Sessanta sizes available? How are you finding the ride with that profile? With the 19" Nismo wheels the recommended profile (going back to Big Phil's days) was 35. On the 370 the tyre profiles are 40 and I was surprised just how much difference in the rolling wheel diameter there is between the 35 and 40 profiles - over an inch when I did a side by side comparison. And if the Sessantas are now nicely scrubbed in, how you finding them in the wet and dry?
