  1. Yeap but this is still the best place to find info and advice irrespective of what you want, motor related or not.
  2. Its hard to tell what to get but with my 20D I got a 70-200 f4 for distance shots and since an L then quick enough for motorsports. For landscape then use a canon 10-22 and a 50 f1.4 for fixed indoors works. If buying again would get the 70-200 f2.8 or 100-400 f4.5-5.6 L
  3. Gents, If your into vintage and/or race cars that come from Nissan "fill your boots" with this visual feast. http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.as ... id=2079707 (please forgive if a repost but they look great)
  4. But the day is at Brands, hence my comment on noise. Cannot see any Zed failing a noise test there.
  5. Just do french trackdays, simple. AFAIK they are not that anal, but if you do bend it and try to tow down the road then make a claim, then they would start searching the web for a "get out payout" card. Nissan etc are going to be too busy to check every track to see if people with warrenty problems have been tracking it. Remember there is 20+ tracks/airfield to visit so not worth their while going to all those.
  6. Would the club look at getting an exclusive 15mins. If so are other 2 seaters allowed to join in. PS Brands is not that strict on noise limits and I have the passed the test there.
  7. sorry could not be there, just no time off before april. Looks like you got the bug for it. If going for another one please please let me know.
  8. Be careful as he may ask for the club to pay him £35 just to put up with you. (I know we all deserve to get paid for it) PS phone going well, thanks
  9. How many arms to you lot have. I do not wear any jewellery not even a single watch or wedding ring so do not understand the expense.
  10. New York is great place. First time I went to the ESB then queue too big so went up World Trade tower instead. Went to revisit this time no tower present so went to the ESB, big mistake was to go first thing to miss the queue as its foggy in the morning, best to wait until lunch time when fog burnt off. IF you want a romantic place, trust me getting a rowing boat in "Central Park" is a must. Just surreal being calm, quite and surrounded by trees, wild birds and turtles. The you look up and see skyscrapers and the Dakota building. Zoo worth a visit as is Guggenheim. Night time bus trip to view Manhattan skyline is good as is a daytime trip in helicopter. A must is a cheapskate is the Staten Island ferry, just go over, go to baseball game (boring really) and take in the scenery, again surreal momemt as everything you see on TV is tight in front of you, Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline. Then get back onb ferry and have a look at Statue again. The place is just amazing, if you like comedy shows bars "off broadway" have many small time stand up and good places to eat. The only disappointment is a NY taxi, horrible, small inside and dirty. Best to just walk around.
  11. Shire No problem with being in as many clubs as you want, get the best of both worlds then. Just think you should have a reason before you part with cash. There is plenty of meets here, try to get to the Donny track day or Welsh run (similar idea to the National for getting lots of people together) as I think you will meet many from both sites (clubs), many visit both and enjoy both. Even a night out in London planned for here. Main thing is enjoy the car and the company.
  12. Shire NOT charging £35 does not mean this is not a club, if you can tell me what you get from another club but not here let me know. If you get enough interest here then you would be okay.
  13. I think he was doing well controlling it (until the off) Anyone on here keep it that sideways for that long.. To me it just says do not play sideways near sand, he just went too far.

    GT-R

So looks like it can be had for £50k.....so min 5-10k savings on UK model. Then if the stealers are going to rip us off for £80k then Ben has made himself a fortune. If only I had the money. The car looks great apart from the centre console that unfortunatley looks like its from the 80's but its SOOOOO NICE otherwise.

If the price in the States hit $250k then one place I will not able to afford to import from which cuts my chances in half. If the UK prices match the States dealers with mark ups then think the DTR might end as a red herring, with only the choose few getting one. IF it hits £80k for a UK model then I will be looking more at a porker if worried about it going wrong, or the JPN import makes even more sense as it would mean I could get the car imported, keep it for a year and sell with 10-20k profit which I would have to thank NMGB for. Cannot wait until next year to see what I can get one for and what someone sells an already imported one for, as may make more money on the GTR than the crummy stock market.
  16. They hoped it would have him, then it would free up TV time for decent entertainers.
  17. Do not worry the GTR thread will go on forever. PS is this Posting Whoring at a new level....no longer are they happy with the most posts, now they need to have "the most threads started" as well.
  18. Never found it in time but thought it worth letting you boys know. http://www.bimmian.com/elements/product ... 50Z-UK.com I wanted to add the "-UK.COM" onto the rear following the 350z that is already there.

Bobby, sure you are not a dealer, your sounding like one..... but I will take your word for it. The first import is always going to be more expensive simply because they can get away with it. But in 3-6 months there will be competition and the prices will fall as you can get them to bid against each other. as for the argument about HI IQ tech. That is likely getting factored into the JDM price, so if I import I am paying for a Japanese chap to get trained and not a UK one, well not worried there, if a UK "HI IQ Tech" could be trained for the same amount as a Japanese one then I would pay it as the price would drop for UK spec. As for ECU restrictions, there is already a MOD out to remove that so no problem there. As for Nissan chasing importer, well you said there is a white one in the country and there is pics on GTROC of another black one but not heard of any court cases yet. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/90910 ... ports.html (its just bollox that NMGB can stop it happening) As I have said I can get a race engineer to maintain my car so can get it fixed. I am not a lawyer but will be illegal for them not to sell parts to customers who did not buy the UK model as its called pricing fixing and anti-competitive, plus I could possibly get parts cheaper from the JPN or US and import those. And since they would be cheaper so will win again in terms of money. Last point on warrenty, I would be massively pi55ed if my £60k ish mota had to have much warrenty work done as my 350z did not have too much. PS Wonder if I had "LOW" IQ Techs working on my 350Z when it was serviced, just a thought.
  21. What Car are reporting it at j10-12 http://www.whatcar.com/news-article.aspx?NA=230818 So may be truth in it. Any one from Surrey remember where the variable camera's start-finish

    Wheel Spacers

Not sure about the Zed, but caterham north tried to tell spacers where goiing to be bad news for the car. Cannot exactly what is wrong but I was talking either 3mm non-balances spacers or 5mm balanced. Think 55mm must make it far worse. Also worth checking stud/bolt length with 55mm spacers. Try giving caterham a call, tell them you have a 2000 R400 and want to fit 5mm spacers to ensure the slicks do not rub, then see what they say. Will not talk bolloxs as they run race cars and race series so know what they are talking about. PS got both of my sets from Demon Tweaks, they tend not to be cheap but worth a call to see if they can beat the price you have.
