  1. its not that far a drive from sweden, jeremyy clarkson did it on top gear
  2. the scorpion is a nice bit of kit, but i saw them fit one down at DMS and there was still an issue with alignment. nothing a fitter can't fix, but they had to remove it and reshape one of the mounts. so not one for DIY fitting. but once on it did look very nice. i think on par sound wise to the nismo, not too loud, but enough to notice a difference.
  3. both have just pinged up again, have tried adding heat into the equation as well as sitting heavy objects on them and leaving them. if that doesn't work then the little fekers are going to meet my friend sicaflex tigerseal. the strongest bonding agent known to man
  4. i think the too lyour refering too is a stud extractor. easiest methd is to drill out the original, the whole has to be smaller than the original thread. and then use a tap to retap a new thread (lclean out the old thread) ready to screw the new ariel back in. if your worried about paint work just mask up a load of towels around where your working to give you a protective boundary.
  5. update, got one on, got the old lighter fluid out and gave it a rub down with that, pulled off all the no nails cack, used normal double sided tape, but covered the whole thing has worked a treat, am just doing the second one now.
  6. you forgot the wheel centres off the list when you took yourself off the second chart
  7. i gave them a through wipe down with a cleaning cloth. buth there seems to be a greasy residue on the surface, feels a bit like oil
  8. This may sould silly but i can't get mine to stick on. i bought some carbon fibre covers from M350ZB, nothing wrong with them product is fine, what i need help with is how to attatch them. i've just tried no more nails super strong doublesided adhesion tape. it sticks fine to the CF but just won't grip to the original plastic covers. and this stuff is far more sticky than your average 3M tape. so what have other people used? should i just go and order some Tiger seal adhesive and make them permenant? and bond them on so they never come off?
  9. i find parkers online guides not to bad, most dealerships use glasses guide prices. both of these can be accessed online
  10. if the cubby is a different colour which it may be with mine as well i am just going to send my dash off to paul at Dream customz how will skin it in a carbon fibre cloth. its not true carbon, but looks dam close.
  11. The chrome paint from b&q advised not to use laquer on it as it dulls the finish, but its probably not designed for outdoor use. R you might be right, have a search on paints4u.com and see what they have. if you email them they are very helpful tell them what your trying to do, send them a picture and they'll probably recommend something for you.
  12. i had the same problem drawn a complete blank for any kind of pictures. i'm hoping mine is due at the end of this week. i'll take pitures of the new item from the rear as a reference point as i won't get round to fitting it for a few weeks. with the pic of the new unit from behind you should be able to dismantle your own dash and see if it fits. will send you the measuremnt s between fixing points if that helps
  13. I take it you didnt read all my post then... I said im going to ask you for some Nissan decals in black for them. I cant put brembo in them saing as they're standard JDM brakes! ...I just need to wait for the weather to get better then i can go out and measure what sizes i need! just kinda flicked through and looked at the pretty pictures
  14. without laquer it will go the way of the dodo real quick. all metallic paints need laquer. Will halfrauds do both Gun metal coloured spray paint and laquer? Is the laquer spray on? or paint on..? best place for paints is www.paints4u.com halfruads is ok, i'd use a white plastic primer, silver/chrome paint and standard laquer. total cost about £20 if you include wet and dry paper
  15. first one is same as the K1 and buy the time you pay shipping costs to the uk and import duty it will probably cost you more. you can get it delivered to yuor house from CS for about £360 and the HKS one is a copy, but there not ripples in the metal there grease prints from where people have been handling them. again there in the UK for less, but factor in fitting as it will need modifying. as for life expectancy, you get what you pay for, it may not last as long as the real HKS but it will probably do the same job. think of it as a performance exhaust built from standard materials i would say after 6 years it might need replacing or repairing.

  17. no reason why not at least on the rear one trying to work out what the sides would look like black on a black background, you'd only see the zed outline, might work well Rear badge 1. Jay 2. hotrain 3. Scottsoulby 4. M350ZB 5. JT1703 6. Lexx 7.Jim 8. Blacky (black Zed) Side wing badges (carbon fibre background/gloss black/no background/something else) 1. Stew (gloss black) 2. hotrain (CF) 3. M350ZB (CF) 4. JT1703 (CF) 5. Blacky (black logo) front nose badge (carbon fibre background/gloss black/no background/something else) 1. hotrain (CF to fit indent) 2. 3. Wheel centres 1. M350ZB 2. Zazur 3.
  18. i can do you a nice set of brembo decals for your calipers as well viewtopic.php?f=32&t=20459&start=0
  19. hasn't arrived yet, ordered it and got an email saying they had non in stock so woulld have to order it in from japan, should take about 2 weeks from day of ordering, and then how ever long to post from uk to me. i think it should fit fine, but i think that it won't fit the facelift 350z. although mine is an 06 its technically an 05 that wasn't registered till 06 so i have the old style attatchemnts behind the cubby. i think it changed for the updated version but i could be wrong, my friend ekona looked into it but aparently the fixings are different. maybe someone else could back that up?
  20. if i'd had the sapre cash i'd have had it, polished it and then sold my old one on for the same price to someone else so that it would have only cost me the materials to polish. and then some one else could have done the same. will have to wait till the next one pops up and i don't need to spend cash on other things like HID bulbs and birthdays
  21. is this going to be the floating plenum? i.e. when alex finishes with it he'll sell his old one etc so people will have a spare to work on so the car doesn't need to be taken off the road. or does ZmanAlex have other ideas
