    370z wheels wanted

A word of caution. Very comprehensive set of pics which show the refurb work with the thick paint covering the back of the wheels where they bolt onto the hubs and this may lead to disc distortion - something Tophooker on here who regularly deals with this problem has highlighted.
  2. Panda 4 x 4 - ask AK350Z as he has found it very good in Cumbria where they are not short of snow
  3. Very impressive -nice job you have done there
  4. +1 but......as we found with Will's example the manufacture (compared to my earlier version where there have been no issues in the 3.75 years I have had it on the 370 with no issues) was not so clever, including the need for welds to be filed down so that flanges would seat properly. We suspect a typical case of cutting down on costs so as to hike profit.
  5. Are you sure the remote engine starters will work on UK supplied 370's? There are a whole host of 'extras' for other countries (particularly the US) that I am given to understand when I enquired that will not work on our cars - i.e. the auto drop down windows being just one example?
  6. Glad you got rid of that other painter - now that is a whole lot better

    A work of Art

They look superb and if the brakes work as well as they look I can see this set-up becoming a 'must have' on 350's and 370's.
  8. Simples. The OP doesn't want to be bombarded by umpteen posts with Quite often the lack of pics is to do with many newbies joining the forums (including myself when I first joined on here in 2006) not knowing how to post pics. Rather than your thoughts Dan, having seen hundreds of pics posted of standard Beetles Porkers or Zeds But lets face it the reason we on this or other car forums is that we love our motors and whether it is bog standard or modded it might have taken some time to afford one and of course it is natural you want others to see it.
  9. Can't think where he got the idea of using such a bright colour
  10. More suited on a Corsa, IMHO. Sorry Bob, but I think that has just ruined one of the coolest looking ZEDs on the forum.
  11. Be good to see how you got in a 370 on track and compare it to what you have learnt with 350.
  12. That was eventful! Thanks for the report and sorry I could not get along to this one (house move having to get priority) but the race sounds quite something with the number of overtakes you and Mark did and a decent result in the end.
  13. No - Ersen's has a bonnet hump. Sarnie said: They look like Nismo wheels to me........just minus the nismo stickers.... Agreed.
  14. The complete range - take your pick! http://www.furnitureandmirror.com/Top-Quality-Solid-Oak-Living/Zorro
  15. And it has been approved
  16. So called rim protectors are next to useless, in my experience As others say, just make sure you keep away from the kerbs etc.
  17. You would be better off going to an independent who knows the 350 and will (a) get a better service done by someone who knows the 350's as it is likely the guys at a dealer who do this routine stuff would probably not know one end of a 350 for the other and ( the majority (not all) will be whole lot cheaper than any discount the dealer may be willing to offer. I suggest you have a look through the servicing sub-forum on here for the 350's and make a choice from those you see within your traveling distance
  18. Making them swing for it would be a let-off in my book - flogging them to death would be more appropriate given what they did to that child. And just to think the death of baby Peter seemed only five minutes ago with this latest case bringing back those awful memories all too well.
  19. Our congested roads and driving safely will often dictate speeds will more often than not mean we have to travel at less than speed limits allow. But when road/traffic conditions allow we all despair at what are all too often unduly restrictive speed limits inherited from bygone years that reflected cars limitations then. Even the Highway Code contains advice a good many drivers on the road appear to be unaware of, including when overtaking on the left is allowed and advised, in particular Sections 168-169: https://www.gov.uk/using-the-road-159-to-203/overtaking-162-to-169 It is also a shame that the principle of slower cars pulling over for faster cars used on some of Scotlands rural roads is not extended across our Isles: http://web.undiscoveredscotland.com/usfeatures/singletrack/ Look at the pic of the police notice and the general advice that would make our progress far more rewarding if more drivers were considerate of others behind them as its says in that link: "Finally, don't let your concentration on what's coming the other way stop you keeping a close watch on your mirror. If someone comes up behind you, they're obviously travelling the road faster than you are. You should use a passing place to pull over and let them through. This is more than simple courtesy: the road signs above right emphasise the point. And anyway, it is much more comfortable travelling these roads without that same white van sitting on your rear bumper." But all too sadly there do too many drivers of all ages who seem to lack common since and quite how you deal with them God only knows..........
  20. Happy b/day Ken and yes, certainly a good reason to put the kettle on!
  21. I was always add plenty of copper grease and torque up the nuts the same as the wheel nuts to hopefully help prevent that sort of nightmare.
  22. +1, but as the Nismo has a different exhaust as standard it would be good to 'hear' how good it sounds
  23. Interesting - how many miles have you done with the diffusers to form that view? And are you using spacers? Your 370 looks very BTW.
  24. +1 Been around long enough to know the small print will normally give them a 'get-out' to avoid paying. Better to save that money into a separate stash, if you are worried about repair costs.
