  1. Added you to the list No idea how long these things usually last and the time isn't set in stone. I'm sure we can manage to accommodate each other.

I know, it's a meme... Ah, never mind, wrong demographic. Point is, they (in my opinion) look like an after thought, and a tacky one at that, much like the weird floating screen in Mercs. Have you been inside a Lexus? Everything looks like it belongs and exudes luxury and aesthetic design. No stupid jet turbines stuck to the dash, just smooth, clean lines.
  3. All the dipping went out the window, mainly due to it being too cold, however... "Penny" mod Originally stuck some hard leather discs in the boot poppers, but they've become deformed and I wasn't keen on the extra pressure inside. Took them out and instead moved the boot latch itself down a couple mill and now it's popping open perfectly again. Much better solution Tow Cover Finally got a front tow cover so the grill doesn't look like shite anymore (even with the crap photo quality in the dark) Stickers First letter I've received addressed to "Strudul" Will fit them tomorrow. Thinking passenger rear quarter window would be the best spot? Cheers Stu Wheel re-trim Z steering wheel is a bit too thin and hard for my liking, so as per this thread, I'm gonna try re-trimming my wheel, aiming for a semi-pro finish. Watched a load of vids and I reckon I can pull it off, first thing to sort is materials... Got some samples through. Pleather, but lined with 3mm of scrim foam, which I thought would save me some work. Not convinced with the quality though, seems to distort too easily and the foam is too thin to have any benefit. Reckon I'll source some proper leather from UK Hide (recommended by Royal Steering Wheels) and then stitch some thicker (6mm +) foam to it. Super secret special project Might do a project log for this. As important as a stubby and forum stickers are, this, though a tad controversial, is definitely more exciting. Been doing some cardboard mock-ups - think I've got a good idea of what I'm doing now, and will be sourcing some aly asap so i can get started properly.
  4. Looks like we have decided on a location and date for the meet (see title). I'll be there for around 2pm to try find a nice empty area of the car park so we can all park together, but you guys can just rock up whenever you like. Nothing on the agenda as of yet, up to you guys. Plenty of options though, or we can just have a chat and get to know each other - maybe make some future plans. As before, comment and add yourself to the list so we know who is coming. Address: Xscape Castleford Colorado Way Glasshoughton Castleford WF10 4TA I'm sure you all know where it is, just follow the spotlights and look for the huge purple building, you can see it from miles away Looks like we may finally pull this off, don't let us down now Old post:

Nah, the Citroen concept looked badass
  8. Yep, great bargain. Almost as much as spending ~£1500 on a watch when you can get one for £15.

It says £55k for the TT (or $50k)...
  10. "Location: Norwich" And you guys wonder why you get such a bad rep for being... a bit too close to your family. We hold the tongue when it comes to family
  11. Thanks for all the replies and welcomes guys! Much appreciated! What should I do with the shift gate?? Click the linky I gave you...

Actually the article was stolen from Car and Driver, who credit the illustration to Best Car Magazine Pedantry aside, I agree, it won't look anything like that (I hope).
  13. I get the grind into 6th, asked around a lot and had a few recommendations (but not put any into practice yet): - Molyslip - Synchros - Mounts (gearbox probably, but maybe diff or engine) - Shift gate alignment

Didn't see this posted anywhere else... Clicky
  15. Sounds like a stupid idea to insist on PayPal then, which has a strong bias towards protecting buyers. Would be beyond easy to get a refund when it turns out to be a scam.
  16. Did it sound good though? There are people for who this would be an intentional mod
  17. Well I started just removing all the trim in sight, but then realised all you have to do it pry up the plastic cover under the secret hiding place where the manual lives. First question, I removed these 2 screws, were they holding anything important on the other side or can I just put them back in? Second question (purely out of curiosity), what's this? For the keen eyed among you, yes that's a golf tee, more glass AND 10P!!!
  18. Lovely... Tempted to take off that cover and have a look while I'm there, scared what I'll find though... Should probably clear out the glass behind the glovebox while I'm at it... anyone know how easy it is to remove? Any guides? Kinda wanna check the rear crash bar too. How easy would it be to get a visual on it? Full rear bumper off job? Here's what I've found so far: -Keychain -Candle -Glass -Dirty tissue -Receipts x2 -A fake leaf (or leaves)
  19. Rear quarters look OEM. All glass has the Nissan markings / codes on apart from the rear window, so I'm guessing it'll be that? Looks like it's fallen through the boot floor: Question is, has someone smashed it to break in, or was it due to an impact on the car itself...
  20. Had the sub out cos it was annoying me and was having a good look behind to see if I could see any problems, when I noticed some broken glass. Took out the mat / liner and it's just everywhere.... Any idea where it's come from or how it got there? It looks like an enclosed area to me, so I don't see how it could have gotten through all that trim and into that hole... There's also a bonus purple candle...
  21. Would those holes in the rear strut bar be for the OEM boot divider? I'm making massive assumptions cos I didn't even know it existed until recently...
