  1. Which makes it even more weird that my lifts go up after a break as this is when my diet goes to shite and I skip meals due to lack of routine.

    Brake Judder

The intense ones would be best I guess. Not the ones which say only to do light braking for 500 miles
  3. My lifts seem to go up after taking a break of a few weeks... And I don't mean after a few days training... The very first day back... I'm just a freak of nature Or maybe I don't get enough rest / recovery and the time off really helps?

    Brake Judder

Still posting everything in the wrong sections... One day... I very rarely touch my brakes at all, so it's new to me, but could have been there ever since I bought it. Only noticed it at all after Spoons pointed it out to me This could be part of the problem, and until recently I sometimes sit at the lights with my foot on the brake (never knew any better). Not sure when the discs were last changed, but according to Halfrauds they're at 29.1 and 29.2mm (out of 30mm new, and 28mm being the min). Pads were changed 1 year / 9000 miles ago. I'm assuming / hoping that it's just pad transfer build up or something causing an uneven surface rather than warping.
  5. English can be a bit ambiguous. You could argue that even if you "know what you are doing" you can still lose out. "They can have a much better return" would have been better
  6. Was about to say you missed out on the credit card cashback (0.5% with Nationwide Select and there's a few others who offer similar), but you just got that ninja edit in there Got all excited from the first line and thought you'd taken the plunge on the Vette
  7. Funny you should say that considering the majority of millionaires supposedly drive cheap cars. The ones who drive around in fancy cars can often barely afford them (if at all). Source: The internet.

    Brake Judder

Turns out I've got some judder under heavy breaking... Took the Z to Halfords for a free brake test (what's the worst that could happen), while I hid in the boot: They came back and said they didn't notice any problems... However, from watching the vid, it looks like there is some variation on the left dial that they didn't pick up on. Should that be cause for concern? Turns out they also tested the rears on the rolling road, so now I'm worrying about LSD damage. Gonna try jack it up and check for disc surface variation tomorrow.
  9. That does sound awesome. All it needs is some beds and a racetrack out back
  10. I've heard Ferrari are very elitist with who they will sell to, never mind who they let test drive. Every other manufacturer pales in comparison and they'd regard Porsche and Bentley as cars for plebs. Was considering an IS-F or XKR in a few years, but I think after driving a Z, I'm more fond of the low-slung sporty coupe over a family sedan. Lexus is definitely the best interior, features and comfort, but they apparently lack the sportiness and handling of the M3. Jag isn't that much of an old man brand anymore and definitely not compared to Lexus which is for those really ancient guys over 40.
  11. I think PH auto-fills those details, but you're right, it should be closer to 30
  12. What did you think of the IS-F? Dealers (except Ferrari etc) are usually more than happy to let anyone test drive cars, even those with zero intent to buy. There's a chance you may decide to buy or at least pass on a positive recommendation to others. Don't feel guilty
  13. At least I'm not the only one who loses a stone or more in a month if I'm not training. Though I'm just lazy during the holidays... My gym is 20 miles away from home, so it's not convenient to go there unless I'm at uni that day.
  14. Go for a test drive and see what you think, but...
  15. I believe it's fine to run on normal unleaded IF you don't drive it hard. It's not recommended, but it won't do any real damage unless you push it - though that kinda defeats the point in having the Z, so it's not really a solution...

    Spacers

Not to mention the extra weight
  17. Yes but there are so many other cars you could get for that kind of money that would be "lots of car for £70K" as you put it. 2010 Nissan R35 GTR ~ £40K odd plus lots of money left to tune it/run it. 2008 Audi R8 V8 ~ £40K odd plus lots of money left to tune it/run it. 2009 Audi R8 V10 ~ £55K odd plus lots of money left to tune it/run it. 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena F1 ~ £60K odd plus a fair bit of money left to tune it/run it. etc, etc. Granted not brand new cars but "lots of car for the money". Used C6 is £20-30k though....
  18. But could you live with a Stingray when the Grand Sport is only an extra £10k, and the Z06 is only another £10k on that.... Though they are all a hell of a lot cheaper in 'Murica.
  19. I'd have though it'd be the other way round if anything? Lightning never strikes twice.
  20. You could ask around and see if anyone local has some installed that you could sit in? (Try a local Facebook group or something.) Once you know you like them, you can buy them online.
  21. A classic car (like an F355) has gotta be seriously risky? There's a chance it won't appreciate enough, and that's before you start worrying about anything going wrong with it. Plus every time you so much as sit in it it loses value... I'd be so reluctant to drive it as it's basically just throwing away money
