  1. Amp? Aux input? Pull it off the velcro pad - there's probably a make / model on top.
  2. Nobody is that desperate for eyelids China stuff usually ships pretty fast (says a month, comes in a week). Alternative would be to get these and wrap them in vinyl faux CF.
  3. I took my front bumper off, which involved disconnecting the headlight washer fluid tubes. Most of the fluid drained out (from both tanks - which seem to be connected) and I collected it in bottles. About 5 pints of the stuff came out... Just tried pouring it back in, only manged a pint or so before it was gonna overflow. I assume there's just trapped air, but I've no idea how to clear it out. Tried using the windscreen and headlight washers, it went down a bit, but not 4 pints worth... What am I doing wrong?
  4. He should just reschedule the wedding. Is he really your mate if he doesn't? The 2017 annual meet is only ever gonna happen once, there will never be another. You can get married whenever...
  5. Can't take it seriously though. Doesn't help he keeps saying Celica wrong....
  6. Yeah, not like Merc and Honda
  7. I didn't get a direct report, I just got told indirectly that "no wear was found". Will it be obvious from a quick glance whether the mounts need replacing? Yup, seen and watched. Will have to try borrow some decent ramps / axle stands and a torque wrench if I do it my self.
  8. An independent examiner apparently stripped the gearbox and found no signs of wear. :S
  9. Orrr spend about £90, and 40 mins to put in a new mount Sounds like a plan. Only bought the car a few months ago, so will see if the dealer will provide any assistance. I I do it, will I need a torque wrench though?
  10. Not worth rebuilding the lip again with filler then?
  11. Never considered mounts, cheers. Do you know the technical reason of why it causes a problem? Why does it not happen if I pause?
  12. I'm getting a grind when shifting into 5th / 6th from any gear unless I pause or shift (IMO) slow. This happens every time I shift into 5th/6th in a normal fashion, but to exaggerate the problem, I've demonstrated it in the video below without actually bringing the clutch up and engaging the gear at all. Can anyone confirm if this is normal / acceptable? As you can see, quickly swapping between 3rd /4th it is very quiet, but between 5th/6th there is a noticeable grinding sound unless I pause for a fraction where there is resistance (which is also demonstrated - watch closely, it happens quite fast, but you can see 2 distinct stages to the shifts with no grinding sound). I'm assuming this is due to worn synchros as I've been told before, and Molyslip may help, but in reality am I just shifting too fast for the gearbox? I assume not, since there is no problem with the other gears, but I don't understand gearboxes well enough... Can (or does) anyone replicate the same shifting speed without any problems, or is it an innate issue with the Z? Cheers
  13. Raw power or "speed"? SC/T/TT 350 would be nice, and a pre-built one is very good value, but it's still a 350, which isn't a bad thing, but there's probably better options. After 6 pages I can't remember what's been said and re-reading it all is a lot of effort, but what about other cars? There's a fair few E92 M3's, Evo's and STI's around for that price which should handle better and are faster. Failing that, you've got the Cayman, or you might manage a 911. Or there's stuff like the Maserati 4200 and Jag XKR? Even a couple of VXR8s...
  14. I assume it's just the ones where the name isn't specified (missing from the records, maybe custom?). Also I thought they stopped selling the SLR ages ago?
  15. Would still have made more financial sense to wait another year or 3 and get a used Model X.
  16. Not to mention it's a hell of a lot less catastrophic if you **** up.
  17. If only I had the money... You should hire Dan to sell it for you. Will be gone within the day GLWS
  18. Unless you want to go to Amsterdam.

Maybe? The calipers are, but I have no idea what pads and discs it's got anymore.
