I always thought the CD player skip was just due to condensation on the discs. Whenever it happens to me, I just eject the disc, wipe off the moist film, whack it back in and it plays fine again. That being said, it's as good an excuse as any to upgrade to a decent headunit.

AFAIK, nothing, but it depends how you drive. It has no impact on efficiency, it just prevents sharp acceleration.

£15 is £15... It's nothing to turn your nose up at. Up here you could get a couple rounds for that, though I guess darn south you'd be lucky to get half a shandy. Yup, when I was doing my research on German stuff it was an endless stream of failures of electronics and water pumps. They tried to copy all the tech in Jap cars, but they just can't match the level of reliability.

£10k is about right for an HR in decent condition. £7k would get you a mediocre Rev-Up or an excellent non-Rev-Up DE. Obviously lots of contributing factors that can change that, but it seems to be what they are selling for. As for cash / finance, a dealer would prefer you pay on finance, so if you intend to pay by cash / credit card, don't let them know until after you've haggled on the price.
