  1. You are both what makes this forum a very special place for 350/370 owners and us previous owners who found your knowledge and help invaluable
  2. I take your point about pricing and no doubt most Spanish and real hard core fans used the general admission, whereas those who travel from elsewhere in Europe and further no doubt opt for grandstand seats but their cost coupled with travel/hotel costs mean a very pricey weekend for and lets face it, hardly the most exciting racing with leading runners all too predictable. I do agree about Max - he will be off to Merc or Ferrari for 2020 if he gets no wins or few podiums.
  3. If you fancy a change: Just keeping an eye on 'GUNs' , as that was mine before it had a small makeover - see avatar
  4. For the money, that would be my choice - (obviously needs checking out fully) as the rev-ups are prone to increasing oil consumption and you won't know if that is an issue until you have had it a little while. Looking at the full details of the HR; the underside photos virtually new MPSS tyres and that it has full service history and serviced at recently at Horsham Developments and had the oil gallery gaskets is good news and suggests to me that would be a better buy, although 5 owners is maybe a downside. But that ownership and being a private sale with a short MOT are factors to negotiate the price. Full details in that ad: "2008 registered 350Z HR (308 bhp) with GT Pack. Excellent condition, low mileage and unmodified. Full service history at either Nissan main dealer or specialist. Recently serviced on 25th April 2019 at Horsham Developments. Please ask for details of the full history. Work that has been carried out in the last 18 months includes: oil gallery gaskets replaced, rear exhaust (including centre section and gasket ring), spark plugs, gearbox fluid, clutch fluid, brake fluid, diff fluid, rear brake discs and pads. All paperwork and receipts accounted for. Four new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres fitted in March 2019 and have covered less than 600 miles. No modifications other than magnetic oil drain plug. Factory BOSE head unit replaced with Kenwood double din. Comes with the factory SAT NAV. Next MOT due in October 2019. Car is in excellent condition all over and has none of the common issues associated with the 350Z. Inspections welcome. A slightly sad sale as the car is a joy to drive. Please get in touch for more details. Next MOT due 22/10/2019, Full service history, Grey, 5+ owners, £10,250" But if the Azure 350 is really floating your boat then I would certainly be looking at a substantial price reduction, and the alloys refurbed that the dealer has owned up to as a downside.
  5. Touring cars is great entertainment with manufacturer involvement but the privateers are always in with a chance and us armchair enthusiasts (UK) get to see each event free on TV. Even the supporting races with Touring Cars offer more entertainment than F1 these days, I am sad to say, but then those in control are not out to fleece the humble fans - the very people who who make all categories of racing by professionals viable. When this forum started there was a very active following of F1 but over the years the waning initerest is reflected globaly. You only had to see the number of empty seats at the Spanish GP this last weekend - OK, so Alonso was not taking part but the first European race of the season in the past would normally draw a full house of fans from across Europe that are sadly swithching off in droves, as Martin B alludes to.
  6. Martin Brundle has pretty much summed up F1 - that is rapidly becoming a dinosaur in motor sport these days, although God forbid it takes over the 'whiney' full electric alternative. If Liberty Media say they are all about putting on a show then they are failing miserably IMHO. https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/24096/11719448/martin-brundle-on-spanish-gp-frustrations-and-f1-future-visions
  7. No denying Lewis is a very special talent, but his rise to the top has been helped by being in the right place at the right time to drive for teams at the top of their game. But sadly these days it is all about the performance of the cars and had most of the others on the grid this year, including the rookies, have comparable cars then it would make for far more 'watchable' viewing. Evidence of this is when George Russell (last years F2 winner) had the opportunity to drive the current F1 Mercedes during testing post the Bahrain race and he ended up quickest on the day that included most of the other F1 drivers, whereas he and Robert Kubica have been stuck at the bottom of the finishing order in all the races to date in the totally uncompetitive Williams that also uses the Mercedes engines. https://www.mercedesamgf1.com/en/mercedes-amg-f1/amg-f1-news/amg-f1-article/george-russell-concludes-first-in-season-test-of-2019/ All down to money that buys the best of everything - something the Mercedes and Ferrari teams are prepared to do at any cost to win and sod the rest.
  8. Interest in F1 has fallen away for all sorts of reasons, but I stick with it although I really hate all the emphasis on aero and tyres that currently dominates a car's success or otherwise and I expect many others struggle to understand that I believe is the reason many fans have fallen away, aside from free TV live coverage being taken away this year (except for the UK event). But the attached digital program for this coming weekend's Spanish F1 that dropped into my inbox, from a cursory glance I found interesting enough to start this thread. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.spain-free-digital-race-programme-2019.6ygvXE6K76Ky7zZteugK08.html Would be interested to hear others views on the current state of the sport and its future.......
  9. In the absence of Nissan doing the right thing and providing a no-cost solution for a clearly sub-standard fitment on their cars, it is good to hear one of our highly regarded traders has a solution that comes with a lifetime warranty and at a more reasonable cost than the best that Nissan and their dealers currently offer in the UK. Thanks Sly for stepping in here and a big thumbs down to Nissan who have deemed that their European customers are not so entitled as those in Japan.
  10. All I know is that it worked fine on a VW Beetle ball joint umpteen decades ago and has sat in a toolbox ever since! You are welcome to give it a go. If it helps, I will be up in Brockham on Sunday - if you pm me your number I will give you a call to meet up?
  11. See here: There are several threads on the subject, where you will find that for those who do have steering lock that seizes a decent tap or two on the housing can free the culprit, with the advice to remove the subject fuse. That said, and as said above ^^^, we doubt your 2014 model will have the lock fitted. Raising the issue with Nissan Customer services direct, if a dealer starts quoting silly money should help as reliable sources on here have advised
  12. Awesome weather today Andy! Thanks for arranging again and a good turn-out with some I have not met before in addition to the regulars - these breakfast meets are growing in numbers like we had years past - so let's hope that trend continues And some pics from the day:

  14. Maybe the venue used on 27/1, as they looked after us well?
  15. Put me down Andy on the list please - might be a bit late, following a bit of Chinese to enjoy first
  16. Good to see this meet still attracts a good turn out of Zeds and thanks for those posting the pics. Some real 'pride-n-joys' there along the length of Maderia Drive and have to say that Ford Pop looks utterly stunning. Sorry I couldn't along this year, but the pics ^^^ bring back good memories of this show in previous years.
  17. If you haven't got the owners manual, see pages 4.9 - 4.11 here that might help?: http://www.vadennissanservicecontracts.com/owners-manual/nissan/2007-Nissan-350Z.pdf
  18. Fully refurbished, as in how much extra bhp will they give
  19. Now I understand your username choice
  20. Do you intend to run around with minimal fuel in the tank as well? Sorry, but think you are going OTT with the weight saving - OK if you are going on track/racing then fair enough, but road use???
  21. Ebized

Noting your location, consider a little trip along the M4 to Horsham Developments for a diagnosis/tune. They are a respected trader on here with an excellent reputation for sorting out issues on Zeds (see their appreciation thread). I'm sure Jez will be able to resolve your issue to enable you to fully enjoy your car. https://h-dev.co.uk/?v=79cba1185463
