  1. Messing around in the back garden with my Sakura tree.
  2. Honey colour lube could be power steering fluid or brake fluid. Brake fluid eats paint, so you'll know if its that.
  3. Ac's use PAG oil, it's changed with a regas. The green stuff will be tracer dye used to find minor leaks under black light.
  4. I may not make this one now due to a family emergency and needing to be supportive to my wife. I won't be doing any forum wear either for a little while (the details on the shop threads). Still going to japfest though, so hopefully will see some of you there.
  5. I'll check with the SO and see how I get on with my fan motors. Like last time I may meet up, have a chat and a bit of a drive before heading home.
  6. When I had my Mitsi Colt, I fitted a set of spot lights that I wanted to be used as front fogs, but rather that fit a switch in the dashboard I used the rear fog light as the switch. Essentially you need to cut a wire going in to the sidelight bulb and fit a relay between it, this will act as a switch so that when there is power to the sidelights there will be power to the footwell lights. I personally would use a tail light wire as they are already contained within the shell and its easier to lay down wires if they are starting from inside already. Relays are dead cheap to get hold of and normally come with the wiring diagram, but I'd fit a fuse between the relay and your interior lights as a precaution. A dimmer switch is a good idea as blobbish suggested.
  7. I think that's a separate part, it's your steering wheel control adapter normally purchased separately.
  8. 2 weeks in, and despite seeing more police than I usually do and even having to over take one doing 40 in a 50, I've so far been left alone. So I decided to wrap some interior bits too. I need to sort my driver's seat now as that looks a little worn.

Any warning lights or anything? Some diagnostics can give live data from the sensors, that'll give an indication of whether there's an issue or not.
  10. April sounds good, work is a bit quieter after March.
  11. Passed 3 police cars with the new light tints and they left me alone. Just need a day to wash and wax now.
  12. In my experience on customers cars (non zed) heat caused misfire usually points to coil packs breaking down rather than plugs. If you have a scanner with a misfire counter it may help, especially as they're individual coils on these, replacing all 6 could be costly and not necessary.
  13. I think the process failure is more likely to be caused with the way the delivery tankers are maintained. I read of an issue where a shell tanker hadn't been cleaned properly, a lot of residue of whatever it is they used was left in the tanker, they refilled with fuel delivered it to a forecourt, every car that filled up broke down. I'm going back about 10 years now mind, it was in the press. Petrol doesn't go off,I believe diesel however does after a very long time. Supermarkets sell cheap fuel to use it as a shoe horn to get you in the shop, they make little to no profit on it, hence the price.
  14. They normally produce a map on the website and it'll be a case of finding our pitch number. It'll be main entrance then either the tunnel or the bridge onto the site. Some of us meet at Leicester services, but if that's out of the way, pre event meet thread will start popping up in April.
  15. I've got the same kit as you and have full clutch pedal travel. I did it different though, I ended up doing the slave a couple of months before the clutch and fly, so when I did the clutch, we just clamped off the line. It still took a couple of bleed attempts, but my mechanic used a pressure bleeder, so wasn't too bad.
  16. Headlights are tinted, I'm happy with the result, but fear I may have just painted a target for the police on my car. I've been told they should fade a little and become more transparent. Fortunately it's not my daily.
  17. Hi all, My washer motor isn't pumping for my windscreen, but the headlight washers do work. Are the 2 motors run off the same fuse and I need a new washer pump, or do I just need a new fuse? Also...where is the fuse box for that kind of thing? My hainespro account can't find much info on my zed. If it makes a difference its a rev up DE. Thanks Jay
  18. Babe pipe refers to the rigid pipes, on an mot the flexi bits are referred to as hoses. Front brake pipe is a little vague as there is a few of them. Some places do free brake inspections so a second opinion for clarity may be with while. If they're not too bad you could treat the existing pipes to stop them getting worse. According to the new mot narratives, they could have already been treated and are in fact fine.
  19. Could any of his stuff be blocking an air brick? It might be a way of opening a dialogue about it, mention the damp issue, and ask if he saw a ventilation brick there before he piled his stuff up. Chances are after so long he won't remember so will have to move it to check. I don't really to my neighbours, I don't like people despite having to deal with them daily . My neighbour though has a garage with a bit of space between it and the fence, he piles stuff in the gap and it has caused the fence to bow. On the one hand it's the fence he's accountable for, but if the fence falls down, it lands on the zed. It's bad enough I had to replace a tyre because he cut up a load of wood and I picked up a nail because of it.
  20. Only just seen this thread, I live in Derby, but run the Halfords Autocentre in Burton, my black 350 is usually parked out front weekends. As Sam said when the weather improves some meets will be good. @davey_83 has organised some good meets that have great turn outs.
  21. That'll just prompt a forum help thread that reads: I'm posting in forum help and it keeps vanishing, what am I doing wrong?
  22. I've got the cobra too and love it. Mine is combined with Kinnetix HFC's so I'd be interested to hear the difference between standard and sport cats with it.
  23. Received mine this week, as usual awesome quality with some stunning cars gracing the pages. Thanks team and contributors.
