  1. Whoa! Have I just jumped back into the 80s? We'll be painting the letters on our tyres white next
  2. It only happens to me when it has been snow/ice or raining. That little extra weight means I have to watch my head. During the Spring/Summer it isn't usually an issue.
  3. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/103330-the-bounty-bar-kids-2008-hr-350z-for-sale/ So, if that sold privately for £9750 how do you value the car described above at £9500-£10k? I may be low in my estimate (just what I value it at), but I think you are high with yours. Hopefully gives the fella a better idea though
  4. Yeah, looks genuine. I often register for services etc with the +whatever after my email to avoid spam in return. You can also tell who is selling your data without permission to spammers by doing this.
  5. I'd say around the £7k mark for a private sale. The mileage hurts it a bit, otherwise you may have asked a grand or two more. Just my opinion of course.
  6. I tried clearing the fault codes down several times but it always came back on. Ended up needing a new O2 sensor and remap.
  7. Ha ha unlucky Bradders. Don't get my point wrong, I'd buy low mileage (very low by most people's standards) every time and pay a bit extra... not that it is a guarantee of longevity in itself mind you...
  8. Have a look in the Zeds for Sale section here and there are some good ones on Auto Trader and Pistonheads at the moment. Having just bought myself this year, I think you'll do well to get a sub 50k mile car with you budget, so as has been said above don't get too hung up on mileage and look at condition. Good luck!
  9. I would guess they meant front reflectors?? Although not sure why they would need to be altered. Seems like i may just have to wait ans see..To be fair the higher tax wouldnt stop me getting it. Would just be good to know. Is there anyone i can phone to find out for definite? DVLA
  10. I'm 80% certain it is the registered in UK, rather than manufactured, date. I think there are some exceptions, but it has to do with being manufactured prior to 2001 and what the CO2 emissions were recorded at on regsitration... If I recall correctly from by imported Impreza days... Pretty sure you are in the high tax bracket of post 2006 cars. Try this if you have the reg number: https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax (EDIT: this no longer tells you how much - sure it used to)
  11. My car is 12 years old and has no rust. It was under sealed at some stage, which may have helped. I use my car all year, so expect some rust eventually. It is just a result of the climate we have and a maintenance expense to eventually address. 12 years and no sign is good going in my opinion though. Like any car, depends how it has been maintained.
  12. Isn't the JDM restricted which requires a remap to remove?
  13. Nitro Mors is great, but may also damage the lens in this instance.
  14. Just fitted mine this morning. Looks great, thanks. Looks OEM to the untrained eye (should be there as standard really), which is important to me. Anyone thinking about one of these should get one. Great quality product.
  15. Poor that no details were left. Good body shop will sort that for a few hundred notes though. Not the end of the world
  16. I have the Invidia, but it doesn't have the burnt looking tips. Just a nice discreet rolled finish. Not sure what sort it is... anyway, it sounds awesome when the revs are up but is quiet and refined (i.e. non boy racer) at usual revs.
  17. An original Nismo one of only 1700 or so made, worth every penny. Being an auto or import is completely irrelevant because of the above. Being modified hurts a collectors car. Needs putting right. Also, limited edition doesn't make a collector. I might be wrong but I don't see this in the same league as a TME Evo, 22B, RS500, etc...
  18. It's all in the eye of the beholder, but that body kit is hideous... rare or not. The 350Z has beautiful lines, so why would you want to stick bits like that all over it?
  19. Agreed, impossible to diagnose over the Internet and you've listed all the obvious possible solutions - fuel pump would have been my first bet. It is a fault though and not a characteristic. I have a remapped 350Z DE (standard except the exhaust) and it doesn't behave like that. EDIT: assuming you are running it on decent fuel as well.
  20. 1. bigjimg (Orig) 2. mdunbar 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. I take it they look this good from both sides aye?
  21. Be rude not to: https://drive.google...M193ZVZmUW9NdEE - standard car with JWT pop filter, high flow cats and Invidia exhaust. Since buying it I have (must get new photos): Had a major service Changed the rear brake pads Fitted a stubby aerial Changed the Nissan badges to JDM/Zed badging Had the car remapped Fitted a private plate I need new brake pads and discs in the Spring. Car was at 15,900 miles when I bought it but I am using it daily so now at 16,500. It has been very well cared for but needs to be used. I don't do loads of miles but at least it isn't just sitting in someones garage any more.
  22. Free bump. Is the gear knob for sale yet?
  23. Wow! I almost went to see the car, back in Sept when I was looking, that you bought. Shocking what's happened and I hope you get a result through legal channels. Let us know what the outcome is.
  24. I would just take it out and fit a Tom Tom/Garmin or use your phone. This is the problem with built in tech in cars, it dates very quickly (Nokia 3210 integration). I find the extra storage space more use than the sat nav option.
  25. How long does a treatment tend to last out of interest? My car has been under sealed by a previous owner and was just wondering when I should think about getting it redone... if that is necessary.
