  1. Absolutely stunning, miles more charismatic standing still than a Cayman is moving. Look forward to your observations about how the 370z compares with the 350z.
  2. Thanks guys, appreciate the replies! Looks like I've got some options that don't involve selling a kidney to Nissan...
  3. Thanks for that - I'm in SW London - My logic was that if it needs the part and its the bulk of the bill then its just an hour labour to fit so a specialist wouldn't add value as they'll have to buy the part from Nissan too. Any suggestions for someone in SW London? Cheers!
  4. Hi, I've recently had the p3 service at a Nissan main dealer and I asked they replace the standard air filter with the nismo replacement part which was done along with a clean of the fuel injectors. She's done 26000 miles and a 2005 GT4 car. A week later the engine warning light came on and the dealer reset the ecu and said that I may have to have the sensor replaced if it came on again,2 weeks later it came on just before Christmas. The cars running fine, perhaps a little more growly at idle which levels off but that may be down to the freezing weather. I took the car back to the dealer today and a GT-R performance qualified tech diagnosed that I would need a new throttle body. The fault on both times was P2135 TP Sensor. I've been quoted £1300 for the part plus another £80-100 labour. My question is, is there any way to avoid / reduce this big bill considering its already had a reset been looked at before? Any advice appreciated!
  5. I had mine refurb'd in Ruislip which I'd recommend - http://www.littleknocks.co.uk - They were up front, saying that the GT4 wheels had a black undercoat and needed more time to get right than regular alloys and showed me the differences between the 2. All in all, it was £345 inc. VAT and 3 days off the road. I ended up booking it in at v.short notice and it was 5 days off the road and great service all the way. 1 of the owners had a new GT-R out front and 1 of the mechanics has a Fairlady, so they are used to seeing cars like the 350z.
  6. Hi, I'm the owner of 19/176 Kuro Black.
  7. Ha ha - yes its partly me being a bit of a tart, but then its a bit like spending £££ on carbon bits decorating the engine bay and not adding anything to the car that anyone sees. At least theres a security element to a locking fuel cap (he said reaching), besides I'm a quarter chav on me dads side....
  8. Thanks guys - My flaps fine it's just that the flap's not the most secure thing even if it does lock from the inside and it'd be good to have a cool looking , locking cap maybe chrome or aluminium rather than the plastic one hiding behind the locking flap...been looking with no joy, surprised theres no aftermarket option.Argh.
  9. Can anyone help? I've been looking for a lockable fuel cap, ideally something that looks good too, but for some reason they seem hard to find - has anyone replaced their standard fuel cap? Thoughts / comments appreciated!
  10. BAD / TEDIOUS - I rang Bishops in Guildford 3 times in Oct 09 and each time they promised someone would returned my call but never did. More than that, what put me off was that each time I had to ring them back and mentioned that someone was due to call me back but never did, the person on the other end of the line didn't even apologise for their colleague and continued on talking as if I hadn't brought it up! Its a small thing, but to me is an indicator of any companies customer service. I also enquired about a drop in replacement Nismo air filter and was told they aren't a regular item so Nissan dealers don't stock them anymore with this, plus the lack of phone courtesy above I cancelled my service with them and went elsewhere. GOOD - WLMG in Hanwell had the Nismo air filter in stock, booked in for P3 service , MOT and Nismo air filter and other small bits'n bobs came to £562.72 hassle free with great service, sat in the 370z (v.v.nice but not enough of a leap to tempt me out of the 350z for a while - I think that's the GT-R's job!), the Service Manager knew cars and not just Nissan's and what he was talking about and the mechanic was friendly too. I waited a bit longer than expected, but all jobs were done well and all i's dotted and t's crossed properly.
