  1. some stunners in there as well though some of the mazda jobbies are very interesting. the mazda 500 i like a lot for some reason, or at least the front view.
  2. can i ask why such negativity on this zed.? sorry for going off your topic. overpriced, and badly advertised giving facts that are not true and un supported. how a fail side kit and an air intake can add 70 odd Bhp is laughable. not only that as paul said he's messed a few peopel about.
  3. paint can make a big difference depending on what they use and how they use it. if it has a good thickness and a good laquer and are done a low bake (low temp to set the paint; same as in a bodyshop) then 3 years seems reasonable. at that price you can;t complain.
  4. not for me husky; sounds bloody aweful, i prefer rally gear boxes
  5. thats a bit of a bastad move. thats like telling your mate you fancy this girl, and them going off and shagging them the night before your first date. if it is the white one tell him he's bought a sh1t one
  6. some intersting ideas, definetly has imagination. skills used aren't impossible, he just has the ideas and the time and patience. he has definetly perfected the carbon skinning skills though as that is a pig of a job. just goes to prove practice amkes perfect. i go tto about page 40 and got bored. his missus is hot though.
  7. my guess is its a build up or road tar and brake dust. i got tar spots on my old wheels from newly surfaced roads, but they came off with a lot of elbow grease and a claybar. only a couple were imoveable. quite how you have that much is a suprise.have you tried bilburry? worst case scenario is a wheel refurb. if you don't clean wheels regularly they will build up the crap and then it becomes very hard to remove some stuff.
  8. strip to stock for easiest sale.
  9. as far as i was aware powder coating is far more durable than wet paint because its harder. wet paint was always an option if you couldn't get them powder coating. wet paint is also the reason why the wheels bubble up so badly on stock wheels as thwy aren't protected enough. and why alot of stock rims have to be refurbished in the first place.
  10. oh then no worries, my old one is a lot more than that.
  11. whats your budget, my old Zed is up for sale at the place i traded it in at.
  12. best answer for a repair is a bodyshop and a respray on that panel. if you don't have or know a body shop then someone like chips away will do a good job. it won't be as good as a respray, but once repiared using smart repair technology they are almost impossible to find. my inlaws had a smart repair done and it was good.
  13. reminds me i was going to look at moulds, never got round to it oops
  14. my weather report only goes to monday and nothing is showing up on that for ipswich?
  15. i really like the bini offroader, wouldn't have one, but i like the cheekyness of the whole range and the ease of modding them. if you love that, you'll love the new mini coupe due for release hopefully next year. its similiar to the pug RCZ jobbie, but mini style. and it uses the same engine. 1.6 turbo
  16. i got the point of this is a club feature; currently its volvo but if you send us stuff too it could be your club as well. great idea; possibly could have been put across sliughtly differently glad you guys have a sense of humour. i'm sure this club will have lots to add; they ar every chatty and busy bunch
  17. Guess which insurance companys name is at the top of my cover note???? thats right its admiral Sorry CK but i couldn't resist You guys do offer Good rates
  18. Professionally fitted not always, i had my wing mirrors done by a "pro" wouldnt do it again. some shapes and angles, especially if small can be an arse to wrap. and keep down as it would seem. my guess is not enough heat or too much on the vinyl. both can have an effect. Rich we were talking about Colin's in particular sorry hugh. forgot to add that the mirrors peeled like that as well. i actually missed the important bit off the message

  20. try dropping the pressure maybe a tad below oem reccomendation. i'm trying them out on my S2000, but the advantage i have is i'm running a lower profile and a wider tyre than the OEm rays on the Zed. plus it being a lighter car, its felt very good. i also had a full hawkeye alignment done and had some corrections done. i would agree that the steering was lighter slightly, but i only gained the extra turning after the alignment. but i also gained better feedback through the car. and am alot more aware of what each corner is doing. still need some more milage on them and then maybe a good back road jolly before i review them fully. i have found that the wet weather performance is good on the falkens. and it has been very planted in heavy rain when follwing the big dawg and tarmac overall for value for money and what they offer i'm very pleased.
  21. i've fixed crash damaged bodykits before your best bet is to bond in some thin stainless struts to hold the 2 parts together, depending on the gap size (more than about 10mm) i would also use some tiny aluminium mesh (can be found in halfrauds in the repair section.) basically put the mesh over the struts to give you a solid surface to bond filler on to. then fiber glass over the whole lot on the inside. if the gap is only tiny use something like filler , if its bigger use something like isopon p45. sand and fill with a fine body filler, more sanding and filling etc etc. thats the diy job, a proper bodyshop would trim back the layers of fibre glass in a step pattern then fill and cross lay between them and finish with gel coating top. dpending o the break, they might brace as well. and also layer up behind.
  22. in all honest if your doing an airfield day propely you'll hardly burn any of the tyre off. at most 1 mm. on the other hand if you spend the day deliberalty spinning out and trying to power slide and the tyres spend most of their time lit up then yes you should hopefully see the canvas in the tyre

    centre caps

wheel off to pop out jobbie. you could try and prise them out but you run a very high risk of damaging the wheel
