  1. Im pretty sure there is adapters that allow installation into the cubby, but im sure someone will be along to confirm/deny this. R don't worry i gave in in the end and ordered the retractable cubby from JDM, just trying to work out if i should fork out for a new headunit to give the 2 screen look. have my eye on the pioneer 3100dvd at £350 looks good especially as i already have the Pioneer Avic F500bt for satnav.
  2. this is the one i got http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_de ... odID=57881
  3. have just gone and bought the retractable cubby from JDM performance, so will be fitting the F500bt into this. I noticed on the website it seems to have a cable out of it and refers to a motorized mechanism, does this mean it could be set up to open when the car is turned on, if so, does anyone know how to do this?
  4. am thinking of doing something similar, have the f500 for my cubby, but am thiniking of putting the pioneer 3100dvd in replace of the bose headunit. this has been an extremly useful post. just need to source something to hold the f500 in place where the cubby was. do you think that a double din facia would fit in the place where the cubby was?
  5. if you have the kit waiting to fit, does it by any chance have any extra fittings with it, as when i was helping Ekona the only things we found with it were 2 washers for spacing one of the braces.
  6. To save on postage and time, I could offer myself as a courier. I could take the nuts off the Chilli's at Bluewater and then pop them round yours on Monday evening on my way back from work after my dayshift (about 7pm-ish) Unless of course you want me to pop round on the Sunday night, but your neighbours might not be so grateful (K1 bungs out and all that jazz) if you could act as courier that would be grand, not sure what time i'll be back tomorrow night, but monday would be great. i'll have to sort out payment over the phone with the chillis, or arrange paypal, cheque or something with them
  7. sorry guys, i'm not going to be able to make this one, have an emergency else where to attend to. sorry to let people down, but i'm needed else where tomorrow. jerry, speak to the others they will help you remove the rear strut cover, let meknow when your ready to post, and ill give you my address. chilli's really sorry i won;t be able to meet you both, is it possible that my nuts/bolts and washers could be posted out to me please, thanks again in advance.

  11. team AFM are a touring car team ,who also as their day jobs run and work in a bodyshop and also run a garage specifically designed at performance cars and track car setups. they are one of the worst advertised companies in the world. there website is tempremental, they are on my door stepp and i didn't even know about them. i have used there body shop and they are very good. but i don't konw what their garage is like, i belive they have hadsome dealings with the Zed as apparently they set one up for track days. have a look on their website to find out more. as for the other garage they have been featured in maxpower, fast car etc for building show cars, think they built a twin engined beast a while back.
  12. agreed, i bet if you look in the current O2 sensor it probably requires something like an anti fowler, just to lift the sensor out abit. as the increased airflow is more than it can deal with
  13. i'd get your own OBDII software for a laptop, might work out cheaper than going to nissan everytime.
  14. i believe the falkens are meant to be quite good for quite road noise.
  15. i won't use glyn hopkins out of principal from the bad service i recieved in there ipswich branch
  16. WTF! that must be extortion! The wing is removed to replace the bulb my bulb has gone, but i thought i had to just remove the wheel arch lining, god those nissan techicians are a bunch of div's. note to self don't use that dealership
  17. possibly a dodgy relay, when the door opens it is not activating the switch to drop it. where they are located and how to fix them is another issue, and one i can't answer. i think there is a box of tricks in the door which is the control unit for the window, maybie swapping that out might fix the problem, but my limited knowledge on electronics in the Zed mean i'm not sure whats what and where to find it. i'm guessing a bit of investigation with a multimeter should find the connection issue. it could also be a loose connection or wire. it might be worth taking the trim off and having a look to see if anything is loose
  18. ther is team AFM in martlesham, ithink they do servicing, and deal with perofrmance cars, but don't know what there prices are like, i can try and find out if you like, there was another place in ipswich that i use which are good, and used to build cutom sports cars, was supposed to be getting a quote from them as well, but need to give them a bell to find out.
  19. easiest test to find out if you have LSD is to take your car out to a quite country road, place the car so that the left side is on a gravelly or muddy or loose surface, and the other is on tarmac. then pull away hard, if i remember correctly a car with LSD should pull away straight with no tugs on the steering wheel. the one with out LSD should veer slightly as one side is grabbing for traction while the other has it. correct me if i'm wrong but that should be a fairly good indication.
  20. only just seenthis, got mine mot'd last week, £54
  21. there used to be one which was part of an automatic door opening system the sensor was designed so that when you pulled up at your garage the sensor would open the door for you. it had the added advantage that it also scrambled police speed guns and made them read 0mph. was apparenly completely legal as long as you could prove you had the automtic garage door. as some people were fitting the sensor but had no garage. i remember it being on fith gear donkeys yonks ago. don't know if this system is stil out there
  22. i'll be heading up from suffolk on the sunday hopefully, i'm guessing the only cross over point would be somewhere like birmingham. if you wanted to follow me up.
  23. don't worry i should be coming up on the sunday morning so will pick M350ZB up if he's lagged behind some where near birmingham Cheeky cheeky, what time you leaving sun morning bud ? ? ? don't know yet, haven't worked it out, hopefully earlier enough to get me there with plenty of time to spare at the other end. if your wanting to convoy, i'm happy to tailor in with you.
