  6. no fake trees here. xmas 2009 = away at parents for most of it; no tree xmas 2008 = on honeymoon in the maldives; no tree xmas 2007 = first xmas together. both had xmas at parents; no tree xmas 2006= lived at home but all went away for xmas; no tree xmas 2005= can't remember xmas 2004= away at ex girlfirends for xmas; no tree xmas 2003= away at uni only popped back for xmas; no tree
  7. i saved on needles by not letting my wife have a christmas tree been needle free since 2003
  8. the tape deck is extremly useful as a cheap ipod connector. i use one of those tape converter things and get pristine sound quality out of it.
  9. i've found that clean snow like that works wonders for cleaning the car. it tends to take the dirt with it when it melts off in large chunks. my long drive up to york with all the slush i found that the whole car was filthy apart from the rear wheels which looked pristinly clean as the slush had cleaned them as i'd gone
  10. not sure about them, but if i was to upgrade the speakers in the zed i'd stick rainbow speakers in. always been told they have outstanding quality to the sound.
  11. i'm the same, not really struggled with the sessantas on. as long as your in the right gear and use very little power its not been an issue. agreed they are a summer tyre, but with the single slash design and the wide groove its like driving tank tracks in the snow.
  12. i teach in mm, but am impressed that my year 11's often work in inches, when they want material. i encourage multi-numeric techniques. i love the way we're mean to be a decimal nation, yet we still sell copper pipes in inches for the guage, but metres for the length, we measure distance in miles and fuel economy in mpg, but buy our fuel in litres. i love our quirky nations use of measurments. does make me laugh, i remember hearing about a project with i think NASA building rocket parts in the uk. the brits were sending drawings in metric, but the yanks were building in imperial. apparently it was a monumental c0ck up that cost alot of moeny when they realsied the parts didn't fit
  13. makes for a depressing but real read sadly. this is such an infuriating government
  14. i teach technology and i teach in mm, its not at my end that the c0ckups coming from. i blame the science teachers. i think they measure everything in cm.
  15. some good work their well done i'm not so embarrassed to use small text, i talk to my car to
  16. i believe you take the power from the lights.
  17. fiddy do you run a jwt pop charger filter, but in the typhoon box and pipe work?
  18. thats quite a chunky tap you'll need, most kits i think only tend to go up to about 12mm. i'll have a look at work but i don't think i have something that big. possibly closest is about 15mm. i think your going to need ot order one. i want to order my own set for home use, but not got round to it yet. try screw fix might be able to buy them singular.
  19. its like drugs when it comes to nissan servicing/maintainence "just say no!" i bet your total expenditure on this will be about £10 for lubricante. this website just saved you £1300 not bad for a night work. worst case scenerio is you have to make a trip to abbey, and thats not going to break the bank.
  20. your still £4k short for the rest of the super charger, and thats only if you can fit it yourself. i tend to look for the newest lowest mileage i can find. nothing wrong with the older ones but thats just me. i suppose the the OP the only thing to say is good luck in your searcha dn try and find yourself the best example possible for the best price.
  21. i don't think your not that far from abbey motorsport. there are several based round the m25 area also DMS are near the dartford crossing/brandshatch area. both are worth travelling for as both are very experienced with the Zeds you'll probably find you don't need a new throttle body, i think i had that code once. possibly set off when you had the filter fitted, they may have knocked the throttle body, the butterfly valve is very sensitive and doesn't like to be disturbed. i'd do a throttle posisition reset and an ECU reset and then see how you get on.
  22. after its been remapped, i'd go for mine all fair points. and luckily i don't have to think of them as i'm neither selling or buying.
