  1. i have similar tyre tread on mine and its fine. just take it steady in the wet
  2. when i farm in the summer my boss uses the nissan navara, got it last year and a very good piece of kit, its one of the older shape ones but still very capable. Ekona on here has a 4x4 pickup for his work, i think its the ford version, but not sure what, he'll probably be able to give you the heads up on it.
  3. still think the mk1 supra is a good bet http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1989-TOYOTA-SUPRA ... 1|294%3A50 if i did rallying i'd have a mk1 escort done out in proper rally slag getup. the capri is a good option, and great fun. the old carltons are good, also tuned up old mini's my mate has one for track days with a 2 litre vauxhall engine in it and it out accelerates the Zed easily. as it weighs bugger all, parts are easy and cheap to come by and they're great to drive.

  6. My mate picked up an old mk1 supra for around £400 that had a big engine as was a solid car
  7. sorry people your getting the posts as i think looking at the pictures the connectors i have, none of them would fit in the back of this pioneer headunit either http://www.pioneer.eu/images/products/c ... _large.jpg do i need to go and see a professional fitter and see what they say?
  8. mr2 mk2 are pretty bullet proof, as long as well maintained, if you get the turbo version its mucho fun
  9. on the pacoem in this post what is the white connector on the end is it the same as the big block in this picture
  10. was just about to post and say if i changed my headunit to the 3100DVD it has the right connectors in the back, all i would need then is a 350z to iso connector. the question is if i do this normally changing out the headunit you would use the pacroem thing to keep steering wheel controls, how would that fit nto the link i presume it would go between the 350z to iso connector???
  11. this is all foreign to me, i just need help wiring it all up
  12. here is the wiring guide for the amp and the unit
  13. http://www.pioneer.eu/images/products/c ... _large.jpg this pic shows the back of the AVHP 3100DVD and it has a slot that would take the 2 smaller plugs from the harness so this must mean i need to find a harness adapter of some kind to plug into the back of the unit
  14. price as of yet i don't know but i would guess no more than £35, but thats going on a previous GB i did for a different logo on a different forum, it may be cheaper, it depends on material used and time taken. as for finished prototypes. i'll be seeing him next monday, so should have something tangiable by mid way next week. which reminds me M350ZB could really do with that rubbing put in the post, i'm leaving on saturday morning for something else and then heading from there tup north. would really like to take it with me. there could be a little discount involved if you get it to me or a couple of beers in it at the next meet.
  15. really want this game have looked at it for ages, if game are doing it for £15 i might have to buy it

looks good, thats what i was going to do with my nismo kit when i get it painted ya beat me too it, looks like i'm going to have to adjust my plan slightly (was also going to do eyebrows as well) at least i know i share great tastes with someone else as well
  17. didn't buy any cable this is part of the wiring harness for the SatNav the satnav is as thick as a screen but has built in GPS, AV capability, SD card SLot, Bluetooth phone, Video, Ipod connectivity etc and all runs through a tiny piggy back Amp that gets put somewhere else. there are cables from the unit to the amp and then from the amp to the car. i'll try and find the wireing diagram online after dinner and post it up
  18. right its head ache time, got my dash disassembled which was aneasy job but my next head ache was working out connectors. here is the rear of the unit as you can see the connectors in the rear now here is the problem here are my connectors as you can see they dont match. now my guess work as deduced that the two identical connectors (from the satnav) should plug into the headunit and that the ones from the headunit which theortically should be identical to the ones on the satnav loom should plug into the really big block that is on the satnav loom. so that the satnav and mini amp ity comes with work like a piggy back on the headunit. but i cant see how i'm going to do it
  19. the link at the top of the first page has stopped working, it only goes to the club home page, have you removed it to corner the market
  20. i could be interested in this, i think i am scrapping my F500 plans as its just to much work to get it in place. i already have a suitable cubby as i bought it for my current project so would be interested to know what the revised price would be
  21. oooh that camp 2 looks like it would plug and playt directly into the satnav i have a project for later on i think. just got to get it running in my car first and then modify the cubby to make it look factory fit. then i can think about palying with the camp 2
  22. you guys haven'ty drunk nearly enough, at university we had to use shopping trollies to get rid of the cans, one night we had enough to bouid a beercan arm chair
  23. i suppose before i cut into anything is i need to go and test fit both parts, as yet i don't know how the unit is going to work in the car, and if it will connect properly into the bose. if it does work, then i suppose i could cut into the cubby the sides would still be attatched through the roof of the cubby (not the lid itself but an internal roof) i could add 2 strengthening bars to put the support back in. the only problem is i would have to remove the sides but leave the guide tracks in place with out damaging them, and i would still need to work out how to keep the unit in place so it doesn't fall out. i think a dremmel may have to be purchased.
  24. i contemplated it, but i wanted to keep the cubby door etc.
  25. ok this is a follow on from the cubby i have just bought, nothing wrong with it as its a nice piece of kit, matches the interior perfectly. my problem is that my sat nave is too wide by 4mm its so close to fitting but yet so far here is my satnav and here it is sat ontop of instead of in the cubby and here is a close up showing by just how much, its litterally the thickness of the plastic i've been racking my brains on how to get round it. i cant dismantle the unit as there are connector slots and dials and switches on the front. i cant cut the sides out completely as i'd cut through the guide rails for the lid and the lid wouldn't work, and i'd also seriosly weaken the box. but i have been looking at the unit itself. the amount of plastic i would need to loose is exactly the thickness of a lip that runs round the outside, see exibit below how safe do you think it would be to sand off 2 mm from each side? one side has a little led bit on ot, but you'd never see it once the units in, and all the sides are hidden in the back. i was just contemplating taking the power sander to it, does anyone else have any better ideas?
