  1. Yes, I do think it was the rear sensor that was showing the issue. Thanks for the reply.
  2. Hi, Firstly, please bear with me as I am a driver not a mechanic. I'd only get 1 spanner in a Haynes Manual Okay, bought a 350Z recently and just had it fully serviced. everything is running great except the engine management light is always on. Mechanic was telling me it is a fault on a sensor on the exhaust. He has reset it for me but it comes back on almost as soon as the car is driven. He reckons the sensor may have been damaged when the exhaust was changed and has recommended replacing it. The exhaust is not stock - an Invidia exhaust with Jap speed HFC. I've done a bit of searching on here and read about O2 sensor spacers sometimes resolving the issue. Should I look further into this before going ahead and getting my mechanic to replace the sensor? Where do I get them and are they easy to fit? Thanks, Michael
  3. Took me a while to find mine too. Pistonheads, autotrader and here seemed to be the best sources. Check daily and you have to be quick when one comes up as the standard, low mileage, reasonably priced ones don't seem to hang around for long at all.
  4. My bike isn't even a sports bike (a 2013 Tuono V4R) and will hit 60 from a standing start in under 3 seconds. They come with just as much electronic wizardry as cars these days TC, anti-wheely, etc... I've left many an Evo and Impreza driver wondering what was wrong with his car on the way up to Hartside (twisty and sweeping roads). I know those cars are quick as I have owned both in the past with the Impreza running 400bhp. Would get nowhere near my bike and I am just an average rider. Would need to be a very special car to live with a modern sports bike on any dry road.
  5. I don't know why I am being drawn into this conversation by people who clearly know nothing about motorcycling. Think Bike people. Remember how vulnerable they are whether they annoy you or not.
  6. Come one we all know cars are quicker round corners. Simple maths with the rubber on the road! Wrong actually. Cars are quicker into corners, due to being able to brake much later and harder, but bikes are far quicker coming out of them. The difference with bikes is you have to be a good rider to carry corner speed in the corner itself, whilst just about anyone can make a car go fast - apart from the evo driver of course
  7. Its not being held up off the line its on the B roads after that. Other than driving like a tool the Biker and Evo did exactly the same thing. Got in the wrong lane to take the exit they wanted. The Biker clearly saw the Evo and changed lanes, unless its a massive coincidence he looked over at exactly the right time... I regularly move out of the way for Bikers on motorways and when there is loads of traffic. But them coming to the front of the queue and putting there bike straight in front of my car with a couple of inches gap does annoy me. It might be legal but it isn't safe for anyone! What is unsafe about it? As long as you give way to the vehicle in front, as you are legally supposed to do, then there is no danger at all. It just takes a bit of common sense on everyone's part as to when it is safe to filter as a biker and when as a car driver you should make room so as not to impede another road users journey. The fact it annoys you is irrelevant.
  8. Xbox One for me, mainly because all my mates went down that route. I think it is excellent and it sounds like you use your console in the way I do. You get some pretty decent free games through Xbox Gold now as well - I just downloaded Tomb Raider for example. Means I only buy the big games in the genres I like (Rainbow Six, Battlefield, Destiny, Star Wars) and get the others when old and free on Xbox Gold. Friends that have both consoles only seem to use the PS4 for exclusive games, which like on Xbox, are few and far between these days.
  9. I guessed at a bandit, but you might be right on second look. Doesn't sound like a litre bike, but could well be a GSXR 600 / 750... I thought he was very restrained not to go and have a "more detailed conversation" with the fella
  10. Probably a silly question, but did the roof work okay yesterday when you tested the car?
  11. It is in the Highway Code that bikes can filter when safe to do so. That was clearly the case here. Plenty of room and he waited for stationary traffic before getting into position. You avoid filtering alongside HGVs, as they can't see you and always try to get to the front of a lane and just ahead of a car so the driver can clearly see you. Sometimes a blip of the throttle helps get you noticed, but is often misinterpreted as aggression or some sort of challenge. This looks to me like a simple case of a butt hurt idiot proving he can pull away faster than what looks like (from what I can see) nothing more than a 600cc commuter style motorcycle. He wants locking up for endangering lives like that.
  12. Filtering from the wrong lane? Legal yes, idiotic as well. He saw that Evo, and thought he'd have a bit of it. I don't care what he says, there was no need for him to pull over right next to it unless that was his plan. We must be watching a different video. Not what I see at all.
  13. Biker did nothing wrong. He just filtered, which is perfectly legal. He didn't pull away fast, so wasn't trying to instigate a race. Just another dick head car driver.
  14. I'm relatively local, but never heard of them. Looked them up and they have only been trading since 2014, which may explain that: https://companycheck...ORS-LTD/summary (EDIT: Not sure why the business is registered in the Midlands but it is the same company trading in Durham from what I can see). It looks a nice car though. Good luck!
  15. No bank should need any notice whatsoever to withdraw £7,000....................... Small branches may not always have large sums (not that £7k is large in banking terms), but yeah I agree. I called ahead because it was a village branch, but it wasn't a problem as I said initially.
  16. Yeah I think the dealers just making him work as mustn't be happy with deal. Makes little sense otherwise. You need to move banks mate. That's shocking. If you have the funds, you should be able to withdraw them in full with a few hours notice at most.
  17. You can withdraw the cash from the bank, just give them a ring before you go. I wandered in to my local bank last week and withdrew the cash to buy my Zed. You just need some photo ID. I had to wait for time lock vault to open but there was no issue. I'm with the dealer on this one. You have to make the effort if the offer is his bottom line.
  18. Oh okay. Will look thanks. My initial search (i.e. google and ebay) only revealed US suppliers.
  19. Looking for a mint condition grab handle cover thingy (see photo) before going through the chew on of ordering a new one from the US.
  20. Yeah, I'm actually warming to it. Thought it was a tad bit loud at first but it isn't annoyingly loud unless you want it to be with your right foot that is.
  21. A few more photos after a wash today: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9TzG4SWiCpIM193ZVZmUW9NdEE&usp=sharing Not sure how to embed from Google Drive. In to specialist for a bit of work, then to a detailer for claybar/polish. My parts list has already started
  22. It is not quite a barn find, but you do make a point. I'm under no illusions it is a 12 year old car. It is going to a local specialist as soon as I can get it in. Thanks everyone.
