  1. One think I recently found out is which is not obviuos to the man on the street: If you buy an ex demo then does not count towards additional car sales as dealer cannot count it twice (once to dealership and once to customer) But on second-hand cars then it is seen as first time sale for that dealer. Therefore, find out if the dealer needs to have a min number of sales made this month/Qtr/Year and use the knowledge to get better price. Say the demo is more attractive, but if he reduced the second hand one it would swing the balance to that car. Worth a try, but if you are getting new then just get 3 quotes from dealers and show each of them broker pricing, Printout below link and take it with you. http://www.broker4cars.co.uk/nissan/new-nissan-350z.htm who say they can get £1600 off price for new.
  2. Welcome and you will love the Zed. You a vx220.org.uk chap then. Meet a few at LoT days. The Zed is heavy for track and bad on brakes for if you intend to take it out, I recommend New Fluid, braided lines and upgraded pads. See you at a meet sometime.
  3. The boot space would take a suit, just, and there is likely to be a spare set. You would be more likely to trash you shoes than suits as very little room down in the foot-well. However where there's a will, there's a way. I voted for conv G by the way.
  4. Tell BM you need a 48Hr test drive, that will see if they mean business. I think you should keep the G and get a Caterham CSR 260.....
  5. If you book direct for the noisy one on the 12th then £60 cheaper........ Book-a-track are good by the way used them before for Angelsey. PS I am only paying £5 more to do Le Mans Bugatti during July....that day does seem a little expensive.
  6. Volvo, Merc, VW and Audi are really boring. All tend to be diesel and slow. Jag, well its just an old mondeo. Mondeo, did look at but still to slow and the quick one will not be out for a little while. Otherwise it was close to top of list. I was either going to get 535d or 550 but worried about turbo's blowing up or the ease of resell for a 5 ltr petrol in 3 years time. 3 ltr petrol was a best compromise. Mine is 6.2 to 60 and I think still looks okay. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/download.php?id=2239
  7. Will not be long before I weight more than the car.
  8. Its a Radical and it will not be doing 200mph. Certainly not on those roads, and if it did do 200mph on a track would need different gearing. http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarr ... l_sr8.html
  9. Gents, Looking at the Donny site there does not seem to be the 27th Feb listed. Do we know if this has been cancelled, full up or was it not listed in the first place. Looking since really want to do a day with the boys here but during the week is a PITA, it is the end of Qtr AND End of Year so getting time off during the week is difficult. After 31st March would be easier for me during the week. The 3 hr drive up, drive all day then 3 hour drive back is a lot - means the day before and day after need to be near the office and not an early start or finish. (Sometimes have to drive up north)
  10. Your forget that the normal 7 driver is middle-aged with a spread to match, where as the average Exige is a wipper snapper lightweight (not to mention the speed responce of an 18 year to a 40 year old). But still it will always be lighter. Stupid for them to test with the hood on as plastic and poppers will never work at 120mph. She just did not want to mess her hair up, but she should really be wearing a helmet. As for the wet you know where I am coming from, after comments about you doing a spin recently and me not keen doing wet track days.
  11. Anyone on here use SwissVax BoS on a blade (closest colour to the 5). Will be getting it done with this and just like to know if its good as seems that everyone on detailing world think so.
  12. Looks like it still damaged on the left hand side.......GT4 wheels going for £250 a set and he want £500 for 1.....
  13. Did get a pm when said I would have one, but nothing recently.
  14. Chris Get the "devine" on here http://www.swissvax.co.uk/products/wax-products.asp Will make the car look good and will not increase your insurance premium.
  15. nooooo how often do I spam....Did keep it in other cars. Anyway I think everyone should admire the way a 7 "could" be driven. Will use PM next time I promise.
  16. The attitude of some people on the other channel did make it easier to go a differnet way, but honestly it was all down to towing the 7 about. If you can name a different car other than the 5 series that can tow, be less than 2-3 years old, is NOT a 4x4 or people carrier, be comfy etc. My wife is a midwife and everytime I had to tow the 7, it was unload her kit, load my kit, drive around in a 1800 SRi and then do the unload and reload thing and finally put the trailer back into the garage. At midnight in the rain this becomes a PITA. With the 5, I can just leave everything as is, so if you see a 5 touring with a set of 13 inch slicks, 13 inch wets, trolley jack, 2 x 20ltr gerry cans and a hole bunch of tools then that will be me, not being ar5e to unpack. May sound a bit odd, but there is a lot to be said about the new Mondeo as not bad car for the money. But they have not done a RS version yet so too late Ford. PS If I am at one of the meets then no probs about buying you a beer and food
  17. Gents Do not think you should judge a person by "what" they drive but "how" they drive. Sure must be decent people in Astras (when I drive the wifes car) and I have meet good people that are not gay or hairdressers that drive a TT. Trust me there is a great bunch of friendly people on BM club sites so I do not judge them by what they drive. I have also meet in the flesh and over the internet some complete and utter ar5eholes that drive a 350z and think they should have been put down at birth but I do not think the majority that drive a zed have this problem. Just my 2 cents worth
  18. Kev, What was the quickest......even with the aero drag of the roof and door falling off. Seems in the right hands (not mine) the car is a monster if it can beat an exige by 2.5 secs.
  19. The answer to this is just drivbe the car more often
  20. has hit the front as bumper falling off and lack of lights, looks like the drivers side has dropped lower than left, the driver rear wheel looks further down the car then the left one. Steering wheels straight or slightly left but front wheel is going right. And there smoke coming out the back. Should be "done" for describing it as a car and SCRAP. This will end up on the road and will kill the driver or damage other cars on its first emergency stop.
  21. Gents Do we know which day this is going to happen..... Beford is now OUT for me as noise limit is strictly imposed and now run a first strike and you are out policy. Therefore NO good for my car.
  22. Think I am drawn to lambo but the red fezza looks great too. Sorry you go to copy paste the full link as site software breaks up the link http://uk.search.cars.yahoo.com/bin/sea ... ds:Detroit)+Detroit)&b=1

    GT-R

Sky seem to think the big news story of the GTR is over. (lack of journo's intrested in it) http://motoring.sky.com/features/nissan ... troit.aspx I think it is still awesome, but if NMGB keep the delay for six month perhaps it will not be the big launch that it deserves.
