  1. Found the link with some snaps and post code
  2. I did a meet at the coopers arms in Weston Upon Trent last year (derbyshire). We tried a second but the weather was against us. It does a great carvery, has a massive car park, and often host car clubs. We didn't do anything to upset them last year, so I'm sure they'd let us back. If memory serves, Tuesdays worked well last year. its about 10 mins up the a50 from the m1 junction.
  3. Agreed. She said on the phone she was going about 10mph when it came of, I bet it was still scary though.
  4. God knows when it happens to kwik fit/halfords/ats etc, the media are all over it.
  5. **. They gunned the wheels up at the side of the road, all 4 bolts are cross threaded. They don't seem to be bending over backwards to help her, they haven't even contacted me.
  6. This is what I came in to work to today. The best part? A certain recovery company fitted the spare for the lady and it came off whilst she was driving. She's under the impression they guy gunned the wheel on and stripped the threads out of the hub, but i'm yet to confirm this. Its going to be bringing it in to the work shop though if they have stripped the threads.
  7. It certainly adds to the professionalism by handing out a business card style note rather than a cut out printed version.
  8. Welcome. Mines high mileage, 128k miles and is lovely. My advice is to get one with a thorough history. I've only just changed the clutch on mine and it was still the original, but I've heard of them going between 40 and 60k before replacement so it all hangs on the history. Shop around and test drive lots. If you can see underneath before purchase it worth doing. Good luck
  9. The SO is angry at me at the minute so I'll mention it in a couple of days. I think I served her cup of tea at the wrong temp or something
  10. What we like to see are things like your s12 thread and things of a similar nature. What we try to avoid is people joining to sell their car and never be seen again. That's why 3 month or older threads that get resurrected with a token statement get deleted off your thread count.
  11. @zippypooz did the design for the 370z logo and shirt combo, and did a fantastic job of them. He obviously has his wrapping business to prioritise, but he has the 50 & 70 logo already. Just depends how busy he is with real work.
  12. A few zeds leaving trax. Mine is at 19 mins and about half of us had left already when I left.
  13. I'm going to try and make this one. I'll enter into discussions with the SO. One last outing before I sorn her for winter and do some tidying. That last bit is about the car not the wife.
  14. A few of my shots. I love my Jap cars but I do find trax refreshing with the variety you get. That being said most of my pictures are of jap cars... and a shed with an Audi v6 and nitrous.
  15. I just love that you have an LS engine just knocking around. I mean we all do obviously, I'm tripping over discarded v8s round my place (says a very jealous Jay). In all seriousness I'm looking forward to following this thread.
  16. If you were near Burton on Trent I'd say bring it to me and I'll do it free. It is easy to do, I fit and balance tyres and I'm just a manager without mechanical qualifications.
  17. Looks like we're near where we were last year on the grass. It's a little small, but we're on plot 12.
  18. Absolutely...I think Halfords Autocentres do a free wheel balance check... but it means taking it to Halfords. It's only 6.99 per wheel to do the balance.
  19. Maybe get the balance checked, while it's on the balancer it'll be easy to see stepping. Alignment won't help if they're stepped though.
  20. +1 on the tyre thing, especially if your wheel bearing was shot, it would mean the wheels weren't rotating properly. Its easy to check for flat spots though, you could even swap wheels left to right (if the tyres aren't rational fitting) and see if the noise swaps. Its really common with VAG cars to flat spot/step the rear tyres and sounds identical to a rough bearing.
  21. Forgive my ignorance, but what caused the failure? Was its a lack of oil from the hole, or was the hole caused by the failure?
