  1. I always thought the CD player skip was just due to condensation on the discs. Whenever it happens to me, I just eject the disc, wipe off the moist film, whack it back in and it plays fine again. That being said, it's as good an excuse as any to upgrade to a decent headunit.
  2. Didn't know there was an OEM one...?
  3. AFAIK, nothing, but it depends how you drive. It has no impact on efficiency, it just prevents sharp acceleration.
  4. Oh, is the what the "D" stood for in Dblock?
  5. PB has always been shite. It's slow, and a massive ballache to view full size images. (I use Ad Block Plus)
  6. I watch TV. Get some culture in you
  7. ^Looks like an ASBO ankle bracelet...
  8. Never really been a fan of the 6th gen, much preferred the facelift 5th. Though I'd take a '67 over both.
  9. Damn that's good looking watch. Obviously the Z watch is better, but that definitely comes a close 2nd.
  10. Hi Terry Would that be due to fuel etc, or maintenance and repairs?
  11. Tell them to skip a new aerial and just buy an RDX stubby - it'll be the first thing you do when the Zeditus kicks in Brake judder shouldn't need new discs / pads, and might just need re-bedding or skimming to clear them. That being said, if they are willing to buy you new discs / pads, then let them
  12. Yeah, I noticed all that stuff. I think the best / worst is misleading, especially when it has an asterisk and is only based on 1 model year. The chart on the left should be okay though. It's not ideal, but there's not much better for comparing makes / models for reliability on large scale. JD Power do one too:
  13. Fully comp is pretty much always cheaper over here than TP or TPFT too
  14. £15 is £15... It's nothing to turn your nose up at. Up here you could get a couple rounds for that, though I guess darn south you'd be lucky to get half a shandy. And for those of us (un)lucky enough to be in the higher tax bracket, that £15 becomes £25... It's not like it's harder to pay annually, if anything it's easier, why throw away money for nothing unless you have some desperate need or better use for that £300? I believe that is correct, but if you've already bought it, does that mean there is no tax on the vehicle now? Or is it currently SORN?
  15. Yup, serves me right for trying to do anything at 6am. Is there any actual consistency or reason for headlight washers or we're they just an option? Also, am I right in thinking they are only a legal requirement if you have Xenons? Pic came with the Nismo included, left it there for comprehensiveness.
  16. Yup, when I was doing my research on German stuff it was an endless stream of failures of electronics and water pumps. They tried to copy all the tech in Jap cars, but they just can't match the level of reliability.
  17. £10k is about right for an HR in decent condition. £7k would get you a mediocre Rev-Up or an excellent non-Rev-Up DE. Obviously lots of contributing factors that can change that, but it seems to be what they are selling for. As for cash / finance, a dealer would prefer you pay on finance, so if you intend to pay by cash / credit card, don't let them know until after you've haggled on the price.
  18. What lol? Admittedly Audi is now in the top 3, but that's only in the past few years, before that you heard nothing but bad things.
