  1. Had this fitted before christmas, but only just got round to taking some pictures, were a bit rushed as the weather was just turning and it was snowing 10 minutes later. but for now these will have to do. As with the body kit i had the work carried out by TEAM AFM they had to repair it first as the base had cracked during transportation. i know its not to everyones taste but i like it. i also know i need to balance out the darkness of the blade around the car. i already have spare door handles ready to paint. and hopefully sometime this year i'll get the wheels refurbed to match as well.
  2. this is how i have mine mounted at the moment didn't get chance t get properly under the car to have a look for a flat spot. if memory serves me right their is a rubber/plastic aero lip that runs underneath the bumper which would be in the way. but that can be easily modified. my plan is if i can't mount it direct to the undertray then i'll fabricate up a bracket for it to mount on to. if someone has a picture of the undereneath of the front of the car it would be helpful
  3. if you have their advert then you have some proof. if your happy with the car and like it, then the only thing left to settle is the difference in price. you need to find an average price for imports of that standard and mileage etc. also take into account that they'll swap the dials round, that isn't cheap, if i remember rightly they are a bit pricey (could be wrong; check with zmanalex or R35LEE) then you'll need to negoatiate the middle ground with them to where you settle. this is all of course if trading standards decide to follow it up and push them to compensate. if they don't your on your own.
  4. camskills were the cheapest i found for tyres both on those and the tyres i use.
  5. i have one, got it 2nd hand from a member, but he got it origianlly from envy.
  6. dont know, i need to go do some measuring
  7. got a reply from them Richard, the bracket attatches to the bottom of the bumper with 4 screws. You need a flat spot around 3" wide by 9" long from the bottom front edge of the bumper. Keep in mind that it will add about 1.5" to the bottom when retracted, so if you are already low, you may scrape. Shipping to the UK is an additional $25. To order, just give me a call at the shop tomorrow and I'll process it over the phone,
  8. as far as i can tell it just sits under the car.
  9. good piece of work, the lathe in my workshop is a piece of crap, it doesn't run true. and the school won't upgrade it as the kids never really use it. its fine for what they do, but not as precise as i want it for anything i do
  10. i enjoyed it, but know what you mean. for me tennant was the dr, am intrigued to see how the new boy gets on.
  11. this is the issue i have, love the exterior, early versions the interior was very questionable don't think the 8's were too bad.
  12. i'm in the same box as shire. i like evos but don't know the model differences etc.
  13. i'd be interested to see pics of the evo, especially inside, know very little about them.
  14. jerry was yours the same code, and have you fitted anti foulers
  15. i did a temporary fix with my nismo i cut down my plate and mounted it onto a plastic block that fits perfectly onto the centre square. my plan is to do a retractable jobbie like this http://www.swiftmotorsports.com/product ... e771cba318 so i can then put a nice red tow hook eye in the front.
  16. shouldn't be a hugr issue if you paid import price for it. i'm more concerned that the garage sold you it and advertised it as something else. and with mixed advertising, is everything else as it should be. if its an import, why is it showing up as a UK car. did you HPI check it? never hear dof that garage, so i don't know what their reputation is like.
  17. doesn't have leather, which martin pointed out to me, so maybe not a GT spec
  18. doesn't seem to have the little lip spoiler on the boot either which was a GT spec thing (i think, am known to be wrong, ask martinmac )
  19. need pictures of your car to give you a better idea. bumpers can be changed, as can badges(which are normally attatched to the bumpers) you can get replacement dials, but my guess is it might be a replacement drivers dial unit. i don't know, seems like a lot of effort to change and then not do the centre dials. bit perplexing this one?
  20. shame i don't work at chelmer anymore we had a rapid prototyper there.
  21. then its not a UK car you got, thats an import
  22. well done mate, great choice of colour
