  1. Well took a couple of snaps today of the new mota. Not a Zed but my requirements changed and therefore now have something very different. sure will not be to everyone tastes but is mine.
  2. Would be interested in this but may be too wet (got no roof, windows or doors.), let me know where and when and I will say if I am in.
  3. Saturday. Just really needed the tow capability so off to BMW land I went. 530i, nowhere near as quick as the zed and more expensive but build quality is great so you pay your money you takes your chances.
  4. I am willing to do a joint session but with the cat as now have big wobbly estate .....
  5. Andy Walsh (carlimits) is one of the best, was a pro racer and now does the Lotus race series so if you want to see if he can practices what he preaches, their lots of opportunity to see, there is 10+ programmes of LoTRDC on google video or watch MotorsTV 10.30 this friday He does every kind of car and will teach how too push past your/your cars limit in a very safe way.
  6. Chris I too did exactly the same thing, find what you want on DPReview then buy on WarehouseExpress. Worked out really well. quote="Chris`I"]Keep an eye out for the Canon Outlet on eBay, they sometimes have some cracking deals. You do need to be weary of eBay, but I got a cracking deal on my 350D from there, about £150-£200 less than Jessops, and theres nothing wrong with it at all. Sorry mate, dont know much about Nikkons. DPReview is the best place. Have a look at WarehouseExpress to see what lenses exist then find reviews on DPReview to help decide.
  7. Glad to here you are okay. I would do the same if it was quiet, but if there was lots of traffic around I am sure I would have got and and possibly still got a kicking. Does make you think and I will be programming my mobile with a police number now.
  8. I got my 20d and wish I paid for the upgrade. Next thing I did was spend over £900 getting a better lens. The only time I use the cheap lens is when I do not bring the camera bag. Therefore whatever you get I would make it the best quality you can afford and and make sure it can fit in the case. possibly the 17-85 IS as that would cover a lot apart from low light motor sport.
  9. John Spotted you going past Benson airfield on Sunday, approx 12 Still looked clean even after that wind/storm
  10. Gents, Worth reading the first page of this as could happen to all of us, be careful when selling. http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... sc&start=0
  11. John there is some on here for £500 http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10608 If they have only do 20 miles then might be worth it just for the tyres.
  12. John, Since you raised the point, I was prohibited from standing for the post of chairman in the election. The post was removed from the election and then the decesion was given to allow the committee to elect that and the treasury post, so your wonderful club removed my rights to stand for the post I said I wanted too, even after taking my money that year. So please get your facts straight, ohhh yeah, I forgot your never asked why I did not stand/attend in the end, silly me, I forgot that gives you the right to pass judgement, but as I said we have free speech on here so you can say what you want.
  13. Digsy, do not post there on my account as will it likely just you more grief than you need/want but feel free if you do want to, I do not give a toss about them over there. Bap, As per normal thanks for being constructive. As I said, is my thoughts not your. I do not represent anyone else on here, just myself so if you have a problem with free speech just head back to the over controlled and censored world of the OC and I am sure you will not find I do not post there. As I said it is "MY" view Giles is in it for what he can get out of it, not THIS Owners Club view point.
  14. Congratulations and hope it was easily going. Really sorry about the theaving barstewards, but you will spend more in the next 18 years on your bundle of joy than you lost to them, so look on the bright side of things.
  15. Steve Just would not feel right NOT having a little dig. Sorry to other about it but got stay true to myself, Kev's okay but giles in it for what he can get, hence why he spend the 24hr race in the pits, possibly due to the OC sponsoring the RJN car. Just feeling sad that Nissan are not recognising this club for what it is, easily an equal to the OC and personally I think a better place. And who would not be jealous, honestly.
  16. Did giles offer the place to other members of the club or keep it for himself. Would imagine the "honourable" thing would be to auction it off to other members and give proceeds to charity OR do a unbiased draw from the paid members to let a lucky chap go rather than keep for himself. Well I am glad I did not pay £35 quid subs so someone else could go on an all expense paid trip, when they only need pay £25 themselves. Hope Kev is declaring it to the taxman as a "benifit in kind" if he is going to make money on any of the pics he takes. Not bitter and twisted really

Pingu, Did not expect it to hold the value as much as a super car, but honestly if you get yours priced up you will be shocked. When I got mine 3 yrs ago it was said to be one of the best residuals, well above Merc/BMW/Audi but that period seems to be over now. you live and learn and that is what life is all about. I did enjoy ownership and more importantly the people on here make me feel like it was a privilege to own one and be acquainted with fellow owners. Actually back on subject matter http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/news.php?sid=1298&page=1 Hope NMGB do not take the GTR owner for granted as they have with the Zed and try to give you a Micra whilst you get warrenty work carried out.
  19. Considering how close Lyneham and Brize flight paths are, then they are taking the P. And how close is it to the M4. Need to get a life these people and understand that it was an airfield before they were born and then turned into motorsport venue, noise limit have reduced the capability to host most events including my 7, therefore this gets my vote.

    Scumball car

looks great for the money. And surely it will be one of the most comfy rides on the trip. Word of caution, be careful not to make the paint too outrageous as foreign police are clamping down big style on this kind of thing and issuing big fines.

Sarnie you do not know how true this is. Sorry to break bad news, anyone who thinks the 350z is holding its money I suggest one thing as a sanity check. Take your car (anything over 12 months old) in to the local Nissan dealer and as how much he will give you for cash it, as you need to buy a different mark. Trust me you will be very very shocked at what you get offered. If you think they will give you less because your are moving away from Nissan then its not true as if you are genuinely going to another maker, ie, BMW, AUDI etc then they will not sell yours, only phone up Nissan garage and see what they offer the car, then use that for the cost to change. Nissan will give the lowest figure as they have not seen the actual car so use the lowest figure to reduce the risk. PS this is not only my car but anything that is over 12 months old and you will see that it is probably over 3-5k different to what you think you would get. I have loved the car but need something different now and was living in blissful ignorance of its worth.

Do not think I would count it as supper car, my definition is that a super car cost twice as much as its worth. Just cannot seeing too many people coming out of porkers, lambo and 430 etc to a Nissan badge. However I do think there will be a very long line of people that want VALUE for MONEY, me included as will be very tempted to import a 2 year old one from Japan when the time comes. No warranty but the price should be approx £30k and that just makes it impossible to refuse. And I would not have to deal with the shambles that NMGB are. And I know independents that could service anything up to full blown GT teams. The truth is we will be able to tell if its in demand when people are paying list plus 30% just to beat the queue, as in the R8 case, do not think som but happy to be proved wrong.
  23. You know where I go....and book before the 1st and get it for £160. Hint, there will be one or two lotus there.
  24. I am sure if I get the answer to the first then there will be a second one, however if there is not an answer to the first then there will not be a second.
